Amazingly helpful staff. We called to ask if it was OK to come early and store our bags, and arrived at 11AM to find that they had rushed to clean our rooms to allow us to check in early. Each room was part of the experience - it felt very cool to stay in a work of art.

This is my third trip to Japan and I can confidently say that this is the best accommodation I have ever stayed in. The facility is gorgeous - ranging from the art in the room & halls to the overall maintenance and cleanliness. Further to this, all of the staff working within this hotel are absolutely amazing - they are so polite, wonderful to engage with, bring great vibes at the on-site bar, and regularly host small events at the location so even as a solo traveller you don't feel isolated. My only regret is not spending more time here!

Nothing - genuinely having no negative feedback.

The staff was tremendously kind and helpful, the room was really cool and the bed quite comfortable! I stayed in Visual Ambiance, which is a single room and I will say it was tiny, but that’s pretty normal for Tokyo. I loved the art display in the room and the location wasn’t bad - about a 7-15 min walk to the nearest station depending on which one you go to. VERY much in the heart of the business district; keep in mind that many restaurants in the area aren’t open on Sundays. The only thing I wish it had were a couple more hangers for clothes and an extra hook on the wall for like a bag or umbrella, but those are very picky things. Overall would highly recommend the hotel, and I’m sure the double rooms are larger. :)

Great location, very clean and well serviced art-character hotel close to Tōkyō station, Yurakucho and to local Ozu washi paper shop. Breakfasts and coffee were great. The welcome drink was a bonus.

Only that there was a misunderstanding about sending luggage to next destination ahead by takyubin, as a result on the morning I left I had to take it with me on the metro as I was travelling to a rural area takyubin required 2 days (this was a question I specifically asked on checking in). The rules about breakfast not being served before 8 am are rigidly enforced and some flexibility would have been appreciated. As an artist I chose this hotel for its ethos but the opening night was not particularly inclusive of guests.

We loved this hotel and would return. It is unique and enhanced Tokyo experience. It is well located close to the subway and we loved the Corredo area nearby for restaurants. Our room was a bit small but roomy by Japan standards. Nice bathroom. Very very quiet! We heard no sound from other rooms or outside so slept really well. The staff Yoko and James were delightful and super helpful. The breakfast is WELL worth the price. Beautiful and delicious !! Nice little bar area to hang out.

We had the column room which we appreciated but it is a bit intrusive. The column is one thing but it feels like there are extra walls added for effect which disrupts the function of the room. We felt that should be part of the challenge to the aritists. Function and form ?!

Hotel staff were efficient, helpful and friendly. Location is in a quite residential neighborhood, yet central and well connected to the metro. Bathroom was very compact but had all the essentials and very clean. Good water pressure in the shower. AC was nice and warm for chilly nights.

Some rooms might be a bit too avant-garde and not the most comfortable but it is an art hotel so each room is unique, and you get to choose exactly which room to stay in. My room had two windows both facing a wall so it didn’t get much daylight. Since I was only in the room to sleep, it didn’t bother me too much.

The room was as cool as the pictures portrayed, and it also has the comfort of a good sized bathroom. The staff were super nice and professional. I needed help sending a package, and the staff helped me send it. I also lost my wifi-device while my taxi was approaching, the lady working there at the time came to help me look for it. I didn't have the chance to properly thank both members of the team for their help, and I would like to say it here.

The front door was broken when I was there but they were fixing it. It really did not bother me, but this review is making me write a sentence.

A truly unique, wonderful expereince in Tokyo! I stayed in the "Sushi Wars" queen room, and it did not disappoint... when you check in, staff greet you and bring you a (non-alcoholic) welcome drink in their chic industrial art lounge/lobby, and talk you through both the hotel as a whole and the specifics of the artist who curated your room. The rooms themselves are wildly unique and true to their pictures, as well as being quite comfortable. I loved the disco balls and holographic walls of my kalediscopic chaos of JPop idol's feverdream of a room and the breakfast was truly phenomenal. 100% would stay here again! This is worth the extra price tag and you absolutely get your money's worth.

I did thwack my head pretty hard on the low entryway one evening, but that was literally the only "bad" thing about it and that was just my own clumsiness!

Loved the overall vibe of the place and the people that it attracts. Really liked all of the fellow guests we met. The room (framed function) was beautiful; crawling out of the bed via the end luckily for neither one of us a problem, maybe an inconvenience. Breakfast was delicious and we should have booked it and not pay extra each morning.

Breakfast service was understaffed and therefore a bit slow, also did not appreciate the running nose over my coffee and was surprised about the lack of masking of that particular staff member.

Overall, it was a nice stay and definitely original. The staff really nice and we liked the concept of the hotel and its relation with local artists.

As read in other reviews, some rooms may have some practical issues due to the original design. The room with a column for example, the column is right in the middle of the room and also quite big. I did two separate bookings because I want to extend my stay for one night, and add my partner. I asked if it was possible still to be in the same room for all three nights, however even if when requested there were rooms available in booking, we did the check out after the first night and checked in for the other two in another room. It would be much appreciated to accommodate the request and make it easier.
