I chose this hotel based on location, as it was central to where I wanted to travel. The hotel is just a few steps away from the Sengakuji station exit, so it was very convenient. Although checkout is at an early 10am, they do have free baggage storage available. The room was clean, with fresh towel and toiletries provided daily in bags hung by the door. Size of the room was great for single traveler. Staff spoke English and were helpful and welcoming.

Great location next to underground on Maine line from HANEADA airport. 5 min walk to over ground and close to a bullet train stop.

Room are compact, but ideal for a few days if you’re out and about.

I love the location of this hotel. It is easy to access quickly from the airport. It is directly over the train station, making walking to and from the hotel fast. The train lines let me transfer to different points in the city easily. It was not expensive to taxi/Uber back to the hotel after the trains stopped running. The room was quite, clean, and comfortable with a great view of the city. I was able to enjoy the onsen and rooftop view patio. I went to visit Sengakuji because it was right around the corner. That is a really nice, must-see site.

The room was much smaller and didn't utilize the space like I'm used to in APA rooms. I expected more hooks on the walls. There was no space under the bed, and I was unable to put my suitcases out of the way.

The location of the hotel is very good, right in the middle of the city. Everywhere, almost everywhere is 20 minutes away. There is a train station just a few meters away from the hotel, and Shinkansen is a little further. The hotel rooms are not big but they are just the right size for your needs. But why would you come to Tokyo and stay in a hotel room? The sanitation is great, there are washing machines and dryers. When there is a need, the staff comes immediately, within seconds. No service is interrupted. When you check out of the hotel, the staff keeps your bags for you until your flight. Each room has its own wi-fi. There is a TV, the room heating and cooling are great. The bathroom is clean and they provide everything you need. This is my second stay, if I come to Japan again, I will definitely choose APA Hotel.

This might seem like an odd answer, but this hotel will in the near future be an excellent prime location. There is a new development called Takanawa Gateway that recently opened which includes a modern new section for Tokyo... offices, restaurants, retail, and a new train stop on the JR YAMANOTE loop line around Tokyo. It is lots of construction now, but probably within the year this area is going to be a prime hotspot when all the supporting businesses open. As it is, it is a shiny new and beautiful elevated "city" which was having a mini food truck and farmers market of some kind, and super convenient access to the rest of Tokyo because of the train access. The hotel itself is good, standard APA. Comfortable, clean, and good value for money. Just be prepared for the closet-like size of the well appointed rooms and you will not be disappointed. Breakfast buffet was great, especially if you want to try Japanese fare. The chefs put out like 20 classic choices. Of course Western breakfast is also available.

Only 2 washers and 2 driers for the coin laundromat, which is often obstructed by people that leave their stuff in the machines. Washing clothes could take hours. Not really a complaint, but, there is housekeeping every third day. That is ok. It is environmentally friendly, saves the hotel money, and makes good sense. Pretty much standard nowadays. But APA drops off a care package EVERY day on your room door handle with new towels, new yukatas (robes), new toiletries, etc. We accumulated stacks of unrequested towels and yukatas in our room, and moreover, it alerted anyone in the hallway which rooms had registered guests who were not in their room probably all day. Poor security. Just saying.

A standard small room. Very clean, AC worked well, and nothing surprising! The hotel hallways were a bit humid when I got there (there had been a big rainfall when we arrived). The check in process was fairly modern and the staff were very kind. They had a smallish lobby with a ton of dropped/shipped bags, but they had a very cool method for dropping off bags in case you arrive early.

The building is HUGE and sometimes you'd have to wait a while to get on the hotel elevator. It's a popular location so plan on spending your time with other tourists when checking in. There happened to be construction near the hotel which made getting to the hotel a little confusing but manageable.

Room was pretty good for a "business" hotel in Tokyo; bigger that I expected. Location is really good, outside the busy areas but still easy to reach by metro and train. Cheap parking onsite was a big plus, as overnight parking in Tokyo can be really expensive.

Breakfast area is a bit small in busy times. Our room was in floor 19 which meant we had to wait for a lift every once in a while for quite some time. But these were not real problems for us, all in all this is a great hotel!

The hotel is close by the Yamanote loop line, so it's easy to get around. The breakfast is diverse and reasonably priced. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Free VOD, even some adult content.

Some of the cooking staff forgot to wear gloves and a mask while preparing breakfast or refilling the rolls basket. There's no change machine near the washing machines, so you'll need to save your ¥100 coins if you want to do laundry, or buy lots of drinks from the vending machine. The rooms are clean, but very tiny. Broom closet would fit the description, so if you're claustrophobic, you should go elsewhere. Lumpy mattress: I'm lucky I can sleep almost anywhere. My wife isn't so lucky. There was some nationalist lecture with the APA logo on it, which means APA endorsed it. Reason for me to not go there again, as I don't want to support nationalism.

The location is really convenient, easily accessible from Haneda Airport via Keikyu line, one way was about ¥350. It’s also connected to Yamatone line which is easy for me to visit the attractions. The exit of the Sengakuji station and Takanawa station are straight forward, you won’t get lost like you would in other main stations. The area is quiet, with mostly apartments and office buildings around, not many shops which is what I prefer. However there are a few restaurants around, and a convenient store, getting food late night is not an issue at all. The free onsen is the best thing about the hotel, especially after a big walk during the day. The room is clean and small, Japanese standard, which is fine. There are standard amenities, fresh linens are provided everyday. The bed is comfy. I didn’t have breakfast, so there’s not much I can say about it. If you want somewhere buzzing like Shinjuku or Shibuya, this is not the place for you. The hotel TV does provide a lot of useful information. No issues with Wifi.

It is a busy hotel, which means the elevators can get very busy during peak hours. You just need to time yourself well.

Very conveniently located right next to the train station. It easily connects to the main areas in Tokyo. Although the room was quite small for our luggages, it was well-equipped with all the amenities we needed. The toilet was spacious and well-stocked too. The bed was very comfortable. The highlight of our stay was getting to soak in the rooftop onsen every night. There is a screen on the tv that helps us to monitor the crowd level at the onsen for both genders so that was really helpful for us to decide what time we should go. The onsen itself was clean, well-maintained and very enjoyable with all the amenities you’d need. The staff was very helpful too and assisted us when we needed a luggage scale to weigh our bags as well as luggage storage post-check out.

This didn’t apply to us because we had already returned our rental car when we checked in, but parking onsite is not free for guests and the parking fees per day are pretty exorbitant. For those intending to drive, this may cause you to reconsider booking this hotel. But if you’re not driving, would highly recommend
