Located in the heart of Sapporo. It was very easy to walk from the hotel to Sapporo station, Tanuki Koji, Odori park, and many other interesting areas in Sapporo. Staff was friendly and helpful, treated our belongings with great care. There is an online status page for crowdedness in male and female hot springs which was handy.

Rug in our room had some stains, and the curtains had some remnants of brownish liquid. Shower drain had sewage smell. Room felt a bit small for the price -- my experience at a different onsen hotel chain in Kyoto was much better at the same price.

We like the overall vibes of the hotel. It is clean and smells great. The toiletries provided were of high quality and the onsen was great. We enjoyed the complimentary ice cream after the onsen which was a nice touch.

The crew that checked us in was a bit standoffish. We noticed that they treat different guests differently. Towards some guests, they were extremely helpful, coming out from behind the counter to help them with the luggage and offer them umbrella when it was raining. But we did not receive help with our luggage nor were we offered umbrellas. We had to ask them for umbrellas and we were directed to help ourselves. Service standards were different from what we observed. Having said that, the crew that checked us out was very friendly and polite.

The Onsen ryokan hotel was very attractive - a modern take on a traditional ryokan. We had a lovely room (we paid for a bigger one with a seating area which we thought was worth the extra cost). The real highlight, however, was the beautiful onsen facility - which we used on a daily basis. The location is fairly convenient - very close to the Odori park and a few low-key restaurants within walking distance, and a 15 minute walk to the train station.

We didn't go to the restaurant as it seemed very upmarket. A less fancy onsite café would have been handy.

The onsen was much needed after long days walking and exploring Sapporo. There are multiple onsen baths for women, both indoor and outdoor, and is very well maintained and clean. The hotel itself is very beautiful and feels luxurious when walking into the lobby.

A bit out of the way from the main city - about 10 min walk to the train station/underground pathways so be prepared for a cold walk during the winter. The room is also a bit smaller than expected. We struggled to lay both of our large suitcases out. I suppose the size is still slightly larger than your standard Japanese hotel room.

Not that I had low expectations, but this property is amazing. Beautiful rooms that are decent in size for Japan. Very, very stylish from the moment you walk through the first outer foyer. Every detail is so beautiful and stylishly done at check-in, and that extends to your room. The room had a really nice sitting area by the window and more than enough room to not feel cramped. Even though the rooms and decor exceeded my expectations, the real star of this hotel is the onsen. Indoor and outdoor, large, (male and female separate of course) , sauna, steam, cold plunge, etc. It's really world class. I simply love this property.

I do enjoy the great location of the hotel where you can basically walk to all essential attractions in the city, and the hot tub is very nice with great facility and cleanness. I also like the decoration of the hotel, typical nice Japanese style designing.

The breakfast was fully booked and it was kinda too early, especially for people spending time for vacation in Sapporo. I think they can somehow prolong their services time so that more ppl can enjoy the breakfast. The staff can be more flexible and friendly to the special request like 1 hour late checkout or extended parking allowance. TBH 11am is kinda too aggressive timing considering the location of the hotel and many customers are considering have a city walk before driving away. This is the only hotel that rejected all our requests.

The hotel is beautiful, very nice, clean and modern. We love the decoration, including the aroma and fresh flowers. The room was spacious with a high ceiling. The pajama, too, was very cute, and housekeeping was done daily. The hotel staff was very professional and helpful although not fluent in English, they used a translator that made everything easy. They organized the takyubin for us and also let us enter the room bit before checkin time, which was very much appreciated after a long journey.

The hotel has a wonderful ryokan feel to it which makes it such a special stay. The room was surprisingly spacious considering it is a hotel in a major city in Japan. The breakfast was delicious. The onsen was a wonderful feature in the hotel to experience the Japanese culture.

The location of the hotel is a little far from everything. It can be a bit of a pain to walk to and from the hotel from the main shopping stripe in Sapporo or the JR station. But there were always taxis available outside the hotel so it's not hard to get to places.

We stayed here on our way to an onsen for our honeymoon and found this to be an absolutely unbelievable and unique hotel. It’s beautiful, the onsen is amazing, and if you’re coming to Sapporo it’s really the best choice of where to stay!

Breakfast is reserved. We didn’t get to eat breakfast because despite telling them we wanted to eat breakfast, there was some confusion and a language barrier and they didn’t actually put our names down. We wish we could’ve tried the food
