Everything is as it wants, but the cups, bathtub, and towels are not clean enough, and a strange smell comes out of them. Also, when I entered the room, I saw that the room was not finished for a long time, and I informed them and they came to clean it.

We had the most remarkable stay at the Intercontinental Istanbul; a true embodiment of world class hospitality. From the moment we arrived, the reception team exceeded our expectations with their warm and seamless welcome. A special note of appreciation to the breakfast team, whose spontaneous charm and brilliant service made each morning a delight. Their genuine friendliness added a personal touch that set the perfect tone for our days. I would also like to thank Ugur from the concierge team, whose courtesy and deep knowledge of Istanbul’s hidden gems helped us explore the city in the most memorable way. Our journey wouldn’t have been the same without his insightful recommendations. Another standout experience was at Sanitas Spa, where Zeneyb provided a truly unforgettable wellness journey a moment of serenity and indulgence that will be long remembered. To top it all off, the City Lights Bar at the rooftop offered breathtaking views of Istanbul’s skyline, paired with an exquisite fusion of Asian-Japanese cuisine; a perfect setting for our special moments. The location is great, directly at Gezi park and Taksim Square, you can walk almost everywhere from there. There is great public transport as well as many food options. Staff is super friendly, the service is outstanding. The breakfast is amazing with lots of options from all over the world. The rooms are great, the beds are super comfy. Every room has ceiling to floor windows with great views of the city or the Bosphorus.

The windows are not completely sound proof, you can hear the street noise even on the higher floors. I'm not a light sleeper so it didn't bother me. If you are sensitive to heat, maybe don't visit the hotel during the winter: the heating was on everywhere and as someone from a cold country, who is used to the cold, it was a little obsessive and I felt hot most of the time.

Loved the grandeur and the size of the property. Very good staff, great facilities.

Food was not at all up to the mark. Ordered a couple of times and we were disappointed both times. We asked for an early check at around 12, we were told to wait for 30 mins and the room was almost ready, at 1 pm i was told again 30 mins.In the end, we ended up checking in at the usual check in time of 1400. Had to order via food delivery one evening as we were tired and had an early morning flight, was surprised to hear that they charge for empty plates. I was a bit shocked. Overall met expectations apart from the small hiccups.

When the service was good, it was very good, but the key issue for this Hotel to address is the consistency of the service - I could give many examples, but the most obvious occurred at the buffet breakfast where there were huge difference in cleanliness, attention, help and attitude amongst the staff members across the 5 days I ate breakfast. This was also tru about the room housekeeping and I could go on.

The Concierge service provided by Ungur was exceptional. If rating the hotel just on Ungur's professionalism and support it would be 10 without hesitation. He is an excellent professional. Knowledgeable and extremely helpful. Hotel location near Taksim is superbly situated. Pool is excellent.

Frontdesk. Had an issue with the room and had to contact them 3 times over 2 hours to try to get action. Also be prepared for a daily deposit exceeding the one advertised on Booking. We had a 450 Euro deposit on check-in for a 4 days stay. No issue with a deposit, however it should be more transparent. Booking stated 200 in total, so surprised to see 450 provisioned, and had to get clarification after noticing. Hamman was not working unfortunately. My wife reported it to the SPA, but she should have been informed before entering. The breakfast is good, excellent choice, but the service was a little disappointing. It is very busy, so go early. You will need to go to the staff to get their attention.

Very clean. Excellent spread at breakfast. Well appointed area. Close to the Metro and no crossing of roads required from Taksim Square.

Mostly good. Conditioner in Bathroom was not refilled on arriving. No shower caps in bathroom. Shower glass door too small for the tub. Water exits the shower and ends up making the floor very wet. Other than the above all in order.

Clean and central

Usually staff at check in are very welcoming and provide upgrades for regular clients . The lady who checked me in was rude even though I was a hotel regular customer. Disappointing check in . Staff at the terrace and shisha always nice and welcoming

Very spacious and comfortable room! Stunning view of the Bosphorus! We booked a non-smoking room and it was non-smoking! I have allergies and I felt absolutely calm in this hotel, very good air on the entire floor. We were upgraded to a business room for free and I really liked this room. We had a nice living area to work and a sleeping area, which was very comfortable. Very nice bathroom cosmetics, slippers and towels. The bar on the terrace where we had dinner also had a great view and very tasty ramen. I also visited the SPA center and the massage was wonderful.

The spa staff were very helpful. But the young man at the SPA center was quite slow when calculating.
