I had a really great stay at Holiday Inn Express Swindon West and would definitely come back again. From the moment I checked in, everything felt smooth and easy. The staff at the reception were friendly and welcoming, which made a good first impression. The rooms were spotless and well looked after, with cleaning done regularly, so it always felt fresh coming back after a day out. The bed was comfortable and the space had everything I needed for a relaxing stay. Breakfast was honestly one of the highlights. The food was delicious with plenty of choice to suit everyone. Even though the breakfast area was really busy in the mornings, the service was excellent – the waiters and staff handled the rush so well that everything kept moving without stress. They were cheerful, helpful, and made the whole experience enjoyable. What I really appreciated was how organized everything was, even when the hotel was full. It’s the little details like this that make a big difference. The location is also very convenient – right by the M4 – which makes it easy to get around, but still quiet enough to have a good night’s rest. Overall, a clean, comfortable, and well-run hotel with a great team. Definitely staying here again next time I’m in the area.

The breakfast was lovely and there was a good variety. It was a nice gesture leaving the toy aeroplane on our bed as it was the RIAT weekend. The parking was excellent and made loading and unloading easy.

The fact the room is on an upper floor bearing in mind its an accessible room does pose issues if the lift was out of order or there was an emergency. The room itself was good although the ability to move the bed so that I could get into the bed easier as I can only get in on the left side due to my disability. The shower was very poor and needed looking at so that there was a better stream

The room was big and spacious and like the big disabled shower where I just walk in. I like the breakfast start early and I was able to eat before I went as I was going straight to work and I was allowed to take my breakfast to my room. I like that you provided good shower gels and shampoo with known brands and didn't have to wonder what type of product they were and you had notes on the wall in the bathroom which tells the guest that if they require any toothbrush and face cloth etc they can ask at the front desk.

I wish there was a telephone in the room to speak to the people at the front desk should I need anything or ask something rather than have to go down.

I must mention Victor, who was on reception when I arrived. My travel from Canada had changed unexpectedly at short notice (work booked me on an earlier flight) and so I arrived too early for the 'proper' check-in time. Victor was brilliant; he understood my situation and how tired I was after my overnight flight. He managed to sort a room for me with an early check-in, which was an absolute life-saver for me. Because of this, I will be using this hotel in the future, rather than any alternative, and I will be recommending to others, also. Thanks Victor! A very happy customer!

Convenient location just off the motorway (M4). Comfortable room and good breakfast. Evening meal very nice curry). Excellent, very large accessible room with great bathroom (wet-room) with safe floor. (Rough floor, not glossy, slippery marble tiles as in many hotels). The only drawback for disabled guests is the shortage of accessible parking. As I arrived quite early this time I was lucky. On other occasions, when arriving later, I have been unable to park in a suitable bay which is very distressing.

The reception and food serving staff where very polite and welcoming. Working hard and giving great first impressions, they were also very lovely to my teenage son who came down to order some food

Most of the chamber maids were lovely, but one on arrival, floor 2 at about 2:30 was very rude, my daughter and husband asked for an additional pillow, she bluntly and rudely said no and waved a pillow case at them to take. Very unpleasant. My husband then went to reception who, within 15 mins had brought one up to us.

The hotel offers all the services that you would need for a short stay. The room is big, with all facilities, so you don't require much with you. They offer a buffet breakfast, with many different choices. The staff was very kind and helpful. They also have free car parking.

The position is not the best but acceptable for a short stay. Even if you have many choices for breakfast, the quality is not great, even the coffee was not very good. They could improve the soundproofing of the bedrooms, and leave some additional blankets less heavy than the duvet.

I travel with my son so I was very happy with the two single beds which was very comfortable also the choice of pillows offer (soft or firm ) . The provision of good quality hair, hand & body wash . I was also happy I didn't have to travel with towels and the choice of how long we could use them. The breakfast was very good and enough to have seconds,the variety & also gluten free alternative.

I found the staff was polite & did their jobs well but I did not find them friendly. I had booked my stay with you in advance but was very disappointed to find the my booking was not in the system so had to wait nervously while the staff find it and then was offered no explanation. It annoyed me.

Ideal location for our trip. Excellent breakfast with good choices. Friendly, efficient staff. Bed & pillows comfortable. The room we were allocated on arrival had a wet room with shower, toilet and basin - lots of useful shelves & good shower.

Room storage space ok for one night but not longer. I believe this room was intended for disabled persons so most of room was wheelchair friendly open space. Found the room & bathroom cold (in mid January) - have never liked the warm air heating in IHG rooms, too slow to respond to needs and motor very annoying as noisy.

Location was good, easy access, plenty of parking. Staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Large dining room, and small adjacent bar. Good option was to order take away meals. The on-site restaurant was closed, but that turned out to be a bonus. Cocktails were great. Lifts were very handy.

Next time I would request a room on the opposite side away from the main road as there was road nice from 4am. Cooked breakfast and cereal was available, but I was very disappointed with the quality of food, and not hot enough. Cereal muesli was poor, no fried eggs (scrambled egg was dry). Real fruit juice would be a big improvement on the weak flavoured drinks currently being served. Toast and preserves saved the day! The heat/aircon unit in the room was a pain, as it could not be turned off completely, the unit kept turning itself back on again (blowing air and making a din) a few second after TURN OFF was selected.
