The style of this hotel. The way the staff remembers your requests and cares for you. The scent of freshly cut lilies in the lobby. Beautiful spacious room bearing the atmosphere of the golden times it was built in, breathtaking views from the window, which you can open and breathe. And yes, a lifetime amount of fresh Nagasaki biscuits I consumed at a buffet-style dinner. And a big steamy traditional bath at the 3rd floor. And the cozy shuttle-bus to the station down the hill. Highly recommend this hotel.

It was lovely! The room was spacious, the breakfast amazing, the bathroom a little old but clean and functional. The public baths were amazing and everything that was included was absolutely fantastic. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Reminder: it is on top of a hill above a cemetery, so be sure to check for night buses (Google might not show them at first but there are) or the hotel shuttle otherwise you'll have to climb all the way up among tombstones at 23.00

The hotel has various food for breakfast. Good.

The location is quite difficult for walking with luggage, the road to the hotel is quite sloping, not easy to find location.

The Rome is Traditional Japanese Hotel, give me a nice night in Nagasaki. The night view is quite impressive.

Big room. Excellent city view. Friendly and helpful staff.

No drinking water at hot spring bath.

Breakfast buffet. The view of Nagasaki from the hotel is spectacular. We were given hand sanitizer at check-in. The area around the hotel was nice, and 15min walk to Nagasaki station.

Onsen was rundown.

This is a traditional Japanese hotel. Great breakfasts and dinner. Huge onsen for a relaxing bath. Our room was large and very comfortable with a balcony overlooking Nagasaki. We took the hotel bus up and down the hill which was great. The building is aging but that did not affect our stay.

The building is old but that didn’t bother us. If you are after five star aesthetics it might bother you.

Property was run down but the room was large, breakfast was wonderful, staff were very helpful, shuttle bus to the train station ran hourly
