The hotel was modern, clean, and the room was spacious with a large bed, we did opt for an upgrade, which was well worth it. Breakfast was included and had a great variety: hot dishes, traditional Japanese options, waffles, pancakes, a full fry-up, fresh fruit, and a selection of breads, croissants, and pastries. It was definitely a highlight and well worth including.

The hotel also had a beautiful pool, which we used several times, especially since the weather was quite hot during our stay. The only thing I felt was missing was a sauna or wellness area, which would’ve been a nice addition. Location-wise, it’s a little further out from the hustle and bustle of central Osaka, but that can be a positive if you’re after a quieter stay. It’s still conveniently close to a train station and local shops, so getting around was easy.

We stayed for 3 night during April. The location was fantastic, and the view from our room overlooking the river was magnificent. Whether it was day or night, the view of the people, cars, bikes and trains below, the river and the boats, the buildings across the sky line, will keep you entertained for a while. Waking up in the morning and sitting down infront of the large glass window with a cup of coffee in hand, was one of the most relaxing ways the start your day. It's also 5min walk from the train station, the shops and eateries (including Family Mart and 7eleven), so great for tourists. The room was spacious and comfortable. We are a family of three with a 9yo, and managed to squeeze in to a large double bed (king size I think), as they didn't provide additional beds for kids. It was clean and tidy. We loved the pyiamas they provided. Loved the indoor swimming pool. Had it all to our selves almost every time. No life guard on duty, but had all the usual amenities like towels, loungers and a very nice changing room with lockers. Warm cookies presented on arrival was a nice welcoming touch. Staff were friendly and helpful. We had a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

Everything was great

Very new hotel with massive rooms and a great restaurant and bar. Staff were without exception friendly and courteous with excellent English. Views were great from all areas of the hotel.

It is a decent 5 min walk to the nearest tube and then you generally have to change tube line to get to the more popular spots such as Dotonbori. Immediate surrounding area (other than the castle grounds) is not very pretty - though there are some great local bars and restaurants.

Breakfast is very good with a wide range of different foods available. Staff are very friendly and helpful and more than willing to help in any way they can. The hotels website says they are only 5 minutes walk from Osaka castle but it is more than 15 minutes. If I was to go to Osaka again, I would choose a more central hotel. If like me, you wish to use Osaka as a base to explore Kyoto and Nara, then book a hotel near the Shinkansen station.

Spacious room, the view, friendly staff

The idea of food and drinks in the Executive lounge was great. The guests were terrible. Everyone treated it like a free meal and was there to rush in and get as much food as possible as quickly as possible. I do not know what management could do to handle that but it was not a pleasant experience. If eat in the restaurant and do not use the inclusive food bar (which is as crazy as the lounge was), the service is minimal. I guess everyone is so busy with the masses at the bar.

The view alone is worth a visit. Great Japanese whisky tasting at the bar as well as a fantastic burger. The bar also found our friends passport which she thought was lost forever. Right next to the castle which you can see from the room as well as the bar. All in all great stay and a 1h walk from Dotonbori which we thought was a great walk.

The bar closes too early.

Double Tree by Hilton was a great base for staying in Osaka. The view of Osaka Castle was amazing and so peaceful. You could walk in the Castle grounds across the road from the Hotel. Rooms were a great size and the beds were so comfortable. Staff were very friendly and obliging. Short taxi or train ride to Dotombori and the main centre of the town. Would stay here again.

The staff were exceptionally kind and helpful after our flight from Australia. They went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and knew where we were going. The courtesy umbrellas saved us as we didn’t bring our own and it was windy and raining.

It was a little bit of a walk to the station or bus stop, and the weather made this tough. But everything else was top notch.

Very nice hotel. The breakfast was good compared to other hotels we stayed in Japan. Very nice and warm staff, and cleaning quality was good.

A bit far from the center of Osaka (Namba and Dotonbori). The nearest train station in 10 minutes walk - which can be sometimes a bit tiring after long day trips.

Location is excellent, with a less than 10 minute walk to the subway. Beautiful views of Osaka castle if you get the room on that side. Other side also has nice views of the city and the river. Found the location to be excellent for being so close to the castle and Dotonbori was hardly a 10 minutes taxi ride. Staff was very courteous and professional. Decent choices in the breakfast.
