It has perhaps the most perfect location. It was about 15 min walk to the akihabara station or a 10 min walk to the kanda station. Kanda station was amazing to be near as you could easily get to any place in Tokyo there. And there is a direct train to the Ghibli museum station Mitaka as well, which was really easy to get to. The staff were very friendly and the facilities were very nice. It was winter and a bit cold, but the blanket was very warm. You also got a free water bottle and a quite big free locker. Every evening you could come down to the main room and socialize with others, despite me not using that option, it was very nice to see as a good option. The hostel is very good for both solo travelers wanting to socialize and those who don't. And it's nice for solo female travelers as they have a female only floor. They also provide dryers and a lot of other things you can lend. If I go again alone to Tokyo, this will definitely be the place I will book again.

My only complaint would be that the showers water took a while to heat up and I didn't really understand which was warm and which not. But it very much could have been fixed if I just asked the staff, which I didn't do.

Loved this hostel! Ended up extending my stay TWICE. The space is clean, spacious and comfortable. You're given a small locker with key for your things, as well as slippers and a towel (not replaced daily). Staff is super sweet and speak fluent English (among other languages like Portuguese and German). Happy hour includes free beer but prices are fair if you miss the time. Laundry is available too (for a small fee) and you're walking distance from 7/11 (3min walk) and the metro (5-7mins). Anyway, rooms are cleaned daily and showers have hot water, shampoo, conditioner and body gel.....this is BY FAR one of the best hostels I stayed in (during a 4 month trip around the world). Would highly recommend!!

That I had to leave lol....but on a serious note, DEFINITELY take into consideration the location. You're not in shibuya or shinjuku sooo if you plan on spending a lot of time there, the commute is worth considering!

✅ incredibly large hostel rooms with so much space for bags, big lockers and incredibly friendly staff, who did the upmost to make us feel welcome. beds were really comfortable and spacious for hostel, and felt really private with wood walls and curtains. lots of free stuff to make use of, a very professional and classy hostel. toilets and shower facilities were impeccable, always clean and enough that we never had to queue once, and again felt very private. ❌ potentially need to make it clear what time quiet hours are, because we came back to the room at 10pm and were putting a few bags away and whispering, yet were told to be quiet by another guest. not sure if there is any quiet time enforced there, but some sort of guide in the rooms would be useful just to make sure you aren’t offending anyone/being annoyed when people are making minimal noise at a reasonable hour.

The location was perfect. Near a station and a walking distance from Akihabara and Ningyocho area which I realy like. The showers are on the 2nd floor and my bed was on the 4th floor. But I do not mind that, since the showers are very clean and spacious and have everything that you need. I also liked the terace on the rooftop, since I smoke. The common area offers a tv and games and a small kitchen. You can buy (very cheap) some food, drinks or tooth brushes and razors. You also get a free drink. You get one towl for free. The staff is realy nice and helpful and they speak english. There are a lot of recomendations to visit around the area, which is appreciated - like a bar or a public bathhouse. There is a washing machine and you can dry your clothes on the rooftop. The bed was realy comfortable. I haven't been to many hostels in Japan, but this one was realy spacious. At least it felt like that.

I got the uper bed and the AC and the ventilator just didn't reach it. I asked the staff if they can change my bed to the lower one and they did, and I slept like a baby. Your room will automaticly loock everytime the door closes, so do not forget your key card when waking up and going to the bathroom. I had no trouble with that, but some might. No AC in the bathrooms, but there is AC in the shower room.

Great hostel with a social atmosphere. Every day between 7-8PM there is a free drink which creates a good opportunity for meeting people. The room was quiet, with lights out at 9PM for people who like to sleep early. The kitchen at the reception was clean and there was fridge space for storing food and you could buy small snacks and drinks at the reception for cheap. There are two supermarkets and two 7-eleven nearby and metro station is a 7 minute walk away, and a 15 minute walk to Akihabara. Great location, prize and the staff was super friendly and helpful. I will definitely be staying here again next time I go to Tokyo.

The room was very cold for being November, the heating wasn't turned on yet.

Cheap, convenient location with walking distance from JR shinjuku / asakusa lines, and hibiya line. Also you can choose to walk from Akihabara. Staff is friendly, good amenities and there is happy hour between 7 & 8pm every day (free drink). They have an inhouse washer and dryer as well, and a prayer room.

Normal in Tokyo but the regular rooms you have to share 12 beds in 1 room so it may be cramped for some - you may opt for the rooms with more space if you pay more. Also the bathroom cleanliness could be improved slightly.

It was really clean which came as as surprise as at the end of the day it’s a hostel, but the bathrooms and showers were always clean. Also the room was okay size for six people. There’s lockers to keep your valuables in as well as something like a bike chain for suitcases so you can keep them locked in the room. I was very pleasantly surprised about the hostel. The bed very comfortable and kitchen has all you need and the location is great.

Probably just people in the room not being considerate but that’s not hostels fault.

I booked a bed in the female-only dormitory style floor. Shared a room with 5 other people. Lockers were narrow so everyone had their large luggage out which wasn't an issue personally. I think we all struggled with shuffling through our belongings late at night and early in the morning, while being considerate of our neighbors, but that seems expected. Bathrooms were clean, showers were straightforward. Staff were very kind (thank you Manami!!!), the common area was small but incredibly lively with people who wanted to meet and chat, which was amazing. Met some cool people from around the world during my 4-day stay!! This spot is also an incredibly convenient location next to major train lines. If youre into taking walks, Hostel DEN is 15-20 min from Akihabara, and 20-25 min from Tokyo Station. They provide: Free wi-fi Prayer room Work room Laundry/dryer on-site (an awkward set-up but it's available for a cost) Additional amenities (free of charge or offered for a relatively small fee) Showers include shampoo/conditioner/body wash Elevator

Excellent location close to Akihabara, a few minutes away from multiple subway lines, social but not a party hostel, good temperature in the dorms and the shower are pretty good.

The cleanlines of the dorm's floor wasn't great, a lot of dust and rubbish under the bunks and between them and the walls, the bunks' curtains were missing some hooks.

- The room and toilet are very clean. Bed is provided with bedlight and socket. - Close to bus stop if you were from Tokyo Station. - The floor that I stayed is only for female. - I arrived at the hotel around 9pm and luckily the receptionist was still there to help open the key box. - I like the hostel in Japan where all the rooms are using the electronic passcode, unlike the typical physical key. - The wifi is good. - The room is automatically light off at 9pm. I like this as it preventing anyone to turn on the light if they arrived in the middle of the night.

The shower rooms are only at 2F. Wish it can be on the same floor. Considering this is Tokyo, the room space is a bit small to put your luggage. Locker is provided, but I hardly used it.
