A very nice mid-range ryokan. Our Japanese style tatami room was big - two rooms plus an area with two chairs by the window which made a nice change from sitting on the floor. The public bath was lovely, with a very nice outdoor bath overlooking the city. The ryokan is set high above Nagasaki but there’s a shuttle service in to town. We missed the bus one morning and, rather than wait an hour for the next one, we walked down. It only took about 20 minutes via footpaths and stairs. I wouldn’t want to walk up! Breakfast was a buffet, with a mix of western style and Japanese options. We had the local Shippoku meal one night which we enjoyed. It’s served on the main dining room, not in tatami rooms or your own room as we’ve had in some ryokan. The room is a bit anonymous but it has an excellent view over the lights and sea. Staff were very helpful. Limited English but we speak enough Japanese to get by. Google translate would be adequate if you don’t have any Japanese.

Great views overlooking the city, comfortable room. Excellent service, and excellent breakfast buffet featuring a large variety of excellent options. Onsen has an outdoor bath overlooking the city! My spacious room had western style beds, plus an 10-mat tradition room (washitsu) with futon if desired. Free hourly shuttle bus to downtown at the train station makes arriving or visiting the sites easy enough (you won't necessarily need a car.)
The hotel and furnishings are quite dated, however this did not affect my comfort or the stay itself. Location is not downtown, maybe not the best if you are staying for business, but for vacationers, the views cannot be beat.

We like the onsen. The breakfast is good esp the bread. Lots of food to choose from. The location is perfect because we can view Nagasaki from our window. Which give us a very relaxing feeling. The staff were very kind even though we came back late in the evening knowing the ofuro time is over, he asked us if we wanted to use the ofuro and allowed us to use it . Very kind and accommodating. They answered everything we want to know. Thank you very much for this wonderful experience from your hotel. I will recommend it to my friends. Highly recommended.
I think everything is good.

The buffet breakfast had a lovely combination of Japanese and Western food items, including a chocolate fountain. The dinner menu included local, seasonal dishes. We forgot two items in our room, and the staff was so kind when we contacted them on the phone. The shuttle service from the station was very generous and convenient. The view from our room was even more beautiful than the picture shows.

The shuttle bus service from the hotel to Nagasaki Station is convenient, I left my car in the hotel. The room is large, clean and comfortable. The attention by the service staffs is great and always smiling. As the room is huge, the switches are all over the room. As most instructions are in japanese, I could not find the heater controls and the room was cold. A call to the reception and within minutes, a hotel staff was in the room to adjust the room temperature, very quick response. The breakfast was excellent.
The room looks like it needs a little bit of upgrading as the bed, carpets and furniture/curtains looks very dated. It is still a nice room and everything works.

Nice breakfast, onsen, free ice pops, service, staff, location, view. I would stay here again!
Ooh, the drive up the hotel was steep (and hence great view) and if you are not confident with driving, better not attempt it. They have shuttle bus 3 times a day to two or three places (including Nagasaki Station) for guests who do not drive. The futon is the usual futon. It would be great if there was an additional foam layer like at some other places

Our room had the most amazing view over the Nagasaki city and it became even more magical after night falls. We booked the standard Japanese styled rooms so had the futon beds but they were surprisingly comfortable. Bathroom was big and clean. Love our stay here.

Super view over Nagasaki from the room. A very big room, slightly out of date but a good money's worth. Breakfast buffet was sensational. Shuttle bus is appreciated, location is high up on the mountain.
