*The apartment is very clean and smells clean. * Its location is very excellent, close to many restaurants, cafes and supermarkets. * A very beautiful view from the fountain side . * Excellent dealings with the apartment owners while providing all the necessary needs in the apartment.

* The air conditioner is only in the hall, which makes it difficult for air to reach the bedroom, but in general the atmosphere is suitable for the apartment. * If the apartment is on the second or third floor, there is no elevator in the building * The internet in the bedroom is slow

The host was very kind and helpful, and made my friend’s stay feel so comfortable and welcoming. Whenever we asked about something or needed guidance about Kazakhstan, he always replied quickly on WhatsApp, which made everything so much easier for us. The place was clean, cozy, and well-prepared, and we truly appreciate the warm hospitality and support. One small suggestion is that it would be even better if there was air conditioning inside the room for added comfort, especially during warmer days. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I will definitely recommend this home to my friends when we visit Kazakhstan again.

(Repeating this review as the first version shows we stayed one night. We actually stayed 11 nights). 11 out of 10 for location: in the most attractive part of central Almaty. Our balcony overlooked the Nedel’ka (Days of the Week) fountain and the beautiful green park surrounding it. After a long day working (in my case) or walking round the city, we could relax with the French windows open and eat fruit sorbet from the superb ice cream café downstairs. It is ideally quiet but a 10-minute park walk to Abay etc. The kitchenette has four gas rings as well as a microwave, coffee maker and kettle and a huge fridge (useful for storing produce from the tremendous Green Bazaar). The bathroom has high-quality fittings. The bedroom is more compact but doesn’t feel cramped because of the high ceilings — this is a classic elite mid-20th century building, sympathetically converted. Definitely one of the best short-let apartments we have ever rented. The manager, Alibek, will make contact by WhatsApp to tell you how to access the flat and promptly responds to messages as needed. (PS also appreciated the thoughtful response to my comments and glad to hear more local touches are planned.)

We liked almost everything! The hot water is very slow to come through in the early mornings, but it was very hot outside when we were there, so not an issue. There are some nice black-and-white drawings of local interest on the walls and it would have been great to have something Kazakhstani on the walls rather than the large and ugly painting of Paris in improbable pink, too!

We had a fantastic stay at Opera Apartments in Almaty. The location is absolutely perfect-situated in the safest and most enjoyable district of the city, as my wife, who is from Almaty, assured me. It was a pleasure to be within walking distance of all the best restaurants, bars and attractions. The apartment itself is modern, clean, and thoughtfully equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Alibek and his team were incredibly helpful, always ensuring our needs were met with great attention to detail and warm hospitality. From start to finish, our experience was excellent, and we really enjoyed every moment in this wonderful place. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Almaty!

Our flat was on the first floor of an older building. The size of the flat was huge, with a bedroom, a living room, a kitchen and a small bathroom with toilet. The location of the flat is great, you have plenty of shops (including a big 24/7 grocery store) restaurants nearby. Our flat was above the fountains and it was very calming to listen to the sound of the water. The flat has working air conditioning and despite some previous criticisms from other guests, the sofa was super comfortable. In the flat you find all you need: water kettle, coffee machine, stove, washing machine, iron and iron board, etc. Check in was automatic and the payment could be easily carried out on the spot.

Some remarks: there is no elevator in the building, it must be definitely taken into consideration in case one travels with heavy luggages and/or has health issues. There were a lot of small and smelly bugs which entered in mass into the flat because of the non-perfect isolation of the windows. Our flat was above an event hall, which was extremely noisy during the day and in the early evening hours. After 9 pm, the loud music and the noise finished but until that it was quite unpleasant.

Opera Apartment is very strategically located with many restaurants nearby. Our apartment was very clean and well furnished, and we were able to check in early than the stipulated check in time. The manager and staff was very friendly and helpful, and provided many information upon our arrival. The manager went out of his way to help my resolve an issue with my Yandex Go driver.

The apartment was on the second floor and there was no lift, so it may be an issue with elderlies.

Very central and convenient location in a super nice neighbourhood, the staff were amazingly polite and helpful, the flat was spacious and comfortable.

Maybe a bit more frequent cleaning could work better, also there is a very low water pressure in the shower which might be a bit uncomfortable for some, and the shower door is a bit flaky causing the water to flood the exterior of the booth.

Opera apartments is conveniently located in the heart of the old center with wonderful restaurants, cafes and main historical attractions in the walking distance. It’s a quiet street, which gives a safe and comforting stay. The apartments are well furnished and have everything one needs for comfortable living. I have stayed here many times and it’s my ‘hidden gem’ place to stay.

There is nothing not to like. The staff is very helpful and always on the site. Aibek is a very helpful and kind young man.

The apartment is located in the heart of Almaty's cultural and largely pedestranised area with excellent choice of restaurants, coffee shops and many many fountains that make the summer stay particularly pleasant. The Stolichny supermarket is just across the road with great choice of groceries and what is not. As a family of four with small children we loved the excellently equipped and spacious apartment that allowed us to blend into the city life but yet to have a home away from home and to enjoy the advantages of regular cleaning services provided by the host. The apart-hotel's owner was fully hands on, easy to reach at any point of time and all our requests were promptly addressed and responded to. A small note regarding the apartment block - dont be put off by the soviet era entrance hall, this is a typical "Stalin" era build which is in fact quite grand and robust, once the common entrance is passed the apartment itself is modern and fresh with all the amenities required including air-conditioning, lovely kitchen nook and spacious bathrooms with a washing machine. Fabulous experience all in all.
