November 2023

The hotel opened in 2020 I believe and the facilities still seem almost brand new - everything was well maintained and clean. The Nihombashi/Kanda area had a lot of great restaurants nearby and had x2 stations within 5mins walking from the hotel. In the daytime it was very lively with the office workers out and about, but it was a quiet oasis at night - great for light sleepers! LOVED the 大浴場 (large communal bathing area), very clean and super relaxing after a long travel day.

There was a miscommunication about the room cleaning schedule and cleaners tried to enter my room without knocking (while I was inside). There was also a charge from the restaurant (which I did not use) upon checkout. The reception staff was very professional and sorted both these things out though!

The room has everything you can ask for from a five star hotel except excessive space and decoration. water tap is filtered and is drinkable. Bathroom mirror is heated. Toilet is toto washlet. Bedding is very clean. Towel is changed daily. Great location.

room is really compacted. hard to have two luggage open at the same time.

We were very very happy with our stay at Kazusaya Hotel Tokyo!! First of all the location was amazing, very quiet and convenient! JR an Metro station within 6min walk, in the night very quiet, we could even slept with an window open! The hotel staff was very friendly and welcoming. There is a small Japanese restaurant on the first floor, that serve Japanese food and breakfast. (Breakfast was also in West-style available). The hotel has a big comfortable public bath, that all guests can use without extra charge. We were traveling with a 10a old son, so we booked a 3 bed room (what is really difficult to find in Tokyo!!!) and it was amazing! Spacious, clean, modern and we really had enough place for all our baggage and ourselves! The beds were big and comfortable, mattress and pillows were also great (really it is not always the case!). We also had a separated toilet and bathroom with Japanese style. We get all kind of toiletries and nice pyjamas for a comfortable stay, tee and coffee, kettle. I totally recommend this hotel an will stay there again if I ever come to Tokyo again!!

This hotel is located in the center of Nihonbashi area. The Shin Nihonbashi JR station is 4 min walking distance, and Metro Mitsukoshimae is 8 min walking distance. You can go anywhere in Tokyo and vicinity by using public transportation. I took taxi cab from Haneda Airport to the hotel and it charged me JY8,300- including toll. They have a public bath room in the second floor and it is very comfortable to ease the body before go to bed. You can enjoy any kinds of foods because it is Nihonbashi and Kanda area, relatively reasonble price because it is down town Tokyo. If you come from Narita Airport, take Narita Express from Narita Airport and one station back from Tokyo to Shin Nihonbashi. The train depart from same plat form area, it is the easiest way from Narita.

The room is not so big enougn, especially big and tall guys. if you are tall and big guy, I recommend you to use two rooms when you are couple. But location is more than everything.

We stayed at Hotel Kazusaya twice during our trip to Japan — once for six nights in a semi-double room with a shower, and once for a single night in a semi-double room with a bathtub. Excellent location, with JR, Metro, Kanda, and Akihabara stations nearby — very convenient for exploring Tokyo. The breakfast was tasty, with a choice between Japanese and Western-style sets. A good option for short stays.

Both rooms were very small. The room with a shower was okay for a short stay, but felt too cramped after four nights. The room with a bathtub was even tighter — uncomfortably small even for one night. Breakfast is served only until 8:30 AM on weekdays, which feels too early. On one occasion, we had to wait in a long line (over 20 people) and it took around 30 minutes to be seated and served.

The breakfast was awesome - a traditional Japanese breakfast with miso soup, various small dishes, and tamagoyaki. I also really enjoyed access to the large and amenities-filled public bath on the second floor. It was nice knowing that my safety as a woman is prioritized with the bath too - the women's bath (contrary to the men's) is locked and you have to ask the front desk for the key to access it.

I accidentally only booked for myself, and had to add my partner when we arrived day-of (oops). I was surprised to find that the price of the room increased nearly $50 just because another person was staying with me. The room itself was already set-up for two people: a full bed, two sets of towels and toiletries, even two robes and slipper sets for the bath. I wish there was not this extra cost for more people. I'm still confused by it.

Close to several metro stations. Quite spacious room compared with many Japanese hotels. Helpful staff.

I was there for 4 nights. The first night was at the end of a trekking tour so the trekking company booked the room. I made a private booking for the next 3 nights. I was a bit disappointed that the hotel didn't provide me with the same room for the 4 nights. Instead, I had to check out after the first night, wait 5 hours and then check in again. This wasn't convenient, especially on a grey drizzly day. On the upside, the room I was given for the 3 nights was better than the one for the first night.

I expected less given the price I got through booking.com, but was pleasantly surprised. This hotel, one of the oldest in Tokyo has been recently renovated and everything was new, modern, and clean. While breakfast was extra, it was plated (not a buffet) and very good. Lunch and supper is served also and a very good value for lunch (did not eat supper there). Staff was excellent. They have an Ofuro or pubic bath if you wish to partake.

Location was about 10 minute walk from train station and for me, was difficult to find. I wish Japanese hotels were bigger and had drawers or shelves for clothes.

Staff were friendly; they allowed us to check in early Facilities modern and clean Vending machines available The onsen was a nice bonus as well Late check out was available, we were charged was 5000¥ per hour

Not a very well connected area, but you can walk 10 minutes to the main metro system Not much to do in the immediate area except the Robot cafe We were not hit with this, but the hotel does charge for lost keycards - the fee I recall was not reasonable!

Location is excellent: plenty of options to get around by public transportation. Plenty of restaurants, bakeries, shops and convenience stores at a short walk. Hotel room is small but adequate for a couple with 2 large suitcases. Bathroom is of a comfortable size for Tokyo. Having an on-site laundry and microwave was a nice bonus. Although we didn't use it, hotel has a nice looking restaurant with competitive prices.

Free onsen required covering tattoos (which is quite common in Japan) and although hotel offered covers for purchase, it just felt a bit of a hassle to got through if you have big tattoos and we ended up not using it. This is by no means a fault on the hotel, I just wish I could have enjoyed it without the hassle.
