We've stayed at APA Hotels before, and always had a great experience. Our room was clean, and the check in process was quick & easy. The Staff were extremely helpful not only when we stayed, but after leaving Osaka also. I had left a Nintendo Switch at the hotel, and didn't realise until i got back to Tokyo. The staff at APA Hotel Shin Osaka Ekiminami were so helpful in getting it sent to me in Tokyo when i called to look for it, and it arrived the next morning. I'm very appreciative for the help.

Comfortable beds, and the hotel provided almost everything you could need. Toothpaste, slippers, linens, etc. The area was very quiet and conveniently located near convenience stores, plus it was a very local area so all of the surrounding restaurants were very authentic. It's about ten minutes away from Shin-Osaka Station, so we were able to use it as home base for day trips on the Shinkansen, as well as to hop on the red M line to go into Kita Ward and visit Dotonbori.

No under bed storage, as we've seen in Tokyo APAs. No onsen on site, either. Rooms are small (though that is to be expected of Japanese hotels).

Close to Shin-Osaka station so it was easy to get around the city. The area is not very touristy, but if you're looking for an authentic experience as we were, it is amazing. Plenty of local restaurants to try surrounding the hotel, and a stone's throw away from a couple convenience stores. As with all APA Hotels the room had absolutely everything you need and was restocked daily. Staff were helpful and attentive and made our stay very simple.

No storage under the bed as we had at a Tokyo APA hotel, so we felt the small size of the room much more acutely. No onsen or public bath, unlike the Tokyo APA.

The location is excellent, and the reception staff are very friendly and welcoming.

The price is a bit too expensive for what is offered, One thing I found inconvenient was the requirement to provide an overly detailed address within the country. This policy seems to apply across all branches in the chain. I believe stating the country of origin should be sufficient. Without a detailed address, they wouldn’t issue the key card.

This APA hotel is very good. Located very close to shin-Osaka station, very comfortable if you are traveling around Japan. Easy for day trips to Kyoto and other places. The area is quiet ( you don't hear the trains), not too much going on around. The staff was polite and helpful. Some speak English, some not. Breakfast was tasty, Japanese style, not too much choice, but enough for me. Some people wrote in the review that it's impossible to control the A/C in the room. Well in my room it was possible - you have a/C display on the bed. The bed is super comfy , I slept well.

I booked a smoking room, and it was a mistake. The smell is terrible. And no matter how long you open the window, the smell ain't disappearing. The staff gave me device to clean the air, it helped a bit. If you are able not to smoke, better choose a non-smoking room. There is no smoking area at the hotel.

The staff were very friendly and helped me get my luggage sent to my next hotel. The hotel room small but perfect for just me. The air con and the comfort of the bed were amazing after a day of walking. The location is super close to the station, so getting into the heart of Osaka, or other locations, is easy

As I didn't know Osake before booking, I'd have liked to be a bit more central, but this is a very minor complaint.

Typical room at APA chain, small but comfort, close to subway station Shin Osaka exit 7, so easy to get there just in few minutes. Quite many 7/11 around the hotel, no problem to get some groceries late at night.

Some small technical problems in my room, the flush toilet is stuck, the water keeps running and the cover of the aircon at the entrance, not a big deal but better to be fixed!

Lacation was good. Staff were l9vely and very helpful. Room was tiny and space to open your suitcase. AC was great.

Very small room. Very small bath... they should get rid of the baths and put in decent spacious showers. Having a bath as a selling point fails if you can't use the bath.

The location is very convenient. We wanted somewhere close to the Shinkansen because we did several day trips to other cities. Also, the water pressure in the shower is excellent.

The double bed is set up so that if you have two people in the room, one person has to climb over the other to get out of bed. Not a big deal to us but maybe to some people.

I have stayed at APA hotels many times; this one in particular. I like the convenient location, away from the busy city centre, but close to trains, while the compact but comfortable rooms are always clean and well-appointed. The staff are efficient, friendly and helpful.
