The room while small (as everywhere in budget priced Japan) was clean and well laid out. Plenty of amenities in bathroom. Great location steps from Tenmabashi T22 subway station. Close to Osaka Castle. Very nice onsen public bath. Helpful front desk staff. We were quite happy with our choice

We expected the small room size. This room had better floor plan than the Shinjuku APA hotel we stayed at in Tokyo. Staff helpful and friendly with minor language difficulties. Unable to get hotel breakfast reservation as we were told it was full. Recommend great coffee shop next door. Really nothing not to like.

breakfast was very good, lots of choices of proteins, some usual bread choices and many delicious japanese choices. Staff was welcoming and kind, location was great with excellent restaurants, just steps away from two train lines, a reasonable walk from the Kyoto castle, a shopping mall (an experience in itself!). bed extremely comfortable.

Room is very small, the APA business model is excellent for someone traveling alone, or for people who will spend essentially no time in their room. Lying down in bed is pretty much the only choice with someone sitting at the desk as the other place to hang. Air conditioning is centrally controlled. We were there during season where AC was not turned on and sleeping at night was sweaty for us.

Right next to a metro station and walking distance to Osaka castle. Easy to get to most interesting parts of the city in 10-20 minutes. Everything was very clean, employees spoke very decent english and were also very helpful when we had small medical emergency during the weekend. Rooms are on the smaller side, but there is so much to see in Osaka you wont use them that much anyway.

Breakfast will get quite repetitive if you are staying longer. If your stays is more than 3 days I would recommend to just go to "konbini" or some local establishments and try different things. Very minor thing though.

If it's your first time in Osaka, or Japan, you must stay here. It is really good value for money and is in a perfect location for the Osaka metro lines (Temmabashi). Osaka Castle is also round the back of the hotel and thee are plenty of places to eat nearby. Of course there is a Family Mart right outside. The rooms are typically sized for Japan but are comfortable. I also travelled for work and was able to work in the rooms with fast wifi and amenities nearby

For some reason my refrigerator was automatically set onto freezing temperatures, so anything I put in froze regardless of me adjusting the temperatures. But could just have been that room.

1. It was in a good location, and the Metro was just a few minutes walk away. 2. There was a FamilyMart nearby - really helpful for getting food. 3. The room was a decent size, and had a better layout than the APA Hotel I stayed in in Tokyo. I didn't have to keep putting my luggage under the bed so as to be able to walk around in the room. 4. It had an onsen (although an artificial one), and I went there every evening after coming back to the hotel. 5. There was a microwave oven and an ice dispenser on the 2nd floor. 6. I would stay there again if I'm ever in Osaka again.

There was nothing I didn't like. It was the best hotel I stayed in throughout my month long stay in Japan.

Honestly everything was great. The location is solid - not the most exciting neighborhood, but 1 minute walk to a subway station, and Osaka castle is very close. The rooms are small, but well laid out so there’s lots of space under the bed for suitcases. The staff is great and they drop off new towels each day if you’d like them. Nice to have self-service laundry and there’s a convenience store right outside

Checkout is early - 10 am. Onsen doesn’t allow tattoos. Nothing significant. The dryers don’t work great.

Despite hotel room being small, it had many smart storage solutions such as lifted bed with space under to store your luggages. Many hangers & hooks in the bathroom & similar. Breakfast was supplied with many Japanese dishes. Super efficient check out

Our window was to the street and some nights it got rather noisy. Except of that, we had no issues with any noises coming from the neighbouring rooms or the hallway, Most of the mornings we had to line up for the breakfast which was something very unusual for us.

Liked breakfast but same every morning. Walked to Castle with difficulty. Weather wasn't best. No English TV No handles to get out of bath so couldn't use it. No education for things in bedroom. No cold water for kettle. View Open window instead of AC. Torch available, Park close by. Train nearby Japanese box of entrees to start at breakfast

Breakfast same every day. Castle walkable and park. Level 13! Asked for low level. English to ask staff. Best to have English notice of places to see and directions in English. Black is manly. No handles for getting out of bath so couldnt use it. No English TV. Directions to top sights to see not given Staff didn't say about room facilities like torch. No cold water for kettle.

Very close to a FamilyMart and Temmabashi Station exit 3 on the purple Tanimichi Line. It has laundry, but only two washers and two dryers. They’re coin operated. The front desk was helpful in getting me a taxi. Close to Osaka hotel, and you can take the Tanimichi line to the Sennei? line to get close to Dotonbori.

When I arrived Friday night they suggested I pay in USD because it was a better rate. Better for them, yes. That was frustrating because I’d been traveling for like 25 hours and wasn’t thinking clearly.

We loved staying in APA Hotel! The location was perfect, 2 min walk from the metro station and 5 min walk from the Osaka Castle. The staff was friendly and helpful! The hotel is very clean and i loved the smell of clean laundry in the halls :) APA is also very generous with amenities, we were getting new towels, shower caps, yukatas, toothbrushes etc. every day. You can also use hotel umbrellas if its rainy outside. Would definitely recommend this place!

Even though the room was great it was still a bit small for two people so if you are travelling together you need to be ready for limited space. Also the trash bins were small as well, they get filled up very quickly. But as far as I know you can collect extra trash and place it outside of the room for it to be taken away.
