The location was good - a picturesque building, 8 mins walk from the bus station, and a short walk from the sights of the old town. We had a top floor attic room which was a generous size, with a very comfortable bed. The colour scheme was a little quirky - but I prefer that to bland! The breakfast was lovely, served in the pleasantly decorated ground floor restaurant: A hot and cold buffet with good quality ingredients, and attentive people to bring tea and coffee. The check in process was unconventional - keys were left on the desk in an envelope. I was concerned that that this might mean the hotel was unmanned, but all was fine. It's just that they have a small team, and everyone was working in the restaurant on the evenings. (Italian food - looked nice, but we had made other plans.)

It night be nice (for tea-obsessed english people!) to have a kettle in the room, but there was complimentary coffee & tea always available in a little seating area on the second floor.

Convenient for tourist office, food court,railway station and trams. Nice touch to have little socks on the chair legs to stop noise. Coffee and tea area with sofa just outside room. I was able to check in early as my room was ready. The lady who checked me in was particularly helpful and informative during my 4 night stay. Good map of area provided by hotel which was the same one provided by tourist office. Attractive breakfast area with good coffee options. Good food in the restaurant in the evenings if wanted. I had hoped for a higher room with a view over rooftops but I guess one can’t have everything!

Our room had a good size, bed was comfy. It was a little bit loud in the early morning, some tourist were loud and then the rubbish collection arrived. Breakfast was good, staff was helpful. Only the lighting in the breakfast area was too bright.

My only issue was with the lighting in the bathroom. The small lights above the sink worked only if you switchen on the main bathroom light which was very bright.

Small atmospheric hotel near the centre of the old town, the rooms are of normal size, with a pet you will be offered even more suitable room, interesting idea with a small pool for fish near the reception, in the corridor near the room was an area for making and drinking hot drinks (tea, coffee), issued slippers, which is not always done in hotels of a higher level

The hotel does not have its own parking, you have to park at the shopping centre 10 minutes away, there were no water bottles in the room, and on departure we could not offer water, only cups. Breakfast is weak on variety, especially if you are picky about food. There were dirty mugs in the hot drinks area, namely the plaque left on them

The location of the hotel is fantastic, close to all the interesting sites. The breakfast nicely served in the pleasant room downstairs. The staff extremely helpful and friendly always. The only small thing i would mention, are the curtains in the bed room which left quite some light through. But very interesting settings in the whole of the hotel. I will recommend it to friends who want to visit Riga. My partner got ill and had to go to hospital. The hotel staff helped us as much as possible. Thank you

As mention, the curtains in our bedroom were a bit light and didn't close easily. But well done otherwise.

Charming old building right in the city centre. The room was quite big and clean. The bathroom was not too big but well organised and clean. Good breakfast and a cosy atmosphere in the restaurant. The self-service check-in/check-out worked very well and the information provided before arrival was excellent.

În the morning the reception staff has to do double duty for the breakfast service, so it is difficult to get their help for information or anything else related to the stay.

The hotel most likely needs to be renovated. Not a bad hotel in principle. Small. Our room was on the 4th floor, and it seems to be a floor without renovation. Since we had already seen a coffee machine on the second floor at check-out. Nobody told us anything about the fact that it can be used. And in general, they didn't say anything. The 2nd and 3rd floors are better. According to people's reviews, it's good that we were not settled on the 5th floor...

Accommodation on the 4th floor. The staff didn't tell me what to use at the hotel. No air conditioning. We were in August, and it was impossible to stay in the room. Very hot. The windows are wooden.

The Hotel has a perfect location in the old town Riga, so it’s very comfortable getting by the city as well as the train/bus station. The hotel is very cosy, nice old 30s style, great to take pictures inside! The staff were all very friendly and helpful! Breakfast was very good as well as very neatly served! It was one of the best stays in Riga!

Since it is in the heart of old town, nights might be a bit loud, but closing the windows helps to keep the noise down. There is a coffee machine and kettle on the 2nd floor but no milk or refrigerator to store it. Would be great to have these in the room, but not a big problem :)

Excellent location and not noisy for a central hotel. Huge room, comfortable bed, very friendly and helpful staff, good breakfast.

Very hot in the room if the fan wasn't on permanently. 24 hours without hot water (apparently due to a Riga water company heating check). The shower could do with an update for the standard of the room.

This hotel is right in old town and the center of Riga. You see literally within 5 minutes walking of every major attraction. It’s perfect during Christmas time because you can easily see the Christmas market! Also for the coin collectors out there, there’s a shop right next door!

You pay at the end of the stay, which I found strange, but maybe it’s what they do in Latvia. It didn’t matter though !
