The ground unit offered a huge space for a family of 4, with a super modern, beautiful clean room, a strong wife and all the facilities you could have asked for - including cooking. The price was good for what you get, and we wish we had spent a third night in Nagasaki. The location requires transport anywhere you're going - you could easily drive or take that electric tram.

Staying at Grand Base before, we already knew how to work out the exhausting self-check-in and expected no human service. Parking is a problem - plan ahead where you keep your car overnight, and expect to pay about 1,500 yen.

The apartment was spacious and very comfortable. It was well equiped and super clean. It is located within walking distance of the station with plenty of public transportation around to explore nagasaki

The checkin process is fully automated but we did not like it. We arrived but earlier than checkin time so there was no way to get to the room as the system does not allow it (even if it was ready). What is worse is that there is no place to leave the luggage so we had to drag them to the nearby stadium with us and wait till we could checkin.

Spacious and very comfortable apartment with a well equipped kitchen and washing machine which is very handy. Good location and walking distance to Nagasaki station, restaurants and shopping malls. Near the bus stops and easy to travel about with the buses.

Would be helpful if there was a toaster.

The GB Saiwaimachi is a solid product. Apartments appear new, very well appointed (except for no ironing facilities). Our apartment was next to a reasonably busy road at the front of the complex so request a room at the back if noise is an issue for you. Overall, however the GBS comes highly recommended for the money. Also, don't forget you'll need to pay a 100JPY per person (bed tax) at (self) checkin even if you've prepaid via a 3rd party (e.g. booking.com, Agoda etc

Huge room. Beds were great. Great location. Could wash and dry clothes easily. Was very very clean. Loved it! We even had a lounge!

It was great. Although the air conditioner was a bit odd and we couldn’t get it right on last nights the instructions on the tablet didn’t match our control.

Spacious and well appointed. Great value for money and well located for easy access to train station and streetcar. Convenience store close by and quick take away restaurant downstairs. Access to Netflix on the tv was a bonus. Contactless check in was easy to do.

The room had everything we needed and it was a short walk from the main station and also the tram stop. Beer for sale in the hotel vending machine.

By Japanese standards the cleanliness wasn't great - lots of dust in obvious locations. The room was also very gloomy, with little natural light, but that didn't matter so much as we only used it to sleep in. The automated checking in via the internet to get the password and to pay the local tax was a little complicated.

There isn't any conbini shop (7-11/Family Mart etc) ard the hotel. Only a bento shop (We'SN, opening hours 09-2100hrs) at the corner. The water pressure was awesome but somehow it caused the shower head to flew off the holder and landed on my friend's toe which resulted in an injury.

Easy self check in and check out with clear instructions given prior. The room was clean, and the facilities were working well.

Not near the train station, not many eateries nearby. Only washer, no dryer. There is no TV in the room.

Very spacious rooms, near to train station. Automated check-in was a breeze, 10-15 min walk to mall, it was in a quiet area, a little dark at night but still a safe neighborhood, we are in Japan after all
