The deluxe double room with 4 poster bed overlooking the square with views of the famous cat house and churches was really nice. Excellent location in the heart of old town. The bed was comfortable. All three ladies I encountered on the reception/bar while I was there were absolutely lovely.

The two tiny 30ml bottles of hair/body wash were of a poor quality and far too small. The shower saturated the bathroom floor as the seal was broken on the door which could lead to someone having a nasty fall. The room was also quite cold at times even with having the heating on. The hairdryer was terrible. One of those ones you have to constantly press down hard for it to work causing cramps etc. There was no nozzle either.

When I arrived, I was graciously welcomed by the staff member Vsevolods. He got me checked in, explained everything and was incredibly nice. I immediately knew I was going to have a wonderful time. The hotel itself is so beautiful on the inside with its interior design and all the little details. There is a small lobby with a couch near the elevator that you can sit down in but the service is so quick that you don't need to wait at all. The hotel is accessible to anyone disabled because they have a ramp and also the elevator if you don't want to take the steps. The entire hotel is so clean and when you come to your room, you're met with wonderful color theme. Mine was red. In your room you are provided with: shampoo, body lotion, body wash, slippers, earplugs, towels, soap, shower cap(s) and a bathrobe. If you fancy a coffee or tea, the room is equipped with an espresso machine and an electric kettle and they even provide you with the tea. My room was incredible, it overlooked the square. There was a TV, but I didn't use it at the end of the day because I was too tired from exploring the city. The location is within walking distance of everything most guides tell you that you need to see on your trip to Riga. Seriously, you can't get better location than this! The breakfast was delicious and the workers incredibly nice. I appreciate all their hard work and I hope they know they're amazing. I wish I got their names because they deserve to be called out by name. Also the food made was fresh and they provide a lot of options if you are a picky eater. Overall, this was the best hotel I've stayed at so far. Due to its staff, its location, cleanliness, services provided and everything awaiting at the room. Also special thanks to Vsevolods. He was incredibly helpful and overall spectacular!

It can be a little noisy outside but they do provide you earplugs if you need to use them. I only needed them for one night but it was quiet for the rest of my stay.

Location was excellent! Staff and facilities were great. Room had everything one needs. We stayed at a room without window but it didn’t make us cramped. Room was clean and warm. In the end, it was a pleasant stay.

Breakfast was good but staff from kitchen were a little bit unwillingly. They were like “just eat and go” mood and if you want to have a slow morning it is not the best. It would be better if buffet can have more option. It is not nice to have limited option when you are at a hotel breakfast! Also breakfast area pictures with view are unrealistic. No way to see anything when you are eating.

This hotel is situated in the historic center of Riga and therefore many tourist highlights are in reach by walking. The French theme of the house is covered from the name to the elegance of the interior. We wer regretted by helpful staff who checked us in and gave us some advice on how to start with exploring Riga. The breakfast was very good, one freshly prepared dish was included in the booking (such as omelette or oatmeal). further, there was a good choice of bread, sausage, cheese, jams etc. so we always left the breakfast table well nourished.

nothing. Maybe one thing is worth mentioning even if it is not be any negligence on the side of the hotel - at least some rooms (like ours) get day light only via the inner court of the building. We did not mind this much but it may be good to know.

Lovely hotel in an amazing location! The room and bathroom were great, good size and really nice and well maintained. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Location is amazing - easy walk from the bus station and to the bus stop to get the bus to the airport, and right in the old town so it was very easy to walk around the old town and to get to other parts of the city. Would definitely stay here again.

Pillows were pretty uncomfortable. Breakfast was $20, which seems like way too much. Otherwise, everything was really great.

This is a very nice hotel that I've stayed at three times now. It has met my expectation each time. Each room is slightly different. The central atrium is magnificent with the mirrors. Rooms are comfortable and the plumbing works well. The linens are high-quality. Breakfast on the upper floor is very nice. There is a modest selection of items to eat. There is a small view over the central city from one end of the breakfast area.

One needs to walk about 200 m to get from an automotive form of transportation to the front door. This isn't really a downside, although many of us are autocentric in our lives. It does make it very safe to walk out the front door with only pedestrians.

The hotel is charming, and its location is just perfect! We could be everywhere we wanted after a 20 minute walk at most. Lots of restaurants, pubs and beautiful historic places nearby. Sat by the window during breakfast and loved watching the city wake up. Staff was also very friendly, and Dmitri provided outstanding service when we arrived. He gave great recommendations for both tours and restaurants. Breakfast was amazing, with plenty of options even in the weekdays during winter.

The parking is tricky. There is no way to get in front of the hotel by car. They do offer reserved parking in a nearby public garage for extra money. Luckily we didn’t have too much luggage, otherwise it would have been quite annoying to haul your luggage from the garage to the hotel. I know it is possible to temporarily stop closer to the hotel but that is a roll of the dice whether there is room by the road or not.

The hotel's central location was superb, the rooms and hotel were immaculate, the breakfast was delicious, and the staff was incredibly helpful and nice.

The first night, we slept poorly because the room temperature reached between 25 and 26 degrees. We realised too late that adjusting the room's air conditioning controls had no effect whatsoever on the temperature. The staff was really kind and helpful, and after seeing the problem, they let us switch to a different room. (Another traveller also commented on room temperature, which indicates that the hotel should really focus more on the AC issue.) Another nuisance, although a minor one, was that the other morning, bottom-floor speakers played jazz, and the sound carried quite loudly to upper stories. Jazz is nice, but not that much on holiday mornings.

The location was amazing, on the prettiest street of the old town. The hotel is cute and the staff very friendly. We needed an adaptor and a dental kit and the staff provided both within minutes. The room was a good size and the breakfast wasn't bad.

The room didn't have a window to the outside. The only window it had wasn't openable and it looked towards the corridor and the hotel atrium. No natural ventilation possible. The pillows were very uncomfortable.
