Right next door to a subway station - and a 7-eleven :). Nice grocery store just a few buildings away. Quiet neighborhood. It’s also walking ( long but interesting)distance to Tokyo station

Beds and pillows were a tad hard. But I’m picky. Also , we were on the 5th floor. It was quiet but I could just hear/feel when the train ran under us. Prob would have bothered me if we were on a lower floor. My husband never heard it. , so again , I’m sensitive to things like that.

I loved the onsen and the breakfast was incredible. I am a 60-year-old woman from US traveling alone. The room was small but it did not bother me as I was hardly in the room. I loved going to the hot tub at the end of the day after walking a lot. The best part was the metro which was right next door. I stayed at other dormy hotels after liking this one. I highly recommend this hotel and will stay there again.

The sorrounding area did not have that many restaurants or coffee shops. It was not much of a neighborhood but it was fine for me.

Location: Kodenmacho Station right outside the hotel. One stop to Akihabara on the Hibiya Line and straight run to/from Narita via Skyliner from Ueno Station (4 stops). 7 Eleven and Family Mart stores plus a mini-supermart next door. Fancy deparment stores Coredo and Mitsukoshi about 15 mins walk. Plenty of good food. Public baths

Front desk staff not particularly friendly or hospitable - which frankly, is unusual for Japan hospitality industry.

The hotel is right beside Kodenmacho station and can even be considered to be in walking distance to Akihabara. It is also very easy to get to Ginza, Ueno etc from the Hibiya line, perhaps even Shinjuku or Shibuya. There is an onsen, sauna and cold bath on the 11th floor. Depending on the hours, there is free probiotic drinks (earlier in the day) or ice cream (later part of the day) for your enjoyment after a nice onsen bath. The floor also has 2 massage chairs and vending machine for milk/probiotic drinks and other beverages. There is also free noodles after 9.30 PM as long as stock lasts. The room itself felt a lot more spacious compared to my stay at APA hotel, I could fit 2 open lugagges. I very much liked the location and services provided. I also liked having a little door to separate the doorway/bathroom area and the bedroom area. There is an automatic light that is sensor based at the door regardless if your card is inserted or not which was also nice touch.

It's a splendid facility with an onsen and special treats. Breakfast is a must in this hotel—there's a great selection! The staff is very helpful and speaks decent English. I didn't have any problems with the checking-in and checking-out process. I'll definitely come back again.

The room is a little too small to stay with large luggage. If you are packing light, it must be no problem. However, this is till compensated by plenty of facility to use outside of the room. Spacious hot tub area and restaurant that will keep you enjoy in the hotel.

It's a fun hotel and good value for money. The room is small, suitable for 1 person. There are many activities you can do in the hotel; the onsen, the massage chair (highly recommended), the ice-cream, the drink bar, the ramen and of course the breakfast.

The location is okay, depending on where you want to travel to. Typically take 20 mins to go to Ginza.

There were so many lovely little touches, I felt so at home here. The bathing area on the top floor was absolutely the best part of my stay. Just wonderful. And the breakfasts were excellent. The staff were friendly and welcoming and they took good care of my luggage when I arrived earlier than I could check in. The location is in a less touristy, quieter but lovely part of the city.

I didn’t like that I had to leave!

Our room was a reasonable size for a Tokyo hotel, and handy to the subway and plenty of places to eat and drink. The Dormy Inn extras - like free midnight ramen and then onsen (free yakult or ice cream for post bathing enjoyment were great). Staff were friendly and very helpful - they loaned us an iron, and organized to mind our luggage for a week while we went elsewhere in the country. Kodenmacho is a little way off the beaten tourist track, so it is a quieter than some bigger areas.

For the price, I can’t think of any drawbacks.

Service, onsen, free Soba before sleep, breakfast is still the same as last time, except they mix salmon with red caviar this time

Need renovation, the wallpaper was peeling off in the hallway, and the curtains in room are not covering fully.

Very fictional facilities (nice public baths, quick laundry machine while you bathe, free fancy massage chair, extensive breakfast spread, free ramen at night, lots of other freebies). Clean and excellently run. On a subway station and close to several others.

Area around the hotel is office are rich is dead at night and we had trouble finding food after 8pm. Solution is to take the subway a couple of stops. Small 'Tokyo sized“ room (though I've certainly seem smaller) and very hard bed and pillows.
