Our stay was almost perfect. The location couldn't be any better, and breakfast was of great quality - everything was well prepared and there were some nice extras that you typically don't find in the breakfast selection. My son, a big fan of salmon, was basically in heaven enjoying the two different types of salmon. Our room was very spacious, comfortable and beautiful. Everything was clean and the amenities were good.

"Almost perfect", I wrote. The only thing that was a minus was the air conditioning. It's possible that I'm the only person in the world that faces a crisis when the air conditioning doesn't work as it should in northern Europe in April, but I know myself and that's why I always check that the hotel has air conditioning even if I were travelling during the wintertime. For me +24-25°C is a horrendous room temperature, I like it around 21 degrees. Our room was a bit too warm for our taste after a really sunny day, and the AC did not change the situation at all, even when we set it first to 15 and then later to 5 degrees. Nothing. I mentioned this at the reception, but apparently there wasn't anything that could be done about it.

Room was spotless and a good size. The large seating area with sofa and also a desk area were a surprising bonus. TV had English news channels! The bathroom is amazing with heated floor, good lighting and lovely towels and good range of toiletries. There is a kitchen area with sink and microwave with a good sized fridge that offers a minibar but big enough to store your own drinks. We had a room at the back so lovely and quiet and three windows provided lots of natural light. All the staff were wonderful and spoke perfect English - the reception and restaurant staff were great as were the housekeeping staff who made our rooms spotless everyday while we were out. Breakfast had a good range on offer from hot food like scrambled eggs, bacon or porridge. Also fresh bread, cold cuts and cheese along with salads and croissants too. Muesli, chia puddings, cakes and brownies for sweet tooth and fresh fruit like pineapple, melon, grapes etc. Huge range of juices and yogurt drinks as well as banana strawberry smoothies on a self serve table. Coffee was from a machine but I think you could order barista coffee from the staff. We also enjoyed a glass of bubbles on Sunday. Usually I tire of hotel breakfasts after day 2, but we stayed for four breakfasts and there was always something new to try. We also tried the sauna steam room which you book for personal use. You have one hour in the room all to yourself and there are loungers and showers and they provided fresh lemon water too. It was also really clean and a great place to warm up if you have been out in the cold all day. Location has to be the best! Would return in a heartbeat! Thanks Hotel Neiburgs!

I always prefer to have more coffee, tea and especially milk in the room than most hotels provide but as the staff replenished them daily, I can’t really complain.

Breakfast was very good and the stuff was very helpful professional. I really appreciated the cleningless of the room and every time was cleaned was spot on really impressive.

While the hotel is excellent, I believe that for the price and in comparison to other 4-star establishments, access to the sauna and fitness facilities should be included in the room rate. I found it unusual that these amenities were offered as paid extras, as all five 4-star hotels I stayed in during the past month provided them at no additional cost. This minor point, however, does not diminish the overall quality of the hotel, which remains a very good 4-star establishment.

Nice little hotel in Riga’s old town. Excellent location for walking, all the major sights reachable by foot. Very clean and cosy room. Kitchen was a nice bonus. Complimentary water delivered to the room daily. Nice toiletries and ear plugs. Quiet air conditioning and ok temperature. Very nice staff in both the hotel and the restaurant. Good basic breakfast. Calm atmosphere.

There was nothing to put your wet (snow melting) shoes on when entering the room so the floor got messy. When choosing a room facing the street, be prepared for some noice (people leaving restaurants at night), summers must be worse with terraces nearby.

The hotel is located in the center of Old Town, very convenient to many tourist attractions. The room was a good size, larger than we expected. A small kitchenette was included, which was very convenient. We loved the beautiful old building the hotel is located in. It was very spacious and clean. We had a great view from our 6th story room. The staff was very friendly and efficient. In fact, my husband accidentally left his walking stick behind the day we checked out, and didn't realize till we reached the airport. He contacted the hotel, and they were kind enough to send it to us. That is exceptional service. Thank you!!!

Everything was great!!!

The room was fantastic. The bed was super comfortable and though the hotel was located on a main street, there was no noise. We had a room on the front side of the hotel and the views were spectacular. The bathroom floor was heated and what a comfort and pleasure it was during a November stay. The housekeeping was excellent and the rooms were kept clean. The kitchenette is basic and okay for maybe heating something but doesn't really serve well for cooking a full meal. The cupboards are spacious and the seating area in the room was also ample.

Perfect location. A very nice room on the top floor of the hotel with a beautiful view. Super spacious with a sitting area which was a bonus. A very calm hotel with nice staff so a very relaxed atmosphere. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.

The breakfast was very nice but the coffee was awful (self-service) - there was a coffee machine behind the bar but it was at a charge. So, given that everything else at the hotel was superb and faultless, it would be great if a better coffee was served at breakfast as the coffee machine coffee is just not edible. Perhaps also the option to be able to iron clothes so include an iron and ironing board in the room - creased clothes for us all trip but that is a first world problem. I would still give this hotel a 10 out of 10.

Great location in the heart of the old town - all the sights very accessible. We had a lovely suite overlooking the Cathedral. Exceptionally clean, spacious room with comfy beds and lots of hot water. It has a daily maid service and offers good value for money. Unlike the modern, bland, big chain hotels, it is a historic building which adds to its quirky uniqueness. Would definitely recommend it to family or friends - and would stay there again.

Occasional bit of street noise at night when the windows are open due to being in the heart of the old town and it’s bars/ restaurants- but it wasn’t a big issue for us as it is in a great accessible location Breakfasts are very good with lots on offer- but a bit on the pricey side

Location was absolutely perfect. We asked for a quiet room and were not disappointed. Staff was helpful when approached, otherwise they didn't engage, which is what we prefer. Breakfast was good and not too busy. We enjoyed our stay.

Room was nice and clean, but felt somewhat old. Furniture in our room has definitely seen better days. Nightstand and table for example had scratches/damage. TV in our room was also quite small and older model which didn't allow connection with our devices.

The welcome was so friendly and the staff so helpful. The room was huge with a desk, couch, lounge chair, kitchen, great closet space and wonderful bathroom. Very light. All was super clean and modern. I asked for a few things, pan, cutting board and knife, sone cooking utensils & it was brought to room in a jiffy. Bed was so comfortable that I slept one day until 11am. Location is outstanding. So many main attractions are literally around the corner. I went outside City twice. Bus is a 4 min walk. Restaurants are in every direction. Grocery too.

The gym is very meager. After a day of walking, a bike would be better. The exercise mats were the shortest I have ever seen. The cord of hair dryer is very short. Hard to see yourself in mirror when drying your hair esp if you are tall.
