The hotel is nice and new, in a good position. Breakfast was great, also with gluten free options.

During our stay, due to repair works to the water supply networks we were informed with a note on the hallway door with very small writing that there would be no water available for about 12 hours. In the end fortunately we had no problems, but if we had not been informed by another guest of the hotel, we would not have known anything (being out in the city all day). I would recommend sending an email or message to the guests if this were to happen again.

Very good location, short walk to old town. Rooms nice and new, and very clean. Toilet was also very nice. Having a drinking water fountain on each floor with sparkling water was great. Beds were comfortable. Good value for money.

Not a complaint per se since it was in the listing, but the rooms are really quite small and could be hard to move around in. Air conditioning didn't work very well, we adjusted the temperature down but it just never seemed to cool down. We were travelling in summer and this was not fun. The lighting was a bit strange. There were too many switches, made it a bit unnecessarily complicated.

The room was immaculately clean and well-maintained; everything seemed new and so beautifully designed! The light fixtures were exquisite, and the green velvet bench was gorgeous. I had possibly the best shower of my life at Aston Hotel; I stepped out feeling unbelievably relaxed and refreshed. The bed was also quite comfortable, and it was very easy to regulate the temperature.

Genuinely the worst staff I have encountered. They could not answer simple questions and acted like I was a bother every time I approached them, including for check-in and check-out. The same can be said about the service staff in the restaurant; it was almost laughable how poorly I was treated. Although this is my only complaint, it was bad enough that it nearly soured my whole experience.

Hotel was nice and comfortable, beds were comfy, shower was excellent, nice toiletries, quiet at night, tv with a few channels in English which is nice to watch something other than BBC. There is a nice restaurant on the roof with a patio. This hotel is about a 7 minute walk from the freedom monument, then another 5 probably to the heart of old town. It's a 20 min walk from the central train station, almost a straight shot down the road.

The room was kind of small but that doesn't really matter to me. The distance of the hotel was farther than I wanted initially, but it was fine in the end. Bolt helps get you places when you don't feel like walking.

A very authentic and beautifully designed hotel in Riga – really impressive concept, room quality, and overall design. The breakfast was delicious and a highlight.

However, there are a couple of things that could be improved: the floor in the breakfast room was slippery and creaky, and although we mentioned it to the staff, it was ignored. Also, our guests who came only for breakfast (and paid extra) didn’t receive any guidance on what was available or where to go, which felt a bit unwelcoming. Other than that, a wonderful stay and highly recommended!

The hotel and room were stylish and modern — everything felt thoughtfully designed and highly functional. All the essentials were well covered (unlimited complimentary drinking water and a generous supply of toiletries were a nice touch). And the beds? Exceptionally comfortable — the kind that make you question your own mattress at home. Breakfast? Excellent. Tasty, varied, and surprisingly impressive for the price range. All in all, a fantastic experience at a very reasonable cost. Warmly recommended — we'd happily come back (and probably overeat at breakfast again).

Location was very good, walking distance to a lot of sites. Rooms were very nicely set, clean and tidy. Breakfast was very good and you could find a variety of things to eat. Bathroom was very nice and clean.

If you happen to get a room on the street side, you will not be able to sleep at night. Insulation is very bad on the street part of the hotel. AC can not be set to more than 22 degrees celsius. Reception is on the second floor, you enter the building and don't know for sure you're in the right place :).

Aston Hotel Riga is a very nice hotel that exceeded our expectations. Husband and I were traveling around Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, and Finland and this was by far our favorite hotel. Front desk staff was friendly, parking is easy with lots of room. Our room was very clean and beautifully decorated with a modern and luxurious feel. Our bed and pillow was just how we liked it. Breakfast was amazing with an incredible spread! The leisure walk into the middle of Riga is nice walking past beautiful structures and monuments. We travel approximately 12-15 times a year and this hotel has to be one of the best European hotels we've stayed at. It definitely left a lasting impression with my husband and I.

The room was spacious and had heating which you could adjust the temperature as you'd like.

The bed and pillows were not very comfortable, and even though you could adjust the temperature, the lowest it would go was 17°C, which was still very hot inside the room and we had trouble sleeping at night. Additionally, there was not much food variety in the breakfast buffet and most of the things available were not fresh (we mostly didn't like the cooked bacon, it was very hard to eat). Also, we would definitely prefer some fresh juice instead of just packaged juice.

The property was fantastically located. The room design was lovely and really stylish. The room felt cosy and was a nice retreat in the cold weather. The room felt spacious and was really clean. We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel and would recommend to others.

There was no window to open in the room which would have been nice. It would have been nice to have had a small fridge to store water as this was then warm in the room. The TV also wasn’t very functional so we couldn’t connect to our device or access any platform such as Netflix which was unusual for a smart tv. The hotel also advertises that the walls/ rooms are soundproof, but at night we could hear neighbouring rooms coming back to the room/ shutting doors and general movement.
