To start with the hotel is in an excellent location well within easy transport links and walking distance of main locations and restaurants. It’s in the old town too which is a top area for exploring. The staff member who works mostly week day time was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful with suggestions. I was originally booked into an economy double for the duration of my stay. This was from a Thursday to Monday but when I originally booked I couldn’t book like this which I think was a glitch with the system on booking.com as the same room was available. Unfortunately the room I stayed in the first night looked over onto the street which is right next to a back packers hostel and a few bars. I believe this may be the situation with a number of the economy rooms as when I asked to be moved there was nothing else they could offer elsewhere. There was nothing else wrong with the room, and if you aren’t a light sleeper then probably could manage it but I really struggled. In the end I was able to upgrade to a more expensive room for the rest of the stay which was on the other side of the hotel. I didn’t encounter any of the noise issues. Some small points which I found a bit odd. They had double beds in both rooms but 2 x single duvets which is a bit annoying. Also unlike lots of international hotels they did have kettles and tea bags!! But no milk. I did source my own milk from breakfast, but it is easy to provide the little long life milk options for rooms. Others have remarked on breakfast. It is absolutely fine, but worth noting there are a lot of local options, but there is still plenty of choice including for veggies like me so I didn’t have an issue.

Actually i didn’t have complain about hotel room. Main and big complain is reception staff worker. When we signing in I get feeling we are not welcome there at all. She was very rude all the time. We didn’t know Latvia have tourists tax and when she explain it was difficult to understand. Also that plastic cover block voice so well I didn’t hear well what she said.. When I said I don’t understand what she try explain to us, her answer was - “I cannot do anything for that” After we paid that tax and she explain fast breakfast time, room number, etc.. I wanted to confirm that room number, her answer was “I just already said that”. I don’t know is something wrong about me, or is Latvia country and people’s behaviour like that? Anyway - I got feeling it’s s first and last time for me when I travelling to Latvia, but if I still one day travelling - then hotel will be some other than Forums Boutique Hotel!

Very short walk from the main bus station and market and right beside the streetcars / trans. Walking distance to everything in old town. Room was very comfortable and quiet. Had breakfast included which was convenient. Conveneince store right across the street where you could pick up food (including sandwitches and salads) and also transit tickets). Good stay overall.

Breakfast was decent but not the best or most varied. Downstairs breakfast room would get extremely crowded. There was an overflow room on the first floor but you had to carry your breakfast up a flight of stairs (or take the elevator).

The location is excellent; it is near the bus stop that travels to and from the airport. The best part, though, is the receptionist. She is one of the best receptionists I have encountered in my travels. She goes above and beyond her role by remembering our room and providing us with excellent suggestions (Sadly, I did not get her name, but she was the receptionist from 13-15.08.2025 - kudos to her)

This is nitpicking, but the breakfast area gets easily crowded, although they have a second-floor dining area. The building facilities are also dated, so it is not the newest, but for the price, these issues are forgivable.

Very well placed for the bus to and from the airport. Short walk to train station. Very central for the old town but our room was quiet. Aircon was good. First few days we had window open - fresh air was good Everything worked well as expected Breakfast was good - continental and you just have to choose what you want. It was fine for me.

Nothing really. The window was locked on our last night (?). It was too late and we couldn't be bothered going down to reception so we used the Aircon which worked great. So not a complaint, just puzzled about the window being locked and us being unable to unlock it - maybe we were just too tired!! 😄

We had a premium room for 4-persons, that in reality consisted of two well sized double rooms with connecting doors. Worked great for me and my family. Beautifully decorated rooms, clean and bright. Comfortable beds. Two bathrooms that were functional. Good windows that isolated the sound from the street outside. Very central location! Got the car parked close to the hotel (with extra cost), but not many parking spaces near by. Recommend eating affordable local food at one of the Lido restaurants and visiting the Central Market close to the hotel.

Air conditioning was not sufficient in the premium rooms on the 4:th floor, so the room was a bit too hot in the night and you could not open the windows because of the noice in the street. Breakfast was ok but I would have liked some better quality bread like bread rolls. We brought the food to our room, because the breakfast room was ful. I would have expected better air conditioning and mabye a bit nicer breakfast experience for the price we paid. But as a whole the hotel was quite nice!

The location is perfect. Walking distance from every monument and place to be visited. It's next to a very busy street, but the window was facing to an inner patio, so it was quiet. Our arrival was a bit messy because my in-laws didn't book their room correctly, but the worker at the reception was very helpful and had lots of patience, which, in the end, fixed the situation and offered them a cheaper option than the room they had "booked".

Breakfast is OK, I'd like to have more variety. Maybe they could have a bigger table and fridge in the room. The shower was a bit complicated to close, so we ended up getting it running in the middle of the night. It was a weird surprise.

The hotel is nice, clean and modern, centrally located. The room has all the amenities that you need - kettle, minibar, big TV, AC system, etc. I had a very quiet inner room (but no view, which wasn't a problem).

The tube in the bathroom is very slippery and not very suitable. The breakfast is good and variety is a lot, but the place is very small and crowded. The location is very convenient in the old city and near the bus and railway station. Otherwise I didn't feel safe to walk late on the night and early in the morning. A lot of drunk and criminal people.

Situated in the old town just a 5 min walk from the market. Staff were excellent 👍🏻 very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good a mix of hot and cold buffet with something for everyone. Rooms were lovely, comfy beds and very clean. We had fab and easy follow instructions from Hotel on arriving at airport and finding the hotel we chose to use the shuttle bus very cheap and took about 45 mins. On return to airport we asked for a taxi and this was arranged and cost us about €25 taking about 20mins. We also went to the opera what a fab night out and tickets were only £25 each bargain !

No complaints at all
