The best 5 star hotel. We always stay at Dostyk, whenever we are in Almaty!

The WIFI works, but I wish the connection was much better! Nothing else.

The Staff are excellent. From the well spoken staff at reception, to the room service and wait staff in the restaurant. The reception staff spoke excellent English and they are just the nicest. Excellent breakfast buffet. So many options. The location was good. There was a small grocery store nearby and a bank to withdraw cash.

The fluctuation water temperature in the shower made it impossible to shower. It was either boiling hot or ice cold. This needs to be fixed. Staff need to know where to go for souvenirs. At the moment, nobody knows and sent us to places that didn't have them, which is a big deal when you're short on time.

The hotel is well located. The rooms are spacious with nice bathrooms and the beds are comfortable. The reception team were always fast and helpful. The airport pickup and check-in experience was speedy which is appreciated when you are tired from travelling.

The breakfast was quite basic and didn't really live up to 5 star hotel quality. The hotel is quite dated in its design which I don't mind so much but worth to be aware of.

Nice hotel in a great location. Very nice spa/swimming pool/gym facility. Rooms are a bit outdated but very clean /comfortable and generally quite large with plenty of space.

Breakfast was a bit of a let down, same thing every day and quite bland. One would expect a better option for a 5 star hotel. Hotel is catered towards the airline staff and business travelers so it gets blocked / reserved quite quickly but rooms can become available last minute, so need to continuously check with the hotel about availability or if need to extend your stay, as it always shows fully booked on booking platforms.

The rooms were very clean and the Bed was very comfortable. The spa and the gym were perfect. The Staff at the reception was super, The Lady who checked us in was professional, smiling, helpful, and gave us good guidance as tourists. The Housekeeping staff were very friendly, smiling and did a great job with cleaning of rooms.

The Breakfast was decent but could have been better. For example a nice live counter making eggs, some more option of cereals, yoghurt, etc. And nothing changed in the buffet. So if someone is staying for a few days, then there is noting exciting in the bfast. Nevertheless, it was a decent breakfast.

Kindly staff on reception changed room for another without any additional fee. Everything was perfect. Breakfast, location in centrum of Almaty, spa and swimming pool, comfortable rooms. Host girl in spa was kindly. Curly Sue Suzanne.

Nothing. But I recommended to notify guests (written announcement) to get shower before swimming pool.

great central location, spacious room with a nice view of the mountains; breakfast was decent and the staff at the hotel was friendly and professional.

the shower and bathtub leaked, leaving the bathroom floor dangerously wet and nothing could be done about it; the bathrobes were very old and worn, not at all worthy of a 5-star hotel; the water in the shower was either hot or cold; the lighting system in the room was also very confusing and there were only two small pillows on the bed; loud music in the hallway late at night (i had to call the front desk to turn it off).

Great location, huge, well-appointed room. Breakfast was varied and excellent quality, with espresso drink, meats, cheeses, breads, jams, fruits, vegetables, and a huge assortment of pastries. The hotel arranged airport transportation for a very reasonable rate, and allowed us to check in at 6 AM (and get breakfast) for a reasonable add-on.

The air conditioning didn’t cool the room well. It wasn’t terribly hot, but a little stuffier than I prefer. Thankfully, you could also own the windows.

Great location, breakfast was good, rooms were not retro as we expected however modern and ok for stay, lights were automated and took some time to understand how they work

Second time I stayed in perfectly located Dostyk hotel. Both times it was fine, comfortable and tranquil. The hotel kindly has taken in attention my special requests. Thank you!
