Location is very nice, near the kitahama station with elevator access if coming from airport with luggage very nice exit, near also yodabayashi station which is near to umeda and namba. Near to good coffee shops. 30 mins walk to osaka castle and 30 mins walk to dotonbori. Near to different convenient stores - 711, lawson, family mart. Also near grocery stores. The bed is nice and comfortable. No need to buy water, you can drink the water from faucet. Water is filtered. They Coin laundry. Very quiet at night and you can definitely have a good sleep. Their shampoo, conditioner and body soaps are very nice. Too need to buy or bring it.

Rooms are small, fit for 2 persons only. Do not bring too much or big luggages as you will be challenge how you will fit those. We only have 2 medium luggages and it is enough for the space so we can move around. Lights used in the rooms were too yellow. Other than that, everything is fine for my liking. I enjoyed sleeping here.

Cleanliness, location and check in check out process.

Everything was perfect until the last day. We were late in checking out by 7-10 minutes and manager called the room and my husband picked up the call. Meanwhile I was already checking out at the check out machine. He was little rude on the call and when I thanked him after checking out, he was quite impolite with me as well. This was the only time in Japan when someone was rude or mean to us. I mean I know we were late in checking out by 7-10 minutes(including the wait time at lift as it was busy time of the day and there were only 3 lifts so it took couple of minutes in waiting for the lift)but still his behaviour did not feel right.

It's about a 20min walk away from the main area of Dotonburi, about 5 minutes from the station, plenty of local shops and restauraunts, the property itself is spotless, the rooms are lovely and up to date, it has an attached restauraunt which was very nice for breakfast. Staff were super polite and couldn't do enough for you, I had to dispose of a broken suitcase which isn't easy in Japan but the staff organised this for me with no issues.

Not much, the attached restauraunt closes extremly early (we tried getting in at 5pm one day to be told they were closed) but honestly that's about it.

The SFIK is centrally located at the Kitahama district close to the Metro (red) station Yodoyabashi and the InterCity rail Kitahama (for Nara and Kyoto). The staff members are super friendly, the room is super clean as well as the hallways and reception. There is a restaurant on the ground floor for breakfast (1000 yen for buffet). The room is quite small (as expected of Japanese hotels) but the beds are quite firm and comfortable. The wifi works great and the AC can be set to your desired temperature. Toiletries and pajamas are also provided. There are four washing machines with integrated dryer function (500 yen for an hour and 20 minutes of wash and dry) on the second floor. Ice cube dispensers and vending machines are also located in the same room as the laundry mat. Outside of the hotel are plenty of restaurants as well as mini-marts.

Not a dealbreaker but the TV screen showing the remaining time for the laundry machine does not work.

We absolutely loved our stay here! From the moment we arrived—close to midnight—the staff went above and beyond to make our check-in process quick and seamless. They were incredibly helpful, friendly, and welcoming, setting the tone for a great experience. Our group of four stayed in connecting rooms, which was fantastic because it gave us the convenience of two bathrooms. The rooms themselves were very clean, spacious, and comfortable. The location is quite convenient, with Kitahama Station nearby. However, for most of our trips, we needed to access Yodoyabashi Station, which is about a 10-minute walk. While this could be a challenge for those with mobility issues, we personally enjoyed the walk, so it wasn’t a problem for us. Overall, this was a great stay with excellent service and comfortable accommodations. Highly recommend it!

Staff are exceptionally helpful. I had a lost baggage and hotel help coordinate with airport staff to retrieve it. Helped to make several calls to the airport and gave me clear guidance. On another occasion, they loaned me an iron with iron board. Facilities amenities are fabulous. Rooms are clean. Bed is big n comfy. TV show the laundry status which is exceptionally marvelous, other hotel would had me going to check on the laundry status time to time. Laundry payment is easy to use. No detergent needed. They even had bubble bath powder. Luggage keeping service is a lifesaver. When some guest was hoarding the washing machine by not collecting it, the staff helped to handle it. The only minus is the pinokio Cafe staff esp an old lady like I owed her money. And the breakfast was 90% the same everyday.

The room was OK. It did it's job, which was to give us a place to stay overnight. It did nothing more and nothing less.

The bed was not the most comfortable bed I have slept in. The hotel was a little too far from the metro station (my bad, I picked it.) Charging a fee for checking in 45 minutes early is outrageous. Just say no, and I would've understood. Making it available for a fee conveys the message "yes, we could, but we won't and we use it as an opportunity to nickel-and-dime you" on a hotel room that was already struggling to deliver value at its price point.

The staff here were very friendly and accomodating helping us with the automated check-in. The rooms were a great size including the bathroom being seperate from the toilet. Everything was neat and tidy. We stayed here over a weekend so the area was lovely and quiet but we noticed during the week there is many more people around as it seems to be a business district. About a 10minute walk to the metro station which was very convenient for us and got us to all the places we wanted to visit. Also close to 7/11 and family marts.

The connecting room was big for our family that fit 4 adults. The space was slightly small but despite the small space we were able to fit 2 open luggages in each room. The deluxe twin room was by far the best room during our stay. It was super spacious which we loved. The toilet was separated from the whole bathroom as well which was great. We also loved the amenities bar. It provided everything we needed during our stay.

We didn’t like how the connecting 2 rooms were so small. Even though we were able to fit 2 open luggages per room it was hard to walk around. We also didn’t like how there was no good view.

I like their location. It was snug in a quiet place. 2 Train stations near by, family Mart and 7-11 near by as well. Hotel was nice and decent. Clean but could work a little more to make it cleaner. I did ask to change towels everyday and they did that so it made up for the hair incident. They also clean the room when you ask. Was very comfortable felt like home while in Japan. Staff we're always greeting us, very friendly. Amenities were great and located in the lobby. Lobby a bit small but comfortable.

I found the room was clean but they could be more thorough. Found a piece of hair on the bed our first night under the blanket. Not a big deal but feels like they didn't clean so well.
