It's very difficult for me to say what exactly I liked. I probably only liked the interior of the hotel; as for the room, the room also had a fairly beautiful interior, but in terms of sleeping it was very uncomfortable, the pillows were very bad and it was quite cold.

I initially wanted to have one bed, but the hotel gave me a bed that was separate, that is, for two people. Although the reservation was for one person, the pillows were impossible to sleep on, the blanket was very small and the air conditioning did not work. in general, that is, it was impossible to turn it on so that it was warm, it was cold enough if you got out of the shower, so I was not satisfied.

The location was very central in old town Riga. But very quiet as in a side street. Fabulous stay, as we were travelling with our 22 year old daughter, we had a family room which included 2 rooms and a shared bathroom. The proportions of the rooms were superb and roomy. We loved the comfortable beds and the quietness of our floor. The staff are very friendly and accommodating and let us store our luggage on arrival and on departure. Riga is a beautiful city to walk and discover on foot. Amazing stay.

Breakfast could be improved. Although there was a variety of choices, we would prefer proper orange juice, better hot selection with proper sausages (not bratwurst type), bacon, beans, as the scrambled eggs were clearly not from fresh eggs but powder. Good ham. Yoghurt (plain or Greek). Muesli and more fruit. More jams (only strawberry jam on offer). Thank you!

Good staff and breakfast. Bedroom and bathroom were big. Location excellent. Beautiful building.

They can use a real interior decorator.. The bed back rest makes is old metal so people cannot sit up in bed and watch TV or internet. TV doesn't have any English. German and Latvian. Poor screen visibility. Large video screen at breakfast shows snakes eating bats, alligators eating wildebeest and large insects ... almost to loose ones appetite. One towel had 5 holes and was ripped up - it was like WTF ? I brought it to the desk. Staff was very apologetic. I asked them to keep my passport in a safe one night and staff agreed.. but they actually only put it in an envelope in an open drawer at a desk that isn't always guarded. I think the management must be bad.

We loved everything about Hotel Justus in Riga! It is perfectly located in the old town area, within easy walking distance of all the sites and restaurants. Our two rooms were comfortable, spacious, modern, and very clean. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The hotel offers a delicious and ample breakfast buffet. We arrived late in the evening and the gentleman at the front desk was very welcoming. After getting us all checked in, he recommended a great nearby cafe with outdoor seating for a late night casual burger since we hadn’t had dinner. It ended up being a great tip; it felt local (not touristy) and was exactly what we wanted.

The breakfast buffet does not open until 7:30 so I f you are an early riser like me and like a cup of coffee first thing in the morning, you have to go out to find something. Most of the coffee shops don’t open until 7:00 or 730, so that is a bit of a challenge. It would be great if the hotel had a little electric kettle with instant coffee in the rooms or maybe a station in the lobby.

I had a truly wonderful stay at Hotel Justus. From the moment I arrived late at night, I was warmly welcomed — they were expecting me and greeted me with genuine kindness. The staff was exceptionally polite and attentive throughout my stay. Every request I had — whether it was for an extra pillow or any other help — was met immediately and with a smile. They were always ready to assist and went out of their way to make me feel comfortable. The hotel itself is authentic and charming, with a special atmosphere that makes you want to come back again and again. It felt more like staying with family than just a hotel visit. My warmest thanks to the manager and all the staff of Hotel Justus. You made my stay truly memorable.

It is really a special place to stay! The location is probably the best for Riga even considering only the Old town area it is still best located :) A historical building, with amazing view from the window(room 201), nice old pieces of furniture and decors that give the right feeling for the place. Amazingly beautiful stairs and nice that the hosts also took care to have an elevator for the comfort of the guests with luggage or who just don't want to take the stairs) Breakfast was good. The eggs were prepared perfectly!) Hot dishes, porridge, plenty of fresh salads and veggies also there were authentic pancakes and appetizers prepared in local way, which was a nice touch:) Staff is very friendly, great and helpful people, thank you☀️

I'm sure even if there are still things to improve on the way to perfection they will do that! Definitely recommended☀️

The venue was really beautiful and historic. Rooms were clean and I personally really liked pillows they had 😎 Staff were really nice and they did speak good english! Breakfast was nice. We also had a little surprise in the room, because we were celebrating, and that was really nice thing to do, thank you! Superior room had a nice view!

Maybe there could have been more space in the breakfast area, in the rush hours you (maybe) have to wait a little time before there is table available. Also some healthy jugurts, porridge etc. would be great!

The hotel is perfectly located in the old town (actually part of a block of buildings including the cathedral) but also close to bus/tram stops connecting to the airport and other areas. The 22 bus from the airport stops about 5 mins walk away (11.novembra krastmala). The room had plenty of character and (unlike some) had plenty of electrical sockets and good-sized bedside tables. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice.

I felt a little exposed in the bathroom with only a thin veil over the window! The paving at the hotel entrance was damaged and could be quite hazardous.

* Location is 11/10, you can walk to every sight in Riga Old Town * Even the Zeppelin Halls and Origo are within a walking distance.. * There are 3x Rimis very near the hotel and one big shopping center (with Rimi Super) within 0.5km * Literally everything is within walking distance * There is Michelin star restaurant 10 meters from the hotel and Lido in about 50-100 meters * Bus 22 from the airport stops very near * Rooms were clean and stylish * There was a lot of brick and cast iron in furniture + old chairs * .. but the bathroom was modern and nice and clean * Also stairs were a bit retro, but there was an elevator build in 2008 * Breakfast was good , not the best, but above average * The room/hotel really was worth 4 stars

* We received some unsolicited messages from the hotel in chat, leading to a scam (we didn't fall for it) * The floor was carpeted (it was clean, but full floor carpet is not so good) * There was renovation done across the street, so view had construction things, no noise during weekend * We could hear people speaking in next room * It was kinda cold outside, so we did not test air conditioning, but it was there * Television was 4:3 aspect ratio, maybe because of common retro style

The hotel has an amazing location, right next to the main square and Riga Cathedral. Almost all major tourist attractions are within 5-15 minutes of walking distance. Our room was spacious and clean, the beds were comfortable and the bathroom was renovated and spotless. The breakfast did not have endless options (which is such a waste) but all the available things were tasty and more than enough to feel full and satisfied. The hotel staff is kind, professional and helpful. There was someone working at the reception even 04:00 am in the morning and helped us check out smoothly.

The bedroom was a bit cold but we visited Riga in January and the outside temperature is -5 to -10 degrees therefore it was expected. If you are visiting from a warmer country, bring warm clothes and socks with you!
