Very elegant hotel, with a spacious lounge that even has a piano! The room was big and the view from the upper floors was spectacular. It is very close to Stadium City, which is a must visit place for football fans, there are shops, restaurants, you can freely explore the stadium, and at night there are light shows every 30 minutes. Tram station is right in the front of the hotel, and the Nagoya station is a 10 min walk away. The staff is very friendly and when you arrive you receive pamphlets with information about the hotel, its surroundings and popular visiting spots. The curtains are very good at blocking the daylight when you want to sleep more in the morning. There is self-service laundry available and 24/7 Family Mart entrance right from the hotel.

The lighting in the room is weak even with all lights on.

The old style hotel with amazing foyer. We have travelled all across Japan and this is the largest room that we have had for the same or less price than competitors. Location was 700m from the JR rail station, we flew in by plane and used the bus to the station. Outside the hotel is a simple tram line where you get on at the rear, tap your Suica card or equivalent and tap again at the front when you get off. Ask the desk if they have an English local map and it shows the tram lines and stops. Staff at the hotel were very good and it is great to have people to help and assist instead of the drive to progress to a screen or machine. They were always on hand at the lifts to assist. There is a family mart attached to the hotel so you can buy snacks, meals or drinks if you want to take back to the room at a low cost price. Kettle and bottled water was supplied for that cup of tea, we usually fill the kettle from the sink and boil as water in Japan is safe. Would definitely stay hear again if we came back to Nagasaki.

Nothing to dislike really, the hotel could do with a bit of a spruce up with some of the paintwork but never bothered us. The overall interior, rooms and staff more than made up for tired paint work.

The room we had was extra large and the bathroom toiletries supplied by the hotel were excellent quality and quantities. Breakfast was included in our room rate and the food was excellent quality also. We did however feel the choice of food available for Australians was a little restrictive, but then we were in a foreign country. The staff were very helpful and the location to the train station was very good. We walked to and from the station to the hotel although it may be a little to far for the elderly. The local tram stop was right outside as well as buses.

The only negative I could say was being from Australia my husband likes to drink black tea which wasn't supplied or available by the hotel. The pillows for us were too hard but everyone has different sleep requirements.

The hotel is located within walking distance from Nagasaki station and the surrounding malls, making travelling via Shinkansen a good choice. There is also a tram line running beside the hotel itself, making transportation to some attractions like the Nagasaki Atomic Museum easy. Also, there is a Family Mart combini on the 1st floor of the hotel, making quick snacks a breeze. Additional note, they recently built a laundry room on the 5th floor so doing your laundry won't be an issue anymore. The staff were very friendly and nice. They also went further by showing you a map of all the places you can visit or to eat.

It's an older hotel (I imagine it would've been something really grand back in its heyday), but still well maintained. Hotel is decorated with antiques, porcelain pieces from the region or random knick-knacks from the past (I particularly enjoyed the md player, ds lite and j-pop cds in the restaurant). Speaking of the restaurant, the breakfast buffet gives a variety of options spanning a traditional Japanese breakfast (e.g.fish, rice porridge, ochazuke, natto), a more european style (saussages, bacon, scrambled eggs), a selection of pastries and fresh fruits, puddings and soft serve as a sweet option. I wouldn't say the options were plentiful, but everything on offer was superb. Had a room on the 10th floor. Spacious by Japanese standards, modern smart tv, reasonable sized bathtub. Nothing to complain about. Hotel offered convenient parking for guests (for a fee) but if you didn't drive, it's still only a short walk from Nagasaki station. Finally the staff were all so welcoming and helpful. I don't normally feel inclined to leave reviews but I must convey my thanks to everyone who made us feel at home during our stay. I really felt the pride the hotel took in representing Nagasaki and the local region.

Good location only about 8 minute walk from JR station. Bus (including airport bus) & tram stop in front of hotel. The public onsen/bathing facility with outdoor section was nice to relax in. Breakfast buffet was one of the best we had whilst in Japan. Staff very friendly.

The bed was too hard for my liking. We spoke with staff and although the hotel did not have pillow tops for the beds, they happily put a quilt under the sheets which helped with comfort alot.

Spacious room with a fantastic view. Amazing breakfast spread and view from the breakfast restaurant on the 15th floor. Located very close to the tram station (the tram stops right outside of the hotel), as well as Nagasaki Station. Convenience store located within the hotel premises, which rocks out the definition of convenience!

The air conditioning system in the rooms is slightly lacking - even putting the fan speed on strong, there was barely any ventilation in the rooms (this is not so much a problem for winter when it's cold, but during the summer, it may be more of a problem). In addition, for our junior suite, the air conditioning was only in the bedroom - there seemed to be no air conditioning vents in the living room, so the living room could get a bit stuffy.

Very convenient location for all touristy places. Great breakfast, with a lot of western and asian options. Staff is helpful and accomodating. Nice window view overlooking the city.

Air quality in the hotel is rather poor, so if you are sensitive - better look for other options. Rooms and halls in the upper floors have cigarette smoke smell even though they are non-smoking - signs of poor ventilation. Had to request room change for this reason (request was accepted and the process itself went smoothly).

Honestely i usually stay at JR hotel due to the convenience but it was fully booked so i gaved it a try and im glad i did. The staff was exceptional. I loved the service there. The roo. Had good view too but the windows glass were very blurred for some reason so it was impossible to take any nice pictures which is unfortunate. But the room was lovely and huge. For Japan this is exceptional. It was not too far from the station and the tram stop is right opposite the hotel so it's fantastic location for sightseeing. I have enjoyed it a lot. I'd stay again. They also offer free shuttle bus to and from mt. Inasa but the times are very late so I haven't used it .like 7pm -10pm only. You have to pre book it at reception. Great stay overall

The property was luxe and we definitely felt special staying there. The staff were all lovely and efficient and we were able to access our room a little early as it was ready for us. We really appreciated that. The Kombini at the door was such a bonus as well for the usual convenience purchases

It was a little difficult to find places for dinner in the area. But that was down to local knowledge, and we should probably have asked at the front desk for some recommendations.
