Great location - just 10 minutes from the central bus station, also very close to the old town and various attractions. The room is quite spacious, the bed is comfortable, there was also a wardrobe and a table, which made it more comfortable to settle in (I spent five nights here). The check-in and check-out procedure is easy, the staff is helpful and speaks excellent English. There are a lot of restaurants and shops nearby.

Breakfast is a bit tasteless, although there is a choice of what to eat. Rooms are cleaned on the fourth day of stay (in my case it was not cleaned, maybe because I had to check out the next day when it was time). The area itself is a bit noisy and busy but it's understandable.

Excellently located near the train station, various bus and tram stops, shops nearby and line 22 (airport bus) is at walking distance (if you're not disabled because of the pedestrian tunnels/stairs) to cross the busy streets. We arrived by the airport bus, voor weer die notice a parking garage veel nearby, though 15 euros for 24 hours. The hotel is a real IBIS hotel, like we had experienced before in Tallinn. Everything is organised well. There are two elevators, knowing where the second is, evades busy line ups with new guests with suitcases and goes directly to the breakfast rooms below level as well The most exceptional -which I never ever experienced in any hotel(!)- were the very nice long blankets. I'm pretty tall at 1.96m and that usually means either cold feet or 'fold yourself' to be fully covered up. Bus this blanket I was able to fold back under my feet and still have the top to my neck. Very rare, but very very welcome! Also the breakfast is excellent: there's a wide variety of choice and prepared freshly daily. Sufficient refills and the staff really works their bum off. We stayed four days and three days there were groups making the breakfast line busy and crowded, but the staff managed very well. Tip: 07:00-08:00 is supposed to be the less busiest moment, but we noticed that around 08:30 it was more quiet and usually almost no line. We were on the fifth floor, on the rear, there's not much of a view there, but there's also no noise other than guests trailing the hallways now and then. We had quiet nights. And oh, yes, the room is spacious enough, also a nice detail. Another details is the decoration, on the headboard wall was a chess board in close up and featured a round 6 of something chess situation of stone grandmasters. I guess, not sure, every room has their own chessboard situation, nice touch!

A good thing: you can put a card on the door if your room of you want or cleaned when staying multiple days. Me and my daughter aren't very messy, so we didn't need cleaning and were fine with what was offered. The only thing was that we had over roll off toilet paper installed and one spare. That turned out to be a little tricky the last night, but I'm sure if I'd gone to reception they would gladly have given me additional lavatory paper. Just wish we had one more to begin with. 😉

Big comfortable beds, powerful shower, great location just around the corner from the station and a 5-10 minute walk to old town

The hotel states air-conditioning in the room, but upon entering our stiflingly hot room, we kept getting an error code trying to work the AC. Reported to reception to be told the AC is not turned on until summer (we stayed last week of May). The windows are locked but housekeeping will open them if requested. I think if AC is listed as a facility of the room, the dates it’s actually working should be stated. I felt a little cheated as this was one of the reasons I booked with the hotel.

Great location - right in the heart of Vecriga (old Riga), and super convenient to do a walking tour to all the must-see sights. Right next to the train station, a big shopping centre and cineplex too. The staff is wonderful and very helpful, kindly accommodated my ask for a late checkout. The room was amply sized, bigger than most other Ibis hotels I've been to, comfy beds (on the firmer side which I prefer) and pillows, and a nice shower.

Limited food options and nothing vegan, but didn't expect anything more being Ibis. (Didn't have the breakfast.) Floor was a bit creaky, and no sound proofing - corridor sounds can be a bit loud.

I was VERY satisfied with my stay at the hotel. Almost everything met my expectations. The location is excellent. The breakfast was complete, fresh, and delicious. The professional Staff were outstanding at all levels – reception, dining, and housekeeping. Moreover, the staff speak in a few languages and are always ready to help. The dining area is clean, and everything is at a high level.

The only downside, however, was the floor. While it wasn’t a critical issue for me, the floor made terribly loud and unpleasant noises when walking.

What I liked: -Location: The hotel is ideally situated directly across from Riga’s Central Railway Station, making it incredibly convenient for travel. It’s also just a 500-meter walk to the Old Town and the Latvian National Opera, allowing easy exploration of the city’s cultural sites. -Reception: The staff at the reception were welcoming and efficient, ensuring a smooth check-in and providing helpful information about local attractions. -Price: Considering its prime location and amenities, the room rates were very reasonable, offering great value for money. -Cleanliness and Comfort: The room was spotless and well-maintained, featuring modern decor, a comfortable bed, and amenities like a flat-screen TV and free Wi-Fi. -Cuisine and Breakfast: The hotel offers a restaurant serving light meals, which is convenient for guests arriving at various times. While I didn’t dine extensively, the option is appreciated for its convenience.

Great location, nice staff and ok breakfast. It's clean and meets the description on the booking.

The room seemed to not be fully stoked before arrival. The shower soup was nearly empty and there was one small roll of toilet paper with no backup. The hotel offers housekeeping every 4 days only so this may be a problem(you can request it on the reception anytime but it would have been nice to have everything fully stocked before arrival). A bit noisy at times with bad isolation, I could hear people walking pass in the hall.

The room was a great size, the bed was very comfortable very close to the train and bus station and only a 5 minute walk to the old town Lady on a he desk in the morning was really helpful finding which train I was needed for my onward journey

Was left waiting for 10 minutes to check in before someone turned up to help The air conditioning was only on once put card in holder so room very stuffy and took a very long time to cool down No instructions on how to use tv and room could do with a little bit of a refurbishment as showing its age

The room was quite spacious and had a lovely big window and plenty of space for our suitcases to lie out. The breakfast had a nice variety, though very European, and the staff were lovely and friendly. The location couldn't have been better really - right across the road from a supermarket and shopping centre, McDonalds on the corner, and only a few minutes easy walk into the town for all the restaurants and shops etc. It was ideal for our purposes.

The window opened onto a courtyard and a group of drunken men stayed out there one night making a ruckus until about 4am. We had no aircon working in the room so needed the window open and it ended up being a horrendous nights sleep.

Staff and management is very kind, sorted out all our requests. Thank you! Cozy and quiet room (although floor boards made a little noise). Central location, very close to train station, bus station, large supermarket, and old town. Great breakfast (much more variety than anticipated), real coffee! Breakfast area might be crowded some days, but not during our stay. Clean.

No fridge inside the room.
