We had the privilege of staying at Patina Osaka during their first month of opening. The staff, facilities and entire experience were exceptional. Well worth the upgrade to the castle view side.

Everything from the hotel side was fantastic, the only negative of our experience was booking through booking.com - they don't honour their booking promotions. Lesson learned, book direct with the hotel next time!

I really enjoyed my stay at Patina Osaka. The staff were warm and attentive, and everything from check-in to breakfast flowed smoothly. The interiors are calm, understated, and thoughtfully designed. As a music lover, I especially appreciated the vinyl-themed lounge and the dedicated listening room — a rare and special feature that adds a lot of character. A unique and relaxing place to stay.

A few small notes: the garbage bins are quite small, which can be a bit inconvenient during a longer stay. On the plus side, the room layout is well thought out — there’s a dedicated luggage area near the entrance and a surprisingly spacious bathroom for this price point in Japan. I also liked the daybed by the window. That said, it might be more practical to have a small desk or a regular-height table with a chair instead of the extra lounge chair and coffee table, especially for guests who need to use a laptop.

Understaffed. Check-in took 1.5 hrs. Restaurant closes at 8 PM and so we ended up having to go out after a long travel day - the staff is not empowered to make any accommodations - felt like everything had to be cleared with management. WhatsApp comms are hours delayed. Likewise checkout was longer than needed to be. Should not be 40 min to checkout. Luckily we had time before our flight. Staff still getting kinks out. Non-Japan staff overly familiar, Japan staff more formal. Kind of strange. Lots of awkward interactions, English is not uniformly spoken. Disconnect between service level and the class of the hotel. It’s still early since they just opened in may but it def made for a frustrating experience at times.

It was one of the best hotels i ever stayed. The staff were friendly and helpful. They made sure that our stay was enjoyable comfortable and memorable. It was my mother s birthday celebration and many staff wished her a happy birthday during our stay.. The services from the reception, the room service and restaurant were the best. We loved staying at the hotel. The view of osaka castle day and night was MUST see from the reception. The room was beautifully furbished and very clean. And it was facing the castle and waking up to the view was breathtaking. The location was excellent as well. Far enough from the city business but close enough to have access to public transport. Highly recommend this place if you are after luxury and comfort.

Exceptional recently renovated property with fantastic interior decor, perfect amenities (down to the smallest details), fantastic staff and unique views over Osaka castle. Comfortable and memorable in equal measure

Breakfast was fantastic but we also stopped at Inaki (in house Spanish resto) for a quick lunch on the day of our arrival. The food was not up to the high standards of the rest of the hotel

The views of Osaka castle are spectacular, the convenient location on Chuo line means you can go directly to expo without a line change. The breakfast is spectacular and the pillows …. The pillows. To die for.

It’s a tad pricey, but it is a premium location and hotel.

A little bit awkward changing lifts to get out of the building. Would have liked more time to explore the different restaurants, eateries and facilities. Restaurants were expensive.

Modern design style, especially the view of the palace directly from the reception area, is impressive. The spiral staircase is incredibly photogenic.

Stunning hotel with beautiful Japanese inspired architecture. Incredible view overlooking Osaka castle and gardens. Generously large comfortable beautiful rooms. Best hotel pool and fitness centre I've ever used. Buffet breakfast was delicious.
