We recently stayed at Smile Hotel Nagoya Shinkansenguchi and had an overall pleasant experience. The hotel's location is excellent, just a short walk from Nagoya Station, which made getting around the city and to the airport via local train incredibly convenient. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, ensuring a smooth and hassle-free check-in process. They were always accommodating and attentive, promptly addressing our needs and answering any questions we had with a warm and professional demeanor. The room, while compact, was clean and well-equipped with essential amenities like free Wi-Fi, a comfortable bed, and a small workspace. The bathroom was small but functional, with good water pressure and basic toiletries provided. For a budget-friendly stay in a central location, Smile Hotel offers good value, especially for short visits or long stays.

They have everything you need inside your room, in a perfect location. I will definitely stay there again.

The cleaning is made every 4 days!!! this is too much. They said that I could have my room cleaned, but I would have to leave all my stuff in the reception at 11 am, and then return to the room at 3 pm. That is the low point of this place. In a very small room, cleaning is essential, at leat every 2 days.

Great for those who are just stopping by for a night. Hotel with city view. Facilities do not appear to be recent, but apart from that the room appeared to be clean. There are plenty of restaurants nearby that are open for late arrivals. The hotel has parking but I think it is very expensive considering there are cheaper ones nearby.

The hotel is a bit old but it is complete with toiletries, slippers and other things you need. The size is big enough and very comfortable to stay in. Very close to Nagoya station! There are also a lot of restaurants around.

They will only clean the room after 3 nights but they give fresh towels everyday.

This is my 2nd stay in the hotel and this time I stayed for 3 nights. The room is a bit bigger than most hotel chains and there's also a coffee table plus the usual amenities. The staff were nice and the omotenashi can be felt warmly when they greet you. I love that it's close to the usual anime stores I go to like Animate, K-Books, Lashinbang, and Surugaya. I hope to be able to book and stay here again when I come back to Nagoya.

The bed was comfortable, and the staff was helpful in leaving our luggage before checking in when we arrived early. There were many restaurants nearby, and it is a couple of minutes away from Nagoya station. Also, laundry was available with self-service amenities.

The faint smell of cigarette.

Very close to JR Nagoya Station and Meitetsu Nagoya for airport route. Also even just a few walks away from Animate, K-Books, Lashinbang & Animate Cafe buildings which I really like. Lots of restaurant, conbini, and even a supermarket nearby. The room I got is big enough and although the style and layout is dated, it still provided comfort and good night sleep.

It seems there are some molds in the bathroom...

Very convenient location near the train station, Mini-Stop, 7-11, Family Mart and a luggage storage facility. Hotel has a common microwave, laundry machines and vending machines.

Nothing. Everything was great.

1. Close to Nagoya station (exit 13, thru taiko dori side) I was a bit lost though since i went out from wrong exit. Look for Denny’s restaurant as reference on where to turn. 2. Friendly staff even if I do not speak Japanese, they we're able to explain how things work in English and some written instructions. 3. Clean room, they have a daily cleaning service.

Some furniture are outdated and with some slight stains especially in chairs.
