Great modern hotel. Lovely rooms. Helpful staff. Really nice onsen. Was great to have washing machines available .

Nothing. It was excellent- except maybe the parking. It was a bit confusing . There are two external parking lots they have a deal with - to limit the parking to 12000y a day. However that is only if you enter after 1500hrs. The parking lots each also operate a bit differently . We ended up paying quite a bit more because we had to take our car out once during our 3 day stay and also because we arrived and parked before 1500 hrs . Just something to factor in :)

Good big size rooms and breakfast. Outdoor bath is pretty good too.

The only thing that seemed a bit strange to me was that when I tried to check in just 5 minutes early, I was asked to wait because they were still cleaning the room. Then, during my 4-day, 3-night stay, the room wasn’t cleaned because I didn’t put out the sign before 9 a.m.—which I didn’t do because I was having breakfast. That didn’t really make sense to me. Other than that, everything was okay. I do think they should offer room cleaning a bit later in the morning, especially for guests staying multiple days—at least until 10:30 a.m.

The location is good, but most importantly the room is very spacious and comfortable. At the price point it is excellent value. Having reception near the top floor is interesting but makes a nice atmosphere and view for check-in and for breakfast. The elevator is very fast and smooth. I think it is the nicest hotel i stayed in on a 3 week trip and not even close to the most expensive. Staff are friendly and helpful. Close to tram stop.

There is very little to criticise. The view from my room was nothing special but not bad. Maybe a welcome drink at the restaurant would be nice.

The location is possibly the best for Nagasaki. It is located in Chinatown and next to Dejima. In addition, a major tram stop is only a few steps away, making it easy to get to Peace Park, the main station, Glover Gardens, and others. We found the room to be comfortable, with a nice daybed in place of the usual desk in hotels like this. The room bath was well-appointed, and the top-floor public indoor/outdoor bath was good. The price was quite reasonable.

About our only problem while staying there was the lack of sanitizing solution. There was none in the lobby or the room. After the pandemic, and with Japan now in the midst of a strong flu season, nearly all hotels have sanitizer everywhere.

Hospitality of a hotel is defined by the degree of how it's management provides for the guest. This includes administratively. On the train from Kagoshima, preparing for that day's check in, I look at my reservation in horror, as the checkin date was 2 days prior! Panic prevailed as this was a costly reservation and the hotel probably was full. Miraculously, CANDEO Hotel management understood the situation and generously allowed that now expired reservation to be used for two day w/o penalty. Of course some vacant rooms that day were fortunately available. In any event CANDEO Hotel saw beyond financial gain to provide genuine hospitality to us. The stay and quality of the hotel was superurb and the public and guestroom design excelled. As a retired design Architect who has worked on significant hotels internationally, I know quality and design excellence.

Great location! There is a public car park just in front of the hotel. The breakfast buffet is served in a spacious room with a great view over the city. The buffet was nicely put together. The onsen is clean and well designed, it is not very big but there is an indoor and outdoor bath.

We slept with 2 adults and 2 children. The 2 single beds were put together, to accommodate 2 adults and 1 child (there is an extra sofa bed for the other child). We had to sleep in the width direction of the beds. We slept well, but it is something to keep in mind. The room was not very big. For the onsen: It is a shame the men have a sauna area and the women a steam room. It would have been nice if both would have been offered for both genders.

This is a very nice hotel, walkable from the station in 15-20 mins if you prefer to. Quiet, good-sized rooms and very clean. Comfortable bed and pillows. Very nice that you get replenished water when you get fresh towels. Lots of nearby konbini and restaurants, I chose to walk to the Peace Park but the tram stop is right there. Would recommend.

I think the instructions about room cleaning could be clearer, I understood that towels and bin would be replenished/emptied daily but it was done so early that when I left the room at 10am my towels had already been left which is fine, but I removed the DND marker hoping they might come back for the bins but that isn’t the case so my bins weren’t emptied for three days. It’s a minor thing and wouldn’t stop me coming back.

The facade, the reception on the 11th floor, the gorgeous view and my room. Room: It was one of the biggest rooms I had in my 17 day Japan trip. The furnishing and the set-up was tastefully done and elegant. Breakfast: The spread was generous and the venue was on the 11th floor just next to the reception. Very spacious dining area with excellent views of Nagasaki. Sauna: Well-appointed and big. I enjoyed the sauna morning and evening. Location: One needs to take Tram 1 to Chinatown stop but Candeo Hotel is within walking distance to most attractions except for Atomic Museum and Peace Memorial Park and the 26 Martyrs Museum. Also, one can easily take tram 1 (or other trams within the vicinity) which accesses all the main sights. Staff: Exceptionally attentive and hospitable. Thank you for the room on the 10th floor. I really appreciate it.

Great location. Perfect to reach a lot of restaurants and all relevant attractions as well as transportation. A parking lot is right opposite to the hotel, you get round about a 50% discount so we paid 1200Y per day. Spa is nice (women and men separate) and staff at the reception helpful. Overall price/quality ratio was amazing: 100€ per night with 3 persons and breakfast

Actually everything is fine except one thing: The quality of the breakfast is just poor. We ended up going there once and afterwards just for a coffee and then somewhere else.

The location is fantastic - a short ride from the station, and a short walk to all the sights. We had a corner room - so fantastic views, and a really comfortable sofa bed arrangement for our son - a mattress and bedding to put on top of the long, wide window seat that could be packed underneath during the day. The highlight by far though is unlimited use of the 12th floor spa. Steam room, and indoor/outdoor pools for women; sauna, cold pool and hot indoor/outdoor for men. It’s closed between 11am and 3pm for cleaning - otherwise available to relax and revive you at any time of the day or night.
