The hotel is located in the legendary city of 7 public onsens. The hotel offers free shuttle bus to and from these onsens. The admissions are free for hotel guests (they will give you the pass for that). However, the best onsen is not one of the 7 but the one in the hotel itself. The room is spacious with en suite bath and toilet. Breakfast and dinner are buffet and fun to eat. Don't expect anything fancy but overall quality is very good.

The onsen was fantastic and the accommodations were great. The food was good the first night and day but subsequent nights and mornings had the same buffet items. A single overnight stay would be perfect. Varying the items a bit more would be a plus.

The water station (just water) should be left open 24/7. They can turn off or block all other drinks but with onsen running, everyone gets thirsty. That would be helpful. Switching sides for onsen access (women/men) is great but it was only for a the mornings so leaving it switched the entire day would be good. It could be they just did it for that day we were there and may not be a problem.

Room was spacious and cozy. Half boarded was worth it, as their food provided was a lot of choices, well prepared and delicious. There were both inside and outdoor onsens. Transfer bus provided to take you to enjoy famous in-town onsens (¥90)with free pass to enter those onsens and also give you a free ride to the station which is 5 min away drive.

A fair walk from train station downtown (15 min) with current pedestrian path renovation in front of the hotel at my stay (Late Feb 2025).

Love the onsen and outdoor bath area, facilities very clean. They also provided shampoos, body soaps and skin care stuff as well (basic ones) bedroom also very cozy. Food is good, different menu for breakfast and dinner, but same menu every day. Not a very far walk to other onsens as well.

Excellent hotel with great amenities -- like the Lounge with free coffee, beer and snacks open much of the day. Free massage chairs adjacent to the well designed lobby with a river view. It is about a 5 minute walk in to the town. The onsens are well appointed with various shampoos, lotions, razors, etc. Excellent selection at breakfast and dinner buffets.

Only a couple of small things: towels were not replaced in rooms, they gave a stack at check in and never refreshed, also, the carpet in our room was well worn and will need replacement soon.

A bit far from center . Especially now they are building a bridge beside hotel. So a bit difficult walk to or from centre. But hotel provides bus from 4pm everyday.

Property is correct. Clean, nothing to complain. Breakfast and dinner are correct also. If the room facing the lake. The view is very nice.

A common motto we live by is, undersell and over deliver. Ooedo onsen did that at every turn. Please do not underestimate the food. Every meal was phenomenal and had something top notch available for everyone in the group. The guests we met were incredibly friendly. The onsens were amazing, the massage chairs… the massage chairs!!! Don’t hesitate to stay here, you will have an amazing time for an amazing value. And I almost forgot to mention the view overlooking the water. Wow. Honestly wow.

Even though the hotel is located a little distance from central Kinosaki, there is a shuttlebus service. The dinner buffet had a lot of variety! The ambience inside the hotel is relaxing as well.

For some reason my room was never cleaned during the day, without any explanation. Luckily I had hung up the towels for drying myself, so I could manage without a replacement.
