Hotel is located in fairly quiet area, but close to subway station with Shin-Osaka station being 1 stop away - it makes for a good base if you want to go on a day trip to Kyoto for example. There is also a restaurant across the street that is open 24/7. Despite being a fairly small room, it has excellent floor plan. You get a desk, a wardrobe and still have enough space for a large suitcase. Same goes for bathroom - fairly small but didn't feel cramped. There's both air-conditioning and air humidifier.

You can't open the window, so any ventilation is done through AC.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. Very near the train station, so very convenient for travelling using the train system, especially if travelling to Kyoto. Lots of nearby convenient marts. Excellent towel services (we put up a "do not disturb" sign and we received a bag of towels every day outside the room). Complimentary amenities (shaver, cotton bud etc, no lotion though) available at the lobby counter.

You can hear the noise when trains passed by and when some of the windows vibrate - ear plugs help. Room is small and walkway between beds and table only allows one person at a time. Toilet and bathroom is together and is small, so not as convenient. No microwave in the room, but there is one in the lobby.

It was Centrally located and close to Metro and Convinent stores which was ideal to move around. Staff was friendly and polite. Room was compact but was good size for two people to live comfortably . Overall its good hotel for short stay and good value for money.

Staff need to be more clear in their communication even with translation they were unable to express themselves well , they should have atleast 1 person with clear english communication to help. Room need deep cleaning as we found someone sock under bed, not sure how long it was there. They just need some tweaking in terms of cleanliness and communication and they will be Excellent hotel ,specially being Best Western property expected it to be top notch in these things.

Big space! Lots of space in comparison to other places we’ve seen. The staff are also VERY accommodating! We had a last minute change in our itinerary and had to extend for one night and they were very kind to point out all the options available for us. Even though some staff struggle with English, they still do their best to bridge the language difference.

There’s not a lot to dislike here. If I have to say anything maybe it’s the centralized heating. It’s a bit too warm for our preference but it’s easily solvable without having to ask the staff.

Breakfast was good and that we didn’t have to go hunting for food. Late checkout offered was fabulous..you just pay a small fee for each extra hour. Great system. Lovely staff. Gave us umbrellas to go into town. And answered all questions in English which was very helpful. Let us leave our luggage early. Very helpful!

It’s an area with all hotels so you have to catch a train to get to anything and often up to half hour to get to Botanical gardens etc. so a bit out of the way for sight seeing. But if you were not as tired as us this wouldn’t worry you too much.

Location wise, the hotel was a few minutes away from the Nishinakajima station and is situated at the quiet part of Osaka. For those who would like to stay at a more relaxing part of Osaka and experience Japan's highly efficient train system, this is a great choice. The hotel's accessible location allowed us to get to other places of Japan like Hiroshima and Kyoto with it just being a stop away from the Shin-Osaka station for the Shinkansen rides. Space wise, it had enough space for three luggages - one each for me and my parents. The bathroom was also spacious and allowed comfortable room to move. The room offered two beds plus one sofa bed -perfect and comfortable for three persons in the booking. It also provided adequate amenities over our stay. The hotel staff have consistently offered kind assistance. They immediately showed up when we asked about one concern in our room and they made everything very seamless for our Osaka booking. They also responded to other queries promptly. Cost for the entire stay (three days and two nights) was considerably affordable for the above mentioned features/amenities. Hence, we definitely got our money's worth during our stay.

Room wasn’t super big, but it was comfortable and had all necessary amenities. Also, the staff was very kind and responded to all our requests, the whole experience was good. I strongly recommend this place to everyone who wants to save money and not pay for overpriced hotels in Dotonbori area. This hotel is 15 mins away from Dotonbori and Umeda by metro. So it was great for us

Couldn’t find any cons

The room is big compare to other hotel in Japan. I stay for 4 nights and they clean the room everyday even on the day when I forget to put sign for clean the room. Then they change the towel and pyjamas everyday too.

I hope the JR Shin Osaka station is nearer because the nearest station is the metro. We arrive early, so we store our luggage at the counter, but unfortunately the staff though that I will check in alone and ask the housekeeping to only put one pyjamas. I hope she can check the booking and not just asuming. Luckly the staff during the night shift help sent one more pyjamas.

I felt really looked after; they gave me a room overlooking the city as per my request, let me check in a little bit early and the place was exceptional value for money. I didn't even realise I was in such a great hub of Osaka until I went exploring. After a week in hostels I wish I'd stayed there for my entire Osaka stay. Next time I come back to Osaka I am definitely coming back here!

Honestly there isn't anything to not like about this place.

This was a really nice hotel, the room was comfortable, light, and well equipped. I think the listing didn't indicate that there was a kettle and fridge in the room, and laundry facilities on two floors, so those were pleasant surprises. Check in and check out were easy. It was a 15 minute walk from Shin Osaka station, which is fine.

It would be great to have change machines in the laundry rooms. We used the vending machine in the lobby to get change instead.
