1. location: shinjuku and shinjuku sanchome stations and bus expressway station and food and shopping 2 excellent staff that spoke fluent english 3. umbrellas for rainy days 4. clean room, bathroom, linen and superb housekeeping job every day. 4. lawson shop downstairs

1. room had only one pillow per person. all good hotels provide two pillows per person as many people use two pillows. on request i did get an extra pillow but there SHOULD be two pillows per person by default. 2. people returning late at night walking in the hallways talking loudly can wake up sleeping guests - you should put up signs in elevators and hallways reminding people to speak softly as guests may be sleeping in their rooms. 3. breakfast could be cheaper [it was the reason we chose to eat breakfast at excelsior cafe every day instead of at the hotel]

Hotel was close to the heart of Shinjuku shopping and train stations. Had 2 convenient stores right down stairs and is close to the Golden Gai and had lots of restaurants nearby

The escalators and lifts were out of order when we arrived and there was no assistance to help us with the luggage. Had to climb 2 flights of escalators with the luggage. Front desk staff was probably new and took longer (20 mins) than usual for the check in registration. We will also given wrong information about our breakfast option

This place is all about the location. It overlooks Golden Gai so if you want nightlife options with plenty of pubs and restaurants nearby, it's ideal. Its easy walking distance to trains ... M8 Shinjuku and M9 Shinjuku Sanchome ... with close by underground access to both to keep you mostly out of the rain. The rooms are a reasonable Tokyo size (small but everything fits), bed is comfortable and shower/bath is good. Staff friendly and helpful. There is free coffee in the foyer with a quality push button espresso machine and the ground floor there is a Family Mart if you want to eat in for, say, a light breakfast. There is a restaurant at foyer level but I didn't try it. This is not a place full of extra facilities like gyms, pools, top floor bars, etc. You'll pay a lot more for those places. But what it does it does well. Recommended.

Excellent breakfast..We enjoyed it every morning during one week. And we would love to book this room again only for the breakfast! Very convenient location, in the middle of Shinjuku. Welcoming and friendly staff.8

Beds are by far much too small. We booked a "superior" room but the beds were still too thin...not pleasant at all. Shinjuku and Golden Gai are very noisy, living quarters of Tokyo. So, one's has to get use to the noise, the broken bottles in the streets the day afternoon. Not everybody could stand that. So, you have to be mentally prepared before booking a room in Shinjuku.

Amazing location! In the heart of Shinjuku but in a more quiet and upscale area, near Takashimaya and iSetan. The receptionist was very kind to let us have early check-in 😊

The downstairs elevator near the konbini was quite scary at night, lots of nightlife bouncers standby in the way 😅 Better to not travel alone, especially for women. Room was quite old, the bathroom needed more thorough cleaning.

Room was decent-sized for Tokyo, WiFi works well, Lawson downstairs and Golden Gai next door. Good views! To clarify, it’s near to Shinjuku-Sanchome metro station (8mins walk). It’s much further to the Shinjuku station (15mins walk). Bathroom was spacious, with wonderful water temperature and pressure. Bed and pillows were fine. Wonderful staff!

Room was not cool enough, not sure if the aircon was centralized. Staff from the reception, Yunus, was super helpful and tried helping by bringing us a cooler but eventually we switched rooms. To contact the reception, need to use a central telephone located at the loft lobby.

Location was really central to all the tourist shopping area. The convenience store at the ground level was most helpful. I love the free coffee station at the lobby located at the 3rd level of the building. Nearby shops that my family liked - Sushiro, taiyaki, McDonald’s, Daiso, Can-do, GU, Uniqlo, Taito station, Egg-On, many pharmacies, Don Quijote, Coco curry house and many more. There’s a odour removal spray in the room for your use. Amenities station located beside the reception provides shavers, shower caps and such. Water pressure is good for us located on the 5th floor.

The hotel was located where there are a lot of adult entertainment so it can get a little dodgy nearer to the evening and even in the wee morning. Promoters to these places will be all over the street but they’ll ignore you if they see you with a young family. The rooms are really small, even a deluxe double room. There’s hardly any space to open up your luggage fully so we opened it halfway, leaning against the wall. There isn’t an ironing board and iron in the room but you can request for it. Just a little hassle. Soundproofing is not fantastic as we can hear conversations when walking past the rooms. Furniture and carpeting in the rooms are really aged. Time for a change. The mini fridge in the room is really too small. There are NO connecting rooms in the entire hotel.

Staff was above and beyond. We had a false fire alarm and everyone evacuated. And they handle it well. One of the staff even ran up 12 floor (by stairs) to give me the keys. Didn't catch his name, but he's a non Japanese staff that speaks Japanese and fluently in English. Location is above the Red Light District, the street can get a little loud, but the windows is very air tight, and can be dark so we slept like a baby. Right below us is the Lawson and many restaurants. Just keep in mind that it is in the red light district.

The shower head didn't stay fixed and only stay at one angle. Easy fix though

We absolutely loved how conveniently this hotel is located in the most happening district - Shinjuku. It's proximity to wide range of shops enabled us to make last-min purchases without hassle. The surroundings were always buzzing with life and perfect for families to get into the vibe. Buffet breakfast was delicious and worth the price. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it. Staff are very helpful and very kind.

The only small hiccup we had was that the staff provided towels only for 2 when we were three. Some days we specifically informed at the reception to provide towels for a family of 3 and other days we forgot.

Breakfast was fine and had the usual sort of things - scrambled eggs, bacon, miso soup, freshly baked croissants were great, French toast, bread, cereal, fruit, fried rice, toasted sandwich maker. There is a coffee machine in the lobby that you can use at any time. Staff were friendly and the location was great, right in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Shinjuku. Room didn’t feel too small, bed was comfortable and there was a bath for those who want it, plus nice body wash.
