I like everything about it. Its situation with the morning market at its door step, the always smiling and attending staff. Can't fault it really.

It's not that I didn't like it, breakfast wise that is. I can't understand why give a powdered swiss brand of coffee in sachet, when there is Lao coffee for sale at every corner ? An investment in a coffee percolator should be considered. Ah, a hint about making soft boiled eggs: 3 minutes are enough and pour cold water after cooking to stop the yoke still hardening.. But, hey, I liked all the rest.. and the eggs.

Very nice room, very clean, could not be better located in the very city center (but also very quiet!!), friendly staff and great breakfast on the terrace!

Tours and other bookings (eg train tickets) proposed by the hotel are too expensive, but accommodation was perfect!

The staff were so lovely and accommodating at the property! They were so helpful at the front desk and had very helpful recommendations for restaurants and attractions, and were able to book tours and onward travel for you. We also did our laundry during our stay which was very easy, and it all came back perfectly folded. The location was perfect for exploring the town. The breakfast was also lovely and so good to be included in the price, considering the stay was already so affordable!

There was nothing to dislike during our stay!

Golden Lotus is perfectly located on a tiny little side street off the main road. Very walkable to most of LP including restaurants, museums, temples, and both rivers. Friendly staff always available. Good breakfast included. Laundry, scooters, train tickets, and van transfers are all available with advanced reservation. Comfortable king bed. Strong AC. Really nice wood floors that are fun to walk on barefoot. Morning and evening local markets on this side street right outside Golden Lotus are very different than the big night markets on the main street blocks away. Think old/local (fruits, veggies, small animal meats) vs. new/touristy (shirts, jewelries, etc). Golden Lotus is ideal for both options and a few blocks away from the busy but fun night food market. If we're lucky enough to visit LP again in the future, we would again choose Golden Lotus for 3-4 nights. And the airport pickup we arranged for LPQ was perfect! Private transfer from hotel to train station arranged through hotel ended up being 5 hotels stops and 13 passengers, so we'd recommend hiring a small taxi directly from the street. Tuk tuk also an option, but the voyage is fairly long and a little bumpy.

We loved our stay at this hotel. The owners were so helpful and welcoming. They also booked our train to Vientiane for us (it’s a bit complicated if you’re not local) which was great! The room was spotless with strong aircon and good wifi. Having breakfast included was a nice perk too. Also the location is perfect! Just off the main road where the night market is each night and the morning market is directly outside each morning. Main attractions all walkable. Just note that Google maps sends you to the wrong hotel so make sure you put in the address directly, it’s called ‘Golden Lotus Place’ on google (it’s two minutes into the night market from the big junction then left). Overall we loved this place and would definitely stay again. Thank you for having us!

this little gem was nicely tucked away within a tiny soi , where early morning market was happening Lisa from reception is a true star of this place , from early morning till late at night she make sure guest are looked after The location is realy the best asset of this place , close to everthing Breakfast is basic but tasty , the bed was awesome never slept so good in Asia everthing within walking distance regarding sight seeing , a good 30 min drive from the waterfall Lisa Thank You again for everything

Location Location Location, very clean and very nice staff. Location Location Location. The morning Market is outside the hotel. The night market is around the corner. One of the main Buddhist monasteries is across the street - easy less than 1 minute walk to witness the monk alm procession in the morning aroun 5:30-6:30 am. There are no bars or night clubs nearby. The place is super quiet. The room we booked, second floor with windows, was very comfy, super clean and quite roomy for a small B&B. The staff was very accommodating and the breakfast was good. We stayed here for 6 nights. The use of Google Translate comes handy sometimes. Otherwise, speak slowly.

Best pancake ever for breakfast! The room was nice and clean, with many amenities which are rare to find in Laos while travelling on a budget. The Hotel is inside the Morning Market but our room was silent enough to rest well.

The room was silent because it was on the rear and had no real windows. Breakfast is included but it is served outside under the porch, it was really cold around 7.30/8am.

Great location, right in the night market and short walking distance to all attractions. Lisa was incredibly helpful in booking tours and transfers. Was made to feel so welcome. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful with good western options. Stay here if you like a good traditional “homely” environment at a great price. I certainly hope to visit again with my family!

Wifi was a little slow in my room, but that may have been very localised. Was fine everywhere else.

Excellent location, close to the night markets and close to the Mekong for cruises. A cool thing is that there is a fresh food market each morning along the lane on which the Golden Lotus is situated, you can sit on the hotel’s verandah have breakfast and watch the proceedings. It’s a genuine, ie not touristy market, the locals go there to buy their fruit and veggies and meat. People in charge are super helpful, fast train tickets, SIM cards, laundry, boat trip tickets, all happen effortlessly.
