Excellent location near Kanda Station (close enough for it to be really convenient, but not close enough for you to hear every passing train), surprisingly spacious room by Tokyo standards, which was also very clean and intelligently designed, plus helpful and English-speaking staff. Plenty of free amenities available to collect at the reception.
To start with, the breakfast is terrible. Even though I had paid for breakfast throughout my stay, I started to get my own from a nearby convenience store from day 2. Book without, and it will not be an issue. Also, the room was spacious, but when the bill came, you also realised you paid for every extra square feet/meter. Still, a room this spacious in Tokyo would normally require a hotel with one or two additional stars, which can be felt additionally on the price tag. Cleaner also behaved a bit erratically at times, but reception staff quickly sorted it out.

Good location, about a 10 minute walk from the JR station. It's a quieter neighbourhood but still plenty of food options! Front desk staff were very helpful and friendly, check-in process was smooth and fast! The rooms are pretty standard in size for what you can get in Japan without paying big bucks. The bathroom was clean and the bidet is always a treat (we looked forward to warm toilet seats, and now miss it because we are home). We asked front desk for extra pillows and they brought it up to our room within 15 minutes. The amenities were also greatly appreciated- hair irons, curlers as well as, bath salts and razors etc.

+very convinient location, close to the city centre and many lines of public transport, safe area +kind and helpful staff +everything was clean and functional +small quiet room on a top floor with a nice view and large comfortable beds, as we wished for +good breakfast with everything we needed (although for a longer stay we would appreciate changes of menu) +we were pleasantly surprised by the amount of toiletries available, free rental equipment and pajamas +two washing mashines and dryers, vending machines +exchange ATM with the best exchange rate we saw during our entire 3-week stay in Japan We didn't expect such quality for a relatively low price compared to Europe, but we soon found out that in Japan it's like that with almost everything. We hope to come back soon! <3

This was our third time in Japan, and we’ve stayed at Sotetsu Fresa Inn Tokyo Kanda every time. This time, we stayed from 27 May to 2 June, then returned on 8 June to 17 June. The staff are always extremely friendly, welcoming & helpful. When we arrived on our first day, the hotel went the extra mile to arrange a small gift for my fiancées birthday, which was very much appreciated, especially after a long travel day. Breakfast was great as always, and the location is fantastic, as you are only a few minutes walk from Kanda Station, and surrounded by food & drink options. Already planning our 2026 trip, and will absolutely be returning to Sotetsu Fresa Inn Tokyo Kanda.

Very kind and friendly staff, always ready to help if questions arrived Very clean Hotel lobby and room Very nice and unexpected available amenities (tea, bath salt, toothbrush, etc) Reasonably close to a train station Free umbrellas to borrow Fast and easy check-in & check-out process
This is just 1 thing and a bit nitpicking and i added some suggestions: Western breakfast was sub par, selection was not too large. Lack of: fruits, jams (only blue berry), juices (milk water tea and coffee were available). The choice of breakfast sausage was a bit confusing (hot-dog sausages). If the breakfast had fruits, more jams, a different type of breakfast sausage and bacon we would have used the in hotel breakfast more than just the 1 time (even if the price would rise)

Check in process was smooth. Wide range of amenities available in the lobby; toothbrush/toothpaste, bath sponge, combs, various teas, facial washes, and different bath powders. Friendly staff. Room was very clean, no smells or stains. The single room I booked was just nice for solo traveller, though it might be a little small for a couple. Great location. Near to multiple stations, both on the JR and subway lines. Plenty of food available at night. Great coffee place nearby. Also located right beside a 7-eleven, and a 2 minute walk to a FamilyMart.
The window in my room was tinted, and because it was located on a low floor, there wasn't a view anyway. However, not having a view (even of the opposite building's facade) makes the room feel a little claustrophobic.

This is my second time staying at the Tokyo-Kanda location. The location is excellent for those looking to travel around and enjoy the city (multiple train and subway stations within a 7 - 10 minute walk). It is quite busy during work hours, but the area calms down after sunset and there are a great variety of food options within walking distance. The room was always very clean and the hotel has well-functioning washer (around 300 yen) and dryer (100yen per 30 mins) facilities, vending machine, and free amenties (toothbrushes, pajamas, sunscreen etc). The staff are helpful and kind and speak multiple languages. Never had any issues with noise from outside or from other guest rooms.
I would not recommend this hotel for families or groups of friends as the rooms are very cramped and small, however, it is great for solo-travellers or couples looking for somewhere simple that ticks all the boxes. To give a rough idea of size, there is not sufficient room to lay a medium-large suitcase on the floor and the bathroom has standing room for one person only.

A very reliable, modern, clean and comfortable hotel! Friendly and helpful staff, allowed earlier check-in for 1000yen per hour. The room had everything we needed, the bed was wide, and there were lots of nice freebies in the lobby, like tooth brushes, bath salts, coffee etc. We also used the 24/7 coin laundry on the 2nd floor. About 4 minutes away from Kanda station, so it was really easy to get around Tokyo. We booked our stay the night before due to an unexpected mold issue in our Airbnb, and even with such a last-minute booking the price of the hotel was very reasonable for a couple. Thanks for having us! :)
The floor space in the room was a bit limited and sometimes tricky for two suitcases, but it's a very common feature of hotel rooms in Tokyo and we made do. Also, a tip for using the coin laundry: the dryers should be packed with very little clothing at a time, or left to run for a longer time, as the basic cycle only dries socks and underwear and leaves shirts etc. still wet. We had to do a couple extra runs to get everything dry.

The amenities (e.g. laundry, free toothbrush/soap) were good. The daily cleaning was well done. Cheap laundry (300 yen for wash, 100 yen/30mins dryer). 7/11 was right next to the hotel. Staff was very accommodating and nice. Shower was easy to use. The hotel was in a quiet part of Kanda so I fell asleep easily.
It was a 10-15 mins walk from the nearest station (JR Kanda station) so it was tedious to drag my luggage along the bumpy pavement. Other stations are a 15+ mins walk too. Laundry services were cheap but there was only 2 washing machines and 2 dryers, so I couldn't fully dry my clothes as other guests needed it. Small room, which was fine for a solo traveller but it might be too small for non-solo travellers.

The best thing about this hotel is convenience. As it is close to couple of stations like Kanda (Chuo, Ginza, Keihin-Tohoku, Yamanote lines), Iwamotocho (Shinjuku line), Kodemmacho (Hibiya line), Shin-Nihombashi (Sobu line), it is very easy to access different parts of Tokyo. It is in walking distance to interesting areas like Akihabara and Jimbocho. There are different konbini options around the hotel. There are two washing machines (300 yen) and two dryers (100 yen). At least one was always available to use. There are two vending machines (one for soft drinks, one for alcohol), an ice machine for cold drink lovers, and a microwave in the same area as the laundry. The lobby has necessities you might take whenever you want like coffee, tea bags, cotton pads, bath salts, etc. I stayed 12 nights, and the room would be cleaned at least every 3 days. I was satisfied with the cleanliness of the room. Wifi works great. There was no noise, and it was a comfortable stay.
If you are looking for a great view from your hotel room or even having morning sun waking you up, this is not the hotel for you. I knew this before deciding to stay here, however, at one point I would just get up and leave early just because I needed natural light to wake me up. Also, if you have more than one luggage and they are big, you need to keep your room organized to navigate easily. Rooms are relatively small as most are in Tokyo.
