It was a very clean and comfortable room. It was so close to East Midlands airport. Even though it was close to the airport, we didn’t get any noise from the planes landing or taking off. The included breakfast was very good. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I didn’t have any toothpaste, however, I was able to get a small tube and toothbrush from the hotel for free.

We landed very early morning at the airport and could not find the bus that stopped close to the hotel even though the hotel website stated that it ran 24/7. In the end we got a taxi, which cost us £15 for a 5 minute ride. I know that this is not under control of the hotel but it is worth noting.

Staff all excellent. Very welcoming, efficient, accommodating, and motivated. A credit to your company. Room spacious and comfortable. Breakfast is good, quality meat products. Self-service was easy and was good not to have to wait as we often run to a schedule. Room had air con which was needed. Ample parking for our car with trailer. Good proximity to donnington race track. All facilities are in the room. Including hairdryer iron board and full-length mirror. The pizza in the restaurant was excellent. Free drinking water on bar a nice touch. Took no time to order and prepare. I Like all the energy environmental measures. May have scored 10 but for the lift/staff problems but will definitely stay here again.

Lift was broken so lots of stairs to climb. Short staffed so very limited menu in restaurant . Despite this staff still motivated and pleasant. Complimentary drink to compensate would have been appropriate and appreciated Needed more milk and coffee on hospitality tray. Unable to connect to wifi in room 224. No magnifying mirror for make up/shaving. No eating places within walking distance

The included Breskfast was excellent. Excellent choice - something for everyone. Delicious cooked food & buffet offered.

The Expensive fish & chip evening meal was dreadful Paid £17.99 each for the small curled both ends 7inch max fish, with few chips & peas. The fish was so dry & part too dry to eat. When asked if meal was satisfactory, despite explaining our disappointment, no recompense, other than hint of apology. Will never have our favourite meal there again. We usually pay 9.99 for same size as a lite bite that is delicious elsewhere. Very disappointing expensive evening meal.

HELLO, Excellent staff very friendly and helpful and welcoming. Morning breakfast had options available a Continental breakfast and a hot breakfast. The reception area is spacious and has a sitting area and a bar to order drinks and they had a vending machine for cold drinks and snacks.My room is amazing a spacious room a big bathroom and washing products available. And also provide tea bags and instant coffee sachets for guests to use during their stay. It was my first time staying at a "Holiday Inn Express Hotel"!!. I was very impressed . Thank-you for making my stay memorable.

The room was not huge but well designed. Bed was very comfortable - not too soft. I asked for a quiet room and got it. Considering that the hotel is near a main road and the airport, the sound insulation worked really well - I never heard any external noise at all. Breakfast was good, with a decent selection.

The dinner menu was disappointing; I ended up having the lasagne on both evenings, since the rest of the menu didn't appeal. I suppose it's completely adequate if you're only there for the one night, before flying off the next day.

The room was standard but fine and fully equipped. Breakfast was good with something for everyone.

We ate in the evening from the standard menu. My wife had the vegetarian pie which left her with indigestion for the whole evening. I had the beef steak pie, the crust of which was dry and hard. The following morning the day manager, on hearing this as we checked out was very sympathetic and anxious to rectify the feeling we had, and gave us a full refund. His customer service was EXEMPLARY!

Everything was great. Clean, comfortable, lovely staff and great breakfast with lots of choice. No noise at all from the airport. Easy 20 min walk from Arrivals. Just go down to the petrol station, turn left onto Beverley Road ( just google map it) and follow the road right around. If it was raining you could also jump on the Skylink bus which runs regularly and stops outside the hotel. We got it back to Derby train station in the morning and it was only £3 each. Would definitely use this hotel again :)

Excellent check in thanks to the young man on reception who clearly enjoys his work and is extremely good at it. Well done to him. Room was spotless with everything we needed for our short stay. Excellent value for money. We didn’t make breakfast but given it was included in the price the menu looked great value.

Only two small points - food wasn’t available after 9 pm apart from a very limited room menu - mainly pizza. Main issue for us was a basic error often made, in that double quilts are used on a double bed leaving them very short when two adults (not overweight I might add as god help anyone who is) are in bed and ‘dare’ to turn over…… I had to get a bath towel half way through the night to cover the gap on my side of the bed as I felt quite cold. My personal rule of thumb has always been - a quilt size “larger” than the bed must be used.

Helpful, attentive staff and clean and tidy room. Usual high level of service from our multiple stays.

Prior to our visit the lift had been out of use for a number of days. We had booked an accessible room in view of the mobility problems that my wife suffers. It was only on arrival that we were informed of the problem. It would have been prudent to have contacted(prior to arrival) all persons who had booked such accommodation and this was. Given as constructive feedback.

Breakfast excellent lots of choice, had a lovely toastie sandwich on arrival. Nice setting, rooms very well equipped especially the iron, shower amazing and beds so comfy slept well. Got checked in early. Staff excellent, polite, very helpful especially when we where panicking about our daughter driving in and out to pick us up drop us off for her graduation? Parking ticket. Staff advised few mins drop off grace allowed. Again staff giving directions and travel methods back to airport. Would definitely return and certainly recommend.

Tiled floors in reception and food area a bit sticky to walk on, possibly too much detergent.
