Very good hotel - the room was a great size for a solo traveller, quite large by Tokyo standards as I was able to freely set down and open my large suitcase and still walk around. I enjoyed the free ramen service and night, and the communal bath facilities were amazing! A 7/11 and a few train stations were nearby, which made it convenient. The staff were also really kind and accommodating, with most of them being able to speak very good English!

I wish that the breakfast service time was extended until 10am or later, rather than finishing at 9:15am. I would have enjoyed being able to sleep in a bit longer instead of waking up early just to eat. The food selection was also quite limited and did not change much from day to day. Personally, I would not purchase the additional breakfast meal service again for these reasons. As others have mentioned, this property uses a key for the room that needs to be returned to reception each time you go out. I personally did not find this to be too much of a hassle, but some might feel like this restricts their freedom a little bit.

The room exudes cleanliness, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Good location. The hot spring facilities are truly exceptional, complete with indulgent snacks and a comfortable resting area. The staff members stand out with their remarkable hospitality, consistently going above and beyond. During a challenging midnight when my daughter wasn't feeling her best, the hotel staff provided unwavering assistance, which was incredibly reassuring. Additionally, I encountered a predicament when trying to secure an early morning taxi. However, once again, the staff came to my rescue, ensuring a seamless resolution to my transportation concern. Out of the seven hotels I experienced throughout my Japan journey, this particular establishment offered an unparalleled stay. It has truly set a new standard for my travel experiences. Without a doubt, I look forward to selecting this exceptional hotel once more for my next adventure in Japan.

The public bath under the night sky is an incredible experience. We hardly used our room shower because of the convenience of the sento. The staff is always available, nice and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable. The location is fantastic, with everything we needed within a 5-minute walk. There are also train stations nearby, making it easy to travel to any destination. To top it off, we received a complimentary bowl of ramen every night, which was a delightful treat.

The hotel is quite old, and our room was a bit worn out. The beds and pillows were not very comfortable. I had to ask for the humidifier that was shown in the photos, as the air is very dry during the winter. I was given an old, partially broken humidifier that lacked maintenance, but it did its job.

Employees were very nice and helpful. Although there's a language barrier, they used a translator device so it was enough for communicating our needs. Breakfast daily was awesome but I wish they would switch up the menu some days. Everything was delicious though. Loved the free Yakult.drink and ice cream and free night time ramen! It was a huge help to have the on site laundromat access.. It was such a life saver for us who stayed almost 2 weeks. Location was everything!!! It's so close to the train stations, 7 eleven, Electric Town, Don Quixote, excellent restaurants, and a shrine nearby. All within walking distance!!! We didn't try the onsen by choice. Not really interested but some might find it convenient. It's so quiet at night and we felt very safe in that area. It was definitely a good place to stay.. Not exactly a 5 star hotel. No gym, no swimming pool but for the price, Comfort, And convenience, I would definitely highly recommend this place.

Facility might be a bit old and like most people say about Tokyo hotels, rooms are small -ish but it didn't bother us. We just needed a room to sleep and shower and relax. There's also a mini fridge. So it works!

I liked that they will happily take your bags and you can go explore the city before it’s time to check in and then bring them up to your room! What great service! I think the ambience of the hot water area was very cool. The conditioners and everything for your hair was top notch.

The only thing I had a little bit of a question about was, they would not allow us to bring my daughter‘s Japanese teacher up to our room to get her gift that we got for her. She had to wait downstairs. I don’t know if that was a safety issue for Her and they were protecting her from us Americans or if it was because they thought maybe we were gonna keep her up there and she’d be a third guest in the 2 Guest room? But it was OK. We just left her downstairs went up and got her gift and brought it back down but I just thought that was a little bit different but that’s OK. Difference is good.

Second time staying here (first was in October 2023), even recognised some returning staff members and very good and friendly service. Breakfast and ramen in the evening is great too. Of course - the public baths were great as well, though for those who have tattoos it is going to be a problem, I would advise to email the hotel staff and ask if covering them with a special sticker of sort is acceptable or not in case this is a deciding factor. You get a set of clothing, which can be worn at the entirety of hotel premises and a small desktop mirror, which can be useful for folks who shave their heads in order to get a rear and side views in the process. Ironing equipment can also be rented and you can also use laundry services. Very good location if you want a nice spot in Akihabara with access to trains (two stations nearby!), very easy to go to most key locations in Tokyo and only one stop change to Haneda airport. Lots of useful shops nearby, along with Bear Papa's pastry shop under the Akihabara station bridge!

Pillows could be a bit softer and thicker (my personal preference) and I think on some occasions the trains could be heard running as well, but it wasn't a serious issue. Just something to note for those who are looking to book!

Communal baths were very nicely done up, and I used them frequently during my stay. While there was no laundry service, placing the washing machines and dryers inside the communal bath was actually quite helpful, as I could use the bath while waiting for my laundry to be done.

The room I booked was very tight, with very little space to manoeuvre. It would have been helpful to have had a bigger sink area, and a wall mounted mirror as the provided mirror was too small and placed very low.

The onsen on the top floor was the most beautiful of all our hotel stays in Japan. Fantastic location close to train stations and a 5 minute walk to centre of Akihabara. Rooms lovely and clean. A little bit in the smaller side but great for Japan. Would definitely stay here again just for the onsen. 😝 Free ramen at night and free ice creams were a real treat too.

Mabe the buffet breakfast having a few more western selections but great if you love Japanese breakfast. Nothing else to dislike at all.

Very welcoming and friendly staff. I really liked this hotel because it felt pleasant to come back to after a long day out in Tokyo. Great location in Akihabara, it’s in walking distance of all anime and electronic shops as well as being near Ueno station for day trips to nearby cities. There’s also a proper supermarket nearby with fresh bentos and sushi. The onsen, free ice pops, ramen and probiotic drinks were super cool. Overall we really enjoyed this hotel and would book it again in the future!

Not much except that the sink and hairdryer is at the end of the bed, outside of the bathroom which is a bit strange but space efficient.
