1. They have a free car park space onsite. 2. They provide free shuttle bus that runs from 4 pm to 10pm to take guests/pick up to/from the town centre where all the public onsens and shops located. 3. The hotel has its own private onsen. After trying both the hotel's and one of the public onsens, I like the hotel's onsen better as it was not crowded as the public one. 4. The breakfast they served was good. We quite enjoyed it. 5. Friendly staff 6. Lovely Ryokan

1. But the dinner that the hotel offered was just fair. It was not good as we expected. The beef was quite tough, not tender at all. No tempura of any kind was offered. Seafood is just okay. 2. The hotel's free shuttle bus does not run in the morning. Walking to the town is about 15-20 minutes. 3. Most of the shops in the town centre close between 5pm to 5:30pm. 4. Free coffee is available from the coffee machine on the G/F, but it tastes awful.

The room was amazing, typical japanese room with tatami, futon, all that. We had tea, water, beers available in the room. The bathroom had aminities available and was super nice. Overall it was super comfortable. The onsen inside the hotel was the best one out of all I saw in Kinosaki. Great experience! They gave us yukatas and towels, even footwear. You had free access to all onsens in town with a QR they provided you. Tattoos are not a problem too. We also had a kaiseki meal, which was an experience in itself. Some of the best food I had in Japan, and the service was amazing, we were explained what everything was and enjoyed it a lot. Our host was amazing. I am hoping to come back at some point in the future. The personel was amazing, super friendly and kind. It was a pleasure to be a guest! Definitely a highlight in my trip :)

no complaints, loved it inmensely. I hope to come back soon!

Gorgeous, larger ryokan-style hotel with very attentive staff. Room features, mini-bar, foot heater, bicycle loan, etc were excellent, as was the shuttle bus service. Lounge with view of koi pond garden, complete with nighttime kabuki projections, was relaxing and chill, with free self-serve coffee and tea available 24/7, a bit rare in Japan. Didn’t have time to check out the remaining amenities, but the hotel onsen and dining room are most likely excellent. The hotel-supplied yukata, jacket & wooden clogs have you ready for the mystic onsen, pass to all 7 onsen is included.

Location was slightly off the main drag, difficult to walk back to in wooden clogs. Shuttle bus service ends at 10:00 pm, though most onsen close at 11:00 pm. Futon was a bit thin and chintzy, with a sleeping pad they added still not enough padding.

This hotel was the highlight of my trip to Japan. Everything about this hotel was perfect. The room was big and very well kept, the staff was so kind and helpful (even though I can't speak japanese they still tried their hardest if they couldn't speak english). The food was fantastic, they gave you free bottles of beer and water, which was amazing. Honestly, i could go on and on about the good parts of this hotel. Next time I am in Kinosaki, I will be staying in this hotel again.

The tv didn't have access to YouTube or netflix, so I could only watch Japanese tv (not really that bad. I just want to mention this as a potential improvement that could be made to the rooms)

I loved their onsen. Being cold-climate adjusted, even in May the weather was blisteringly hot and the cool plunge pool was a godsend. It was not an option at the three public onsens we visited (of a total of 6, at the time of our stay), so to do the nordic-style "circuit" of hot+cold+rest+repeat was much easier at home. Plus the other guests were lovely. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat. My only tiny gripe was we are such softies we needed to add an additional futon under our bed, but other than swallowing the shame, it was easy as there was mulitples in the closet. The carp in the pond were particularly charming, we liked to sleep with the window open and the sound of their playing was memorable and so special. This place was truly remarkable.

The duvets provided were a bit too thick for summertime. I would have been quite happy with just a sheet or a thinner duvet, but neither were options. I managed. It was also not obvious to us that blackout panels were available to pull out in front of the more transparent screens. This was our own ignorance but would have been nice on our first two nights.

OMG we felt like royalty here! Walking through the ryokan we were picking our jaws off the floor - the room was stunning, yukatas included in the room were so comfortable, the hotel’s onsen is fantastic - you won’t want to leave the place! And then the food… we absolutely recommend going half board - breakfast and dinner were out of this world, we were stuffed every day. And our waitress was the sweetest person we ever met, very attentive, communicating via translating app. Shuttle service was available whenever we wanted to go into town and pickup was very fast as well. Easily the highlight of our Japan trip!

The service here was simply exceptional. From our spacious rooms with a view over the beautiful central zen garden to the lovely common rooms, it was clear that the spaces here are crafted with intention. The food was incredible and the service even better. My friend and I both had dietary requirements (vegetarian and pescatarian respectively) and these were accommodated no problem. Our meals were both delicious and aesthetically beautiful, the only sad part was that with the never-ending train of small dishes I could never finish my meals. All of the staff were fantastic and the shuttle service was a real additional bonus. Each staff member was kind, efficient and always down for a chat even (even if some of the jokes required a little help from google translate) and they even sent our passports into town via shuttle when we accidentally left them in the safe. Also, the onsen here were lovely, serene and very clean. We enjoyed the in-house onset more that those in town! Highly, highly recommend.

Everything was excellent, but the service at atmosphere were top notch. Food was also incredible. It was an overall never-to-be-forgotten experience. We had Naomi serve our meals and she was just a lovely person. We enjoyed getting to know her as we had breakfast and dinner for two nights. The Ryokan Onsen was also very enjoyable. In the summer, having the cold bath was wonderful!

We wanted the full traditional experience, but the futons and the pillows were challenging for us to sleep on. We knew what we were getting into though, so that didn't dampen our enjoyment of the inn.

Although this hotel is situated a little outside of the main street, it was a cosy and warm hotel. The staff were extremely helpful, the in-house onsen was fantastic and the dinner and breakfast spread was absolutely incredible, you definitely won't leave hungry! The room was huge and the hotel itself had a cosy lounge to relax in and free drinks. They also offer a shuttle service (that starts after 4pm) and will drop you off or pick you up from the designated location. They also drop you off at the station once you check-out.

Our TV wasn't working but tbh it wasn't a big deal as we were hardly in our room (too busy enjoying the bathhouses!)

Authentic traditional ryokan with very spacious tatami rooms and excellent facilities for guests. Dinner banquet and Japanese breakfast was excellent. The lounge with the free massage chairs, complimentary ice cream and drinks was great. Having free access to all the public Onsen was excellent. The kimono/yukata in our rooms that we could wear within the hotel and also outside in the village is very traditional and a treat for overseas guests. We had friends who had never visited Japan before so it was an incredible experience for them. The staff are extremely well trained and extremely customer focused to give guests a very special Japanese experience.

Having been brought up in Japan I thought it was a shame that the dining rooms where we had our dinner and breakfast was not a tatami room and instead had western table and chairs. However this is probably more comfortable for people who are not used to sitting on tatami floors. At breakfast one of our friends wanted a piece of toast instead of a croissant and that was not possible. Perhaps there was a logistical reason but we felt it wasn’t an unreasonable request. The bath towels are very thin.
