The hostel location is in the center of Luang Prabang old town. just 2 2-minute walk to the morning market where you can find nice food. 3 minute walk to see the Monk Alms Giving Procession, A lot of local cafes in front of the hostel, just next to the Mekong River. the staff is very nice. if you like something quiet, this is a good place

stairs. it is probably not everyone's problem. I have a leg problem, so going up and down stairs can be challenging. The breakfast is not much of an option, particularly for the vegan or halal person. But the morning market is just two minutes walk, you can find the best coffee and pastry shop there

This is a property I found a bit hard to explain in a review and although our stay could have been better one has to take into account that it is a traditional old building, nicely restored, with it’s charms and a few areas in need of improvement. ROOM: The picture of the room we booked seemed a bit larger than what it really was in person but we quickly adapted. We did find other nearby properties that offered larger, nicer rooms for less but were not in Booking, only the locals know about them. BATHROOMS: The bathrooms could use a bit of help but for our short stay we overlooked a few things we normally wouldn’t. The water pressure was quite low but this wasn’t an issue for us. LOCATION: This property for me was conveniently located close to a beautiful temple, restaurants, boat rides, and both the day and night market which were a big plus for me. TRAVEL SEASON: On the other hand, we were there the second week after their New Year, so a very busy season for the area which made for a lack of room availability, room/value price being higher than normal for that area, and quite a bit of street noise. Having said this; previous guests had complained about road noise and how the room walls were not that thick. I understood that it was an old building and when they remodeled maybe it was hard to make these accommodations, so we found out that if you turn both the fan and the AC, noise level goes down a bit. Yes, you will still hear your neighbors and they will hear you; but most people we encountered in that property were mindful of the noise and did their best to stay on the quieter side. STAFF: The staff, was welcoming upon check in and check out but outside of that they kept mostly on their phones and to themselves. BREAKFAST: They offer a menu of both traditional and European and although we payed for breakfast everyday, we only had it 2 out of our 5 day stay.

The property is situated on the Mekong riverfront. The room is large enough for two guests, and the woodwork adds a nice touch. The bed was comfortable—I felt right at home! Overall, it was a great stay. The property is located on the Mekong riverfront, within walking distance of temples, the museum, and both the night and morning markets. There are plenty of great places to eat nearby. Lastly, a big shoutout to Kuan, the manager—he was amazing! He guided us with all our travel plans and helped with our train tickets.

The breakfast is outsourced to one of the river front restaurants, the spread needs a little more options. Otherwise, all was good. No complaints!

This hotel is ideally situated, making it incredibly convenient to explore the city. The staff was warm and welcoming, fluent in English, and always eager to assist with any needs. The hotel offers a variety of services that made my stay even more enjoyable. It’s located near several great bars and restaurants, so dining and nightlife are just steps away. The breakfast spread was delightful, and the room was spotless and comfortable. Highly recommend for anyone visiting the area!

The service is great. Even though I am a difficult person, the staff really fulfilled al the wishes, responded to al my request, helped me a lot with trips and other things, and made sure my desires were fulfilled al the time. The hotel is very nice, with a nice courtyard where you can enjoy water, coffee, tea and use the wifi. The hotel is calm, on the riversude of the Mekong and services, interesting places and for example the food market are very nearby. I recommend this hotel very much, although one should take in consideration that the hotels you will find in Luang Prabang are in general not like the hotels you will find in Europe. However, there are a lot of hotels in Europe who do not meet the standards of the Dear Villa Hotel in Laung Prabang.

No complaints. Of course the temperature in this region is quite warm, especially between 13 en 16. Airco is present, but using it during the night gives a rumor you will get to use to.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Its location is unbeatable, with many bars and restaurants just a short walk away. The staff is exceptionally friendly and fluent in English, making it easy to get all the information I needed. There’s a great selection of services available, which made my visit even better. The breakfast was tasty, and the room was pristine. If you’re looking for a great spot to stay with excellent service, this is the place!

This hotel truly made my stay unforgettable. The rooms were spotless and offered a warm, inviting atmosphere. The breakfast served each morning was delicious, with a variety of options to suit every taste. The staff was incredibly friendly, always ready to assist with any request , The location was perfect, offering easy access to major attractions. The hot water in the shower worked perfectly, ensuring a comfortable experience throughout my stay.

Location was excellent and i went on long walks around the town. They were very helpful with organising my departure by bus and also trips to waterfall etc. Free water from a cooler was a big bonus and you can just refill your bottle anytime. Kwa the manager was very helpful. There is a good coffee shop and bakery a few door down open 6.00am to 3.00pm.

There is only one option for a vegetarian which is scrambled eggs and bread. But there are other places nearby with other food so it was not a big issue.
