This hotel is in the best location. Directly in the old town and attractions, cafes etc across the road from the bus 22 that takes you directly to and from the airport. Across the road from c egg real markets. Not going to find a better place. Rooms comfortable , spotless, great shower pressure, plentiful breakfast. Lovely staff . Thank you

Our stay was perfect

LOCATION for the traveller, just a fifteen minute walk from the main bus station or eight from the airport bus (22) bus stop. Easy to find. CHARACTER a quirky, comfortable homely feel to the place BREAKFAST an adequate buffet of hot and cold foods, including salads (my wife enjoyed those particularly), pancakes, and porridge

room 331 has a double bed but there are less than twelve inches between the bed frame and the walls on either side. Also, the bed is as low as a futon so it is VERY hard to get up and out of the bed itself. The room was clean and comfortable and the bathroom delightful

excellent location and value for money. Our room had everything we needed for a short trip and it was very warm in the winter months. Staff were friendly and the pancakes at breakfast were delicious.

Located in a quiet alley in the old town we found this to be a charming place with maximalist interiors , a very good breakfast , and a friendly staff.

The location was great, near the old town but there was also the central market place and Origo shopping center near. Getting around was easy, since the central train station was near and a public transportation bus from the airport got you just 5 min walk away from the hotel. The staff was helpful and enabled an early check-in although it’s the high season. The ability to have breakfast at the outside terrace was a plus.

The hotel restaurant is really small and during breakfast it was difficult to move around at the restaurant. The coffee maker was slow and taking into account the small space, it was a little uncomfortable. Also the service at the terrace wasn’t at it’s best, the staff didn’t see if there were any customer and you needed to go inside to get served.

Good location, old style but comfortable

Cute, quirky hotel. It met all our needs. Excellent location. Located in the old town, convenient access to Old Town sites, central market, bus station and step to bus stop for bus that runs to Airport. We had a Jr Suite, room was spacious, bed was super comfy and good size bathroom. This hotel isn't shiny and new but we loved the old time character of the furnishing in the room and in the lobby and halls. Breakfast had a good selection to fill you up for a day of sightseeing

My favourite thing about the hotel was the location. Under 10 minutes walk to the local Riga market, coach station (which we used to and from), main sites and scenes of the old town. The room in the hotel itself had everything that you would want for a 2 night stay. A massive bed, bath, seating, storage. It was great for what we needed. The breakfast had a variety of foods available - toast, cereal, hot foods, hot drinks, juices, local cuisine. And the space where you had breakfast was rather cool - it was underground with stone walls!

The only thing I can think of is one day we went to have dinner at the hotel restaurant. This was around 8pm, but we got told only drinks were being served.

The room was quite large and clean with big windows. The bed was comfortable and it was quiet (especially with double windows to the street). The staff were lovely and the breakfast was good. The location was excellent - right at the edge of the old town, near the bus stop for the airport bus (No. 22), and a few minutes walk from the bus and train stations.

I probably would not have written anything here if the hotel wasn't vastly overrated as 4-star (on booking.com anyway). It was fine and comfortable but more like 2.5-stars, imo. My reasons: Impossible to sit on the toilet without the lid falling onto your back, Poor quality liquid soap and no shampoo or body lotion, Small and tired looking shower, Thin towels with threads hanging off them, A small stereo cd player! A old style tube tv, Only two teabags provided - no coffee or milk (description says kettle and a tea/coffee maker), the "juice" at breakfast was low quality, whereas the rest of the breakfast was pretty good.
