I chose this hotel because of it's location - about 5 minute walk from the bus station - and because it had rooms with bathtubs available. I loved the excellent soundproofing they had done to the rooms, couldn't hear anyone talking, watching TV or snoring. Both the room and bathroom were spacious and tastefully simple. The amenities in the bathroom included a really good hair conditioner and body lotion. The coffee and tea making facilities in the room were in good working order and equipped with good quality tea selection. The mini bar was also well stocked, although I didn't actually use anything from there. The staff is very helpful and professional, very fluent in English, too. The buffet-style breakfast had everything a frequent traveler has become accustomed to when staying in hotels - hot options like scrambled and boiled eggs, sausages and bacon, pancakes and oatmeal, everything you need to make a sandwich (including a toaster), hot and cold drinks. It also had steamed vegetables and roasted potatoes. I was very pleasantly surprised to find a well stocked salad counter full of fresh vegetables, various dressings and even pickles - I thought I had taken an elevator to Italy :)

If you're looking for a room with a view, this is not a place for you, the street is rather narrow and even the rooms on higher floors and with balconies don't give anything more to look at than a slice of a cobbled stone street and the spa hotel across the street. The hair dryer in my room was working alright, but seemed rather old and for a moment I thought if it was safe to use it. I also didn't find any stationery to take notes - hotels usually have those, even when it's just a few pages of paper and a pencil.

Excellent breakfast and very helpful reception staff.

Room 504. It was definitely not 4 star. There was less than 6 inches of space between the pushed-together single beds and the property walls. This made getting in and out of bed an exercise in contortion and extremely challenging for one with knee problems. Furthermore, the shower cubicle was tiny and was a squeeze even for someone just 50kgs in size. In addition to these 'infrastructure' issues, the room mini-fridge did not work. Unfortunately, the hotel could not change our room being fully booked.

Excellent location, very easy to use as a base to move about the town. The staff was very helpfull, contacted us beforehand and adviced the buss to take from the airport to city. Extremely helpfull and polite at the reception. Ok breakfast; there was everything that there usually is, in this level of hotel, the breakfast kept us going well untill late lunch/dinner. Can leave luggage to wait in the luggage room, however it is not locked, you take your luggage in there and anyone can go in. Our room was a design room, it was cute, located at the street level.

The mattress and the pillows in the bed were a bit hard and lumpy to sleep on. The fast tempo jazz in the breakfast area was maybe a little restless for our taste in the morning. Big windows that opened to building in-yard, but there was cars parked right in front of the window, we kept the curtains closed all time because of that.

Location was quite good. Breakfast was perfect and versatile! Check- in and out was quick. Nothing to complain about that. The hotel was quiet and because of air conditioner, we slept well even windows open.

View from the window was other room's windows. Air conditioner didn't work properly and the lowest temperature setting was 18 °C. Luckily it was beginning of the june and not middle of july. The room smelled of dampness. We got only one bath towel but 3 hand towels for two people. Someone took food with their bare hands at breakfast and licked their fingers afterwards. Disgusting. For some nationalities, hygiene is a foreign concept

Cozy, warm, and welcoming, both the room and the reception staff. Bathroom and room was spotless. Shower/water pressure and temperature were great. Fantastic central location and for the price was well worth it. Quiet location for such a central place, and they accommodated my request for a quiet room.

Asked for a single double bed but received the usual European '2 single beds squashed together' - I could have probably mentioned that after checking in and they would probably have been helpful and changed it if possible, but it literally was the only thing that I would mark the place down on and wasn't that bothered.

The room was comfortable, nice and the hotel was located in the city centre. The breakfast was very tasty and it had a variety of choices.

There was an intense noise in the night from steps coming from other rooms and we were not able to sleep at the beginning. Also, in the first day we arrived very early in the morning, we had already informed the hotel that we only wanted to leave our luggages there and not to check in and they agreed. But the moment we arrived, the very first thing that the receptionist said in a rude way was "You came very early", she didn't even say hello. We found it not nice and we felt unwelcomed.

Bigger than average rooms in Riga. Chosen an option with balcony on 5th floor, can't say there's a view out of there, but still nice to have an option to get a fresh air. Location is obviously good. Not in center of old Riga, so it's not noisy during the nights. However, 5 minutes walk to Origo, or old town, 2 minutes to Dougava river and amazing view to bridges. Staff is super friendly. Fridge in the room - definitely is a win. Breakfast is general but more than enough options.

No hygiene and personal care products (bath kit) in the bathroom, which is expected.

We recently stayed at a hotel in Riga and were generally satisfied with our experience. The staff were friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome throughout our stay. The room was fine, offering what we needed, though nothing particularly stood out. What really made our stay enjoyable was the location—right in the heart of the city center, making it incredibly convenient for exploring Riga's attractions. Another highlight was the breakfast, which was quite decent, and we particularly appreciated that it was served until 11:00 AM, allowing us to sleep in a bit longer than usual. The check-out time of 12:00 PM was also a pleasant surprise, as it's a rarity and gave us a relaxed morning on our departure day. Overall, while everything met our expectations, we didn’t feel there was anything extraordinary that would merit a score higher than an 8. However, it’s a solid choice for anyone looking to stay in the center of Riga with good service and reasonable amenities.

However, we did notice that the hotel shows signs of age, and at times, it felt quite outdated. Additionally, the cleanliness in our room could have been better, which detracted somewhat from our overall comfort.

Great location (Not in the middle of old city but short walking distance from all main sites), spacious room (rooms with balcony exist but balconies are facing main street), very friendly and helpful staff, reasonable breakfast, comfortable bed Great choice for few days stay in Riga

Bath is very high and there is no shower - could be a problem for elder or limited people to get in and out Beds are comfortable but very low Balcony is quite small no furniture and is facing main street - not for morning or afternoon coffee, but for smokers like us it was a prefect solution But all the above are really minor things, overall - its a great place to stay.

Hotel was centrally located for the Old Town and other amenities. Receptionist was very welcoming upon arrival. Reception area was itself quirky and interesting. The Room was as expected and more than comfortable enough for the stay. Took up the option of breakfast which, although basic, had more than sufficient options to satisfy most needs.

There was, and still is, ongoing work on the building's facade. However, this will enhance the charm and beauty of the exterior when completed. This did not present a problem to myself but may to other guests.
