I did like the location just next to the Tokyo Dome. There are lots of opportunities to eat around. Also, the area is not too noisy or crowded. The breakfast is excellent. Everything is top clean. Everything works fine. Perfect bed. I slept excellent.

At the check-in, the staff just pointed me to the self-service check-in. Hotels are in the hospitality business. Hence, they should welcome guests personally. Anyway, it seems to be a trend. The room was ridiculously small. It was the smallest room I ever had. However, the interior designer did a phantastic job. He maximized the utility of the room. I could work on my computer on a solid desk, had all the plugs just next to me, good light, etc.

The location is near to many train stations. The room is superb! Beds are one of the most comfortable bed we ever had. Cleanliness is ✅✅✅. Staffs are also very polite, accommodating and service is 👍👍👍. We supposed to transfer to another hotel but when because of the experience we got in our stay here, i've cancelled the other hotel and decided to just extebd our stay at hotel metropolitan edmont. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great value for money, a good location and great staff.

One slight negative. I was on a long business trip that necessitated the use of a washing machine and dryer. There are 2 of each only for the two wings of the hotel and I forgot; my washing liquid, put money in the wrong machine by mistake (muscle memory from the week before), got more money and finally started the machine. With the drying as well it took 7 visits to sort a small load. The week before we were all queuing up for the dryer, so anther 2 machines in the other wing would be great.

Location was good, not far from train station and just a few quick stops to many of the other major stations and points of interest such as Harajuku, Shinjuku, Roppongi and Yoyogi. The restaurants in the hotel were expensive, however, outside in the local neighborhood they were very affordable and excellent quality.

The hotel has no proper gym facilities, they claim to have a gym but it's just 2 exercise bikes and a treadmill.

The quality of the rooms. Access to the nearby subway train station.

The rigid checkin time. Even though our room was available, the staff were not allowed to check us in!! I have never experienced this in the hundreds of different hotels that I have stayed in around the world, never! There were 6 reception staff doing absolutely nothingm but the Supervisor told the 6 staff that no check ins were to occur until 3pm. He finally relented at 2.50. How ridiculous. After 5hours travel, all we wanted was our room, not a rigid Supervisor over ruling his very helpful staff. Also it is claimed that the staff speak fluent English. Unfortunately not true. An incorrect restaurant booking was clear evidence of this. Higher rate rooms are great but lower priced rooms are small and cramped.

Hotel Metropolitan Edmont is a perfect spot for a "home base" in Tokyo. Liked · This was our third stay at the Hotel Metropolitan Edmont in June and July, 2025, for a total of 12 nights. We had chosen this hotel based on its proximity to a garden we thoroughly enjoy, the Koishekawa Korakuen. However, the location for the garden was not all, as the connections for trains and subways and local interesting streets made this hotel a terrific "home base" while we were in Tokyo. The staff were, from the first, welcoming, helpful, considerate and very attentive to detail. The reception staff smoothly booked us in and out, handled baggage storage, found printing sources, and also, we were able to purchase a set of the most comfortable 'room clothes' ever, prepared and packaged beautifully. The restaurant staff were also wonderful, from the very special meals in their main restaurant where we were meeting with Japanese friends, to the breakfast buffet (perfect for our last travel day send-off), and then the Patisserie, a great spot for hand-held sustenance that was also very good. The cleaning staff were exceptional and we appreciated the return to the cool and tidy room after a day out in downtown Tokyo. Other aspects that make a hotel stay pleasant include the gym, which looked great but we did not use, and the laundry room, which was spacious and we did use. An interesting note: Check the screen for hotel information in your room, and click on the laundry button - it will show you how many machines are currently in use, and how much time they have to run! Brilliant! All aspects were exceptional and good value for the room cost. We stayed in both a Superior room and a Standard room and I recommend both. The hotel was celebrating its 40th Anniversary, and we wish them continued good fortune. We would return to the Hotel Metropolitan Edmont, if we ever return to Japan. I am posting this review three times as we stayed there three times.

The room was spacious, clean, modern enough. The air conditioning/heating system worked well and responded quickly if we needed a temperature change. We had previously stayed at Hotel Metropolitan Kawasaki which was more modern than this one but we liked this one. We were in the East Wing which is attached via the lobby. More than one train station are within 5-10 minute walk. About a 10 minute walk to Tokyo Dome where there are a lot of restaurants. Starbucks and convenience stores within 2 minute walk. The breakfast buffet was hands down the best one I’ve experienced so far in Japan!

I liked everything about the property and the staff were very kind, friendly and helpful

Location is great, safe neighbourhood and mostly empty during the day. Very close (few minutes walk) to two train stations, one JR and one Tokyo Metro. If you are travelling using an unlimited metro pass you will be using the Iidabashi station a lot. Room is small for two people, but is moderately sized as far as Tokyo goes. The bathroom is fairly large and comfortable. Free water bottles which are refreshed every day. Humidifier in the room - we used this a lot as the air is quite dry in Tokyo. Concierge will hold your bags for you before/after check-out if needed. Luggage transfer services (I used airporter) are accepted.

Microwaves are located on a separate floor so if you want to heat up food to eat in your room you will need to go into a public area. Bathroom has weak air circulation so your bathroom will be misty after a shower for ~1 hour. Most of the restaurants around the area cater for foreign appetites - european, italian, chinese, etc. So you need to travel elsewhere if you want more options for local food.

Clean, quiet neighborhood, amenities close to jr station. They provided toothbrush/paste, brush, shwercap, razor, qtips, shower sponge etc

The breakfast buffet wasnt that great. Less choice. Chinese resto inside very pricy and food not great so I would not recommend.

The beds in this hotel are the most comfortable we have encountered on our trip. The pillows are great as well. A small but important part of the room. We have had some very hard beds in the last 3 weeks so we were very happy. We always ask for an extra pillows as the pillows are rather small here. The coffee pod machine makes excellent coffee and they replace the pods each day. It was very clean and after a bit of a walk around the area we found a great street for restaurants. Kagurazaka-dori street. Supposedly the best in Shinjuku. It’s near one of the nicest gardens and museums we have visited, Shinjuku Gyoen garden. Definitely worth a visit. They generously give 4 bottles of water and replenish them each day.

We didn’t enjoy the buffet breakfast. We felt rushed and didn’t feel comfortable. Plus we thought it expensive and for us not worth it. At 6:30am there was a queue. We thought that if we came down early the food would be hot. Unfortunately that was not the case. They advise guests of the crowds at Breakfast but when we left after a less than memorable meal with dreadful coffee it was much quieter. Our mistake.
