Hotel location was perfect, in a relatively quiet side street and less than 10 mins on foot from Ikebukuro station. Yes, there is a konbini nearby (on the corner less than 2 mins from the hotel) and several others within walking distance. However, in saying that you are within walking distance of many very good and affordable restaurants and cafes. Also in Minami park nearby there is farm to table cafe. I only had breakfast in the hotel restaurant. It was buffet style with both Japanese and western breakfast options. There was a good selection on offer, however breakfast is only available until 09:30hrs so get there early. The room was small but you had enough room to open a medium size suitcase and still be able to walk around it. Loved the fact that pyjamas were provided and what amenities you couldn't find in the room, were available in reception to stock up on. Apart from a kettle, there was also a mini fridge in the room, which was a godsend on hot days. Staff were friendly and spoke English. Which I'm always grateful for. Would I stay here again, most definitely, I already did!

Only negative thing about the room was the view from the window or better said lack of one. My room looked out onto the side of a buildings grey concrete wall. On the plus side, it was quiet.

My go to hotel in Tokyo. About 10 minute walk from Ikebukuro station meaning it is a little quieter area. Next to entrance to Higashi-ikebukuro station and Sunshine City. Lots of restaurants and shopping. Small room but always very comfortable. Had a small issue with my room after a couple of days but staff were quick to resolve and switch my room. Staff always happy to help, even if using a translator. Able to leave luggage before and after checking in/out.

A little dated with cleanliness but did not ruin my stay

The location was easily accesible and near the Ikebukuro station and by that the Yamanote line. Our twin room was spacious for the two of us and our luggage. New towels and water bottles were delivered every day even though our stay was under four days so our room wasn’t cleaned (which was fine for us).

The AC in our room wasn’t really effective so our room was kinda humid in the June weather and also the room could have been cleaned a bit more thoroughly before our stay. The breakfast included in our stay wasn’t anything special and when we arrived to eat towards the end of the breakfast time (closer to 9 am, breakfast was provided 7.30-9.30) we noticed that most of the dairy products weren’t kept chilled and that is why we did not want to eat or consume them, because we weren’t sure how long they had been out in room temperature.

The room is nice and clean, you have everything you need. The bed is very comfortable. You get water and new towels every day.

It’s a bit walking from the station, so after long days it’s a bit far. It’s small (we know it’s Tokyo) yet we didn’t place to open the luggage. They clean only once in 4 days. The air conditioner was full with dust, so when we tried to use it all fall at us. In overall it’s nice hotel, but the value for money wasn’t so fare.

Great location with Ikebukuro station less than 10 minutes walk away plus Higashi-Ikebukuro station almost across the road. Super close to Sunshine City for shopping and the aquarium and plenty of convenience stores moments away. My room was very clean and neat and big enough for a solo traveller, the toiletries and tea/coffee facilities in the room were very good and the self serve amenities station at the front desk was a bonus. Breakfast was good, plenty of variety and freshly made. The breakfast area wasn’t the biggest space, however, I never had to wait for a spot to sit and it was kept clean by the staff. Reception staff were very friendly and polite and while they spoke only a little English and I speak very little Japanese we were able to communicate and there was always a friendly greeting from them whenever I walked through the lobby. Also really loved that they change the towels daily but don’t service the room daily, only every four days of your stay - I can make my own bed and don’t see having room service for it each day necessary. Overall, I was really happy with my stay and would definitely look to stay again next time I visit Tokyo

The hotel is new and modern. It's super efficient and draws younger travelers (both business/tourists). Location is great. It's close to train/subway stations and other public transits and can reach most city attractions within 30 minutes. Lots of shops and restaurants are close by (within 5 minutes walk) that open late. It's a quieter stay with many locals hanging out in the neighborhood.

The room is as described and definitely on the tighter side. Staying in the room during the day might be a bit noisy because the staff are working on cleaning the room and trash bins/towels are being put out in the hallway.

Cozy room, nice free toiletries. I liked the pyjamas provided everyday. Housekeeping only on every 4th day but it was perfectly fine as the room was too tiny to be made up everyday. Fresh towels n pyjamas were left outside the door early morning :)

Same breakfast every single day. Once there was no regular spoon to eat my cornflake and milk.. Asked the waitress and she said.. sorry no spoon but pointed out the teaspoon to me. The kitchen was right behind her and I saw a staff washing things there. She could have checked in the kitchen. The room was tiny. There was only a "space" for a cabin sized luggage. Put my other cabin sized luggage near the door

Overall ,I enjoyed my stay there..I actually like the economical way of exchanging the towels.I do not like people to come into my room.Sheets are clean n doesn't have the smell.Staff are helpful though they cannot speak much in English.Love the amenities-good quality soap,conditioner n hand/face wash.Location quite convenient n not so crowded.Value for money.Wifi is good n will cone to stay again.

Go round n round finding for Higashi Ikebukuro.More than an hour. carrying my luggage.Actually the stations are at different end of the hotel..Should have highlighted near the overhead bridge above.

Good size bed. Staff helpful and friendly. Pajamas were 2 pieces so that was comfortable. Room temperature was just right. You can adjust it yourself. Towels, pjs, water, tea/coffee was replenished daily and left in bag on door. Huge selection of toiletries to choose from in the lobby. Including lotions and facial cleanser. Vinyl flooring with area rug. Used the Airport Limousine to Haneda from Sunshine City bus depot.

Bathroom needs to be updated, however, the price is very affordable. Room has a built in bench along the side of the bed so it takes up space in the already small room. No USB outlets.
