The hotel is basic (as expected at this price level), but very clean and the employees are very friendly and helpful. The reception is manned 24/7 and very attentive. The room was fine and had all the necessities. The bathroom was nice, and surprised with great water pressure in the shower. The location is quiet, yet very central. Overall a good deal for the price. There is a Premium fitness center ("KRIDA") almost across the street, which has two great cafes in their lobby, one of them being a Starbucks. The other cafe offers healthy (fitness) food - great for breakfast or lunch. Other POIs in walking distance: "Platform A" (upscale food court), "MEGA PARK" (Shopping Center), "SILKWAY" (Mini Shopping Center, but closer) and endless restaurants and cafes.

The location is good. You have restaurants and touristic places around to visit the area, and it is safe to walk around at night or early in the morning.

They asked for a deposit. However, they gave it back, which it's ok I requested thru booking early check-in, and it was approved. I got the confirmation via email, but the lady in the front desk said it's not possible, so I didn't get an early check-in even though I had the confirmation on my email So keep in mind that if you have approved request for early check-in, they don't accept it, and they ask for money if you want to do an early check-in

Mildom City Hotel in Almaty is a great choice, thanks to its excellent location, which makes it easy to explore the city. The rooms are clean and come equipped with everything you might need during your stay. I appreciated having access to an iron for pressing clothes and a microwave for heating up food, which added a lot of convenience. It's important to note that some rooms do not have windows. These windowless rooms aren’t necessarily worse, however if you plan to spend a lot of time in your room, I would recommend opting for one with a window. Rooms with windows are sunnier and feel fresher, which can make your stay more enjoyable.

We really liked the customer service. The young man at reception (Alken) was fantastic; he was friendly, chatty and helpful. The cleaning staff were also very nice and did a great job. The hotel is in a good location, within walking distance to handy bus routes, and not too far from metro stations. There's a cool food court called Platform A a short distance away. It was good value for money. We liked that they provide free drinking water (both in the rooms and at reception).

The staff at the the hotel were multi-lingual and very helpful. The hotel is clean, safe, professional, international in many ways, and cozy. It is also walking distance from restaurants, main attractions, and the public transportation system (metro and bus). You can walk to most places in Almaty, if you stay at the this hotel and get a lot of help by the extremly considerate staff.

I made a mistake and I did not use the hotel shuttle. You should arrange transportation from the airport via the hotel; they will send you a lot of money.

Once you make a pre-payment for more than 1 night there's no way of getting refund for unused nights although Booking.com assures you that the cancellation is possible at any time and no penalty is mentioned. This mismatch should be corrected here on site and people aren't getting disillusioned. Also be aware of required deposit during check-in, not a big deal but for some this might be inconvenient if not known in advance

The stay was very comfortable. Room was clean. Staff let us check in late as we arrived late from airport early morning. Staff were very kind and helpful. One of the staff helped us set up our yandex account since we were struggling with it due to an error. They can speak a little English but if no you can always use a translator. But overall we loved our stay. Would come again next time.

The room is bigger than I expected. Kettle, bottled water and tea are provided. Room cleaning everyday. Very comfortable and not far from the center.
