Tucked discreetly into a quiet Kitahama side street, this refined hotel offers a masterclass in understated luxury. While the rooms are compact, a nod to the city’s efficient use of space, every inch is meticulously considered, blending thoughtful functionality with serene, minimalist design. What it may lack in square footage, it more than compensates for in comfort, service, and elegance. The staff strike the perfect balance between attentiveness and discretion, making each return from the city feel like a welcome homecoming. In the height of summer, when the city hums under 34-degree heat, the hotel becomes a true sanctuary, cool, quiet, and deeply restorative. A seamless base for exploration by day and a soothing retreat by night, it’s the kind of place that quietly lingers in your memory long after you’ve left.

We stayed for six nights and coming back after spending a day in the busy suburbs to this quieter location was fantastic! Located about a 5-10min walk from Yodoyabashi Station, it is so central and easy to find. Yodoyabashi Station is also in the middle of the major stations and it is easy to get anywhere using the Midosuji Line in the Metro. Our room was very clean and modern, however very small. We honestly struggled finding a good spot for our luggage, but shuffled the chair and tables around to fit everything. Although the window was small, it still provided enough natural light and we had a really nice view over the city from the top floor. We could also open our window slightly, which was also nice. The bathroom was clean and actually a decent size, considering the size of the whole room. The onsen was fabulous after a big day of walking and we used it pretty much every night. It was rather clean, the water could’ve been cleaner in the onsen. HOWEVER, this may not reflect the hotel but rather guests using the onsen incorrectly (not washing soap off completely or not washing at all before hopping in). Please note that in the onsen there are clear instructions on how to correctly use. Both my boyfriend and I experienced some inconsiderate people being really loud. This is not the place to start making jokes and laughing, as this is extremely inappropriate and not appreciated. Please also remember this isn’t the place to have a loud conversation, we’ve all had a big day in the city. The amenities in the onsen were amazing! Plenty of lockers and a water station. A great area to blow dry hair (with top quality hair dryer!). The vanity was always clean and there were small cleaning brushes to use after you were finished. The staff were friendly, but didn’t offer a great deal of help when asked for it. Like questions about pre booking tickets. The breakfast buffet was a highlight!!! Do not miss it!!!
FOR FUTURE GUESTS- I would really like to highlight being considerate while using the onsen and washing machines. When using the onsen, please read the instructions and abide by the rules. Everyone is just trying to relax. Be mindful of others using the washing machines and keep a tab on what time your load finishes.

Lovely atmosphere and genuinely friendly staff. The room had everything we needed for a one-night stay and was spotlessly clean. The additional toiletries provided were a thoughtful touch and much appreciated. There were other facilities available, such as the public bath, which we didn’t get the chance to use as we spent our short time in Osaka exploring the city. Hopefully next time! Oh and breakfast, Oh My God, one of the best breakfasts we had in any hotel. I am so glad we ended up joining for breakfast (we had to pay and get the tokens from reception, but it was no big deal), quite affordable price for a breakfast too. What an amazing selection of fresh salads, drinks, some traditional Japanese breakfast as well as things to satisfy Europeans. Everything tasted very fresh. We also noticed that there were facitilites for doing your own laundry, which seemed like a great touch although we dind't use it.
The room was very small. My husband and I had to take turns to open our suitcases and repack things, and there simply was not enough space to open a big suitcase in general. However, it wasn't a big problem and we knew they had bigger rooms but for one night it was good enough. Next time we come back, we will definitely choose a bigger room.

The hotel is clean, looks good and in a central location (roughly 5-10 mins away from the metro). Plenty of dining options around as well. The room was on the smaller side as we struggled to open both our suitcases comfortably and the bathroom was also on the smaller side. This being said, the room was modern and clean. We were provided with daily water and daily cleaning. I also asked for an extra pillow and was given a choice between 2 different types, which was great. The staff also speaks good English, allowed for us to stash our bags before check-in and were of great help when sending over the luggages to the next hotel.

- Good location: Situated in a quiet street with easy access to public transportation, making it convenient to visit various attractions. - Excellent breakfast: A varied buffet offering both savory and sweet options with quality products. - Cleanliness: The rooms and bathrooms are clean. - Modern decoration: The room is well-decorated in a modern style.
- Bathroom materials: Use of plastic materials, including the walls, giving a prefabricated feel and a "cheap" appearance. - Low ceiling in bathroom: Contributes to a cramped feeling and a sense of lower quality. - Lack of bathroom storage: No storage solutions, despite space under the sink that could accommodate at least one shelf. Two travel toiletries kits for multiple days cannot be stored simultaneously.

Location was incredible, just minutes from the Yodoyabashi Station on the Midosuji Osaka subway line, making for quick and easy access to Namba/Shinsaibashi areas for food and shopping and Umeda/Osaka/JR and Shin-Osaka train stations. Staff were so warm and helpful. They made a few phone calls for me where Japanese langauge was needed and executed on the requests flawlessly and cheerfully. Housekeeping was readily available daily but not insistent so on many days of our 6-day stay, we declined it but the hotel hung a bag of fresh towels and water on our doorknob so we could access fresh supplies without disturbance. Room was not fancy but appointed in a clean and efficient way. The area is a financial/business area with office buildings so there were many restaurant options nearby of different price points and all patronized mostly by local office workers. A couple of the smaller restaurants did not seem to want foreign tourists but other places were welcoming.
My only complaint is that the bed was not very comfortable. Mattress was hard and spring coils could be felt somewhat. Plus the pillows were feather and smushed too much so that they became hard and were not fluffy at all.

The hotel was absolutely beautiful. The exterior and interior made our stay feel luxurious. We loved the set up of the rooms, which offered plenty of space (for Japan standards) and the lighting options were superb. The onsen made the stay even more enjoyable. As this hotel was half-way in our trip, we used the coin laundry and absolutely clutch. It had separate washer and dyer units (the last hotel had a combined single washer and dryer that just didn't dry it well enough) but excited to have fresh/dried set of clothes for the second half of our trip. I will absolutely look for Resol hotel properties in my next visit to Japan!
While we enjoyed the location (we prefer quieter neighborhoods), it is a bit of a walk (20 minute walk or <10 minute train) from Osaka downtown. This may be an issue for travelers who prefer proximity. However, not a big issue for us.

The hotel is ideally located, just a short walk from the station and convenient stores, making it a perfect choice for travelers. Situated in a peaceful area, it offers a relaxing atmosphere while remaining easily accessible to key destinations in Osaka. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, providing excellent service and valuable recommendations on places to visit and dine. The hotel offers a range of complimentary amenities, including bath powders and toothbrushes, ensuring a comfortable stay. The rooms were well-designed, offering the perfect balance of space—not too small, yet cozy. Having comfortable Sleep-wear freshly laid out on the bed every night. The beds were impeccably clean and soft, providing a restful night's sleep. The room featured multiple lighting options, allowing for a customizable ambiance; for instance, I could use a specific light in one area without disturbing my partner’s sleep. Housekeeping was thorough, with bathrooms consistently cleaned, rubbish emptied, and fresh towels provided daily. The air conditioning functioned perfectly, maintaining a comfortable temperature throughout our stay. The hotel's interior embraces a modern Japanese aesthetic, with a stylish lobby that evokes the feel of a high-end exhibition space. The ambiance was both calming and sophisticated. One of the standout features was the women-only onsen, which felt exclusive and well-maintained, with access granted via a special card provided at check-in. Overall, this hotel is an excellent choice for those looking for convenience, comfort, and a touch of luxury while exploring Osaka. Its central location makes it easy to access all major attractions, while the serene environment ensures a peaceful retreat after a busy day.
While my stay at the hotel was overall enjoyable, there was one aspects that could be improved, which could've made a huge difference. The room, although well-sized, had limited storage space, making it slightly inconvenient for organising luggage and personal belongings. We had to leave our luggage on the floor, which in turn made it very uncomfortable to walk around the room. Despite this minor inconvenience, my stay was still pleasant, and I would recommend the hotel to travelers looking for a peaceful and well-located accommodation in Osaka.

Lovely hotel that comes with an onsen for guests to enjoy - a great option if you haven't got time to visit public onsens as part of your trip. Rooms are a little on the small end so works fine if you plan on being out and about most of the time. Bathrooms are compact and a little underwhelming in design compared to the rest of the hotel/room but again, does the job if you're not in much. Travelled for our honeymoon and staff were very kind at check in, leaving us a box of choclates and swan towels upon arrival. Also gave us late checkout complimentary. Quiet neighbourhood due to it being a Financial Distract so nice for the peace and quiet in the evenings compared to busier areas of Osaka.
Bathroom is a bit compact/basic in design and decor - feels more like a 3* hotel in comparison to rest of hotel. Double bed is also rather compact for one couple to share. Onsen timings are a bit restrictive - shame it isn't available during the daytime.

What a beautiful hotel, this hotel was pure class. It really did feel like a small boutique hotel. The air conditioning worked well. My husband loved the shower pressure. Pillows were great and bed comfortable (a wee bit firmer than my one at home) but still okay. The location was fabulous, with plenty of great food options close by. The area of Dotonbori (great shopping and nightlife) was within an easy 30-minute walk. We easily did this walk back to the hotel at night after dinner and a look around we felt totally safe. The drip filter coffee sachets, what a great invention, I hadn't seen before we stayed in hotel in Japan. And they acutally make a nice cup of coffee.
Having to climb into the bath to shower, but I am short and baths are deep, so wouldn't be a problem for all. Only had green tea as an option, thankfully I bring my own earl grey tea when traveling, but would have been nice to have a couple of different options. Our last hotel had 3 tea options - green, earl grey and darjeeling
