Executive King is spacious with a nice open view. Afternoon cocktail at the top floor is nice. Great swimming pool and gym. Breakfast at the Spoon is nice. Very friendly staff everywhere. Location is unbeatable as it's 2 min walk from two NICE shopping malls (Gurney Plaza, Gurney Paragon) which offer ample dinning options and even cinema, spa and supermarkets. 5-10 min cheap grab drive will take you to the heritage part of George Town.

The towels - many of them had obvious stains on it and almost grey in color. Quite a shock to me. I would recommend bringing your own. All the bathrobes were very old with torn bits here and there........ House keeping left dirty cloths in the room one time and forgot to replenish fresh towel on another.

From the moment we stepped into this hotel, the staff made an incredible effort to make us feel welcome. The entire experience was fabulous. The team at the hotel made our stay truly memorable, and we do intend to return. The location is excellent to get into the centre of George Town. (A short Grab), and also located next to the Gurney shopping plaza. The hotel facilities are excellent, the room was really well equipped, spacious and really comfortable. We used the gym on the 23rd floor which had a range a good equipment and nice views. The rooftop infinity pool was really good to relax along with amazing views. The service From checkin to checkout we couldn’t fault the staff. Everyone made a real effort to make us welcome. We had the complementary breakfast and evening cocktail service which I would recommend any guest to purchase. A special mention to the reception team along with Boon & Iqbal in the Spoon restaurant.

Room The room was spacious, modern, and very clean. The bed was comfortable and the amenities provided (toiletries, coffee/tea, minibar) were of good quality. The view from the window was a nice bonus. Breakfast The breakfast spread was excellent, with a wide variety of local and international options. The quality of the food was consistently high, and the service staff were attentive in refilling items and clearing tables. Location The hotel is in a convenient location at Gurney Drive/Kelawai area, close to shopping malls and restaurants, and just a short ride away from George Town’s heritage attractions. It’s easy to get around by Grab or taxi. ✨ Overall, it was a pleasant 2-night stay with great comfort, good food, and a very convenient location.

✨ My 2-night stay at G Hotel Kelawai was excellent — the room was spacious, modern, and very clean with a comfortable bed and quality amenities. Breakfast offered a wide variety of delicious options with attentive service, and the location was perfect, close to malls, restaurants, and just a short ride to George Town’s attractions. I had no complaints — everything met or exceeded expectations.

The room was a good size with large ensuite shower room and fantastic views as it was on the 20th floor. The hotel is locate about 4km from the centre of Georgetown which on the whole was nice as we just used Grab services which were affordable and reliable. The buffet breakfast was extremely varied and catered for many cultures, so there was generally something new to try most days. The executive room deal was definitely worth it with nibbles and drinks each evening available for 2 hours on the rooftop. Staff were very friendly. If you are into shopping the 2 adjacent shopping centres are very good.

Not much to dislike. The pool on the top floor not being huge, could get a bit crowded if families were using it. The sister hotel round the corner has a much more family sized pool. Staff's local knowledge wasn't great and the couple of times we spoke with the concierge language was a difficulty. Perhaps have stronger English speaking staff on that desk, however I do realise us English as a first language people are fortunate anyway.

I had a great 2-night stay at G Hotel Kelawai (29–31 May). The room was spacious, clean, and well-equipped, with a complimentary minibar and comfortable bedding. Breakfast was enjoyable with a good variety, and I appreciated the option to dine at either the main restaurant or the Executive Lounge. The location was excellent—right between Gurney Plaza and Gurney Paragon, and close to local eateries along Gurney Drive. Overall, a very pleasant and convenient experience.

One minor issue was the traffic outside the hotel, which can get quite congested due to traffic lights and the one-way street system. However, it was still manageable for me. Also, the breakfast selection, while good, could be more diverse across days.

1 The room is very big and spacious, so was the ensuite bathroom and shower. The amenities are just right. Towels are nice and big. 2. The free mini bar (no alcohol) was a bonus! 3. The pool is lovely with stunning views of Georgetown and the mountains. 4.The outdoor bar is very atmospheric and the live music was a pleasant surprise.

If I had to list one thing- it was that the hotel is having some work done, and we were only told about this when we arrived on our room- no work was done on the weekend we were there, but Monday morning you could here it and if I wasn't leaving, I'd be a very unhappy guest!

The location is strategic. It’s located near Penang’s famous food hawker called Gurney Drive (5mins walk) & it’s nestled nicely in between 2 malls (Gurney Plaza & Gurney Paragon) for ease of getting things that you might need or just for a quick shop. The facilities are great (they have a gym & a swimming pool that are clean & well stocked). Breakfast buffet was tasty & also has a good variety on a daily basis.

Even though the front desk staffs were accommodative but we feel like they lacked training (some of them) & were not so welcoming. They appear clueless sometimes too. Also, our bedsheet has some yellow stains on it. Other than that, we had a good stay.

Breakfast was great with plenty of food options that were replenished frequently. Breakfast area was able to accommodate many diners without the feeling of being crowded. Tables were well spaced out and plates were cleared quickly. Hotel staff were kind, polite and very pleasant. We were accommodated with an early check-in despite not having made any prior arrangements with the hotel and I was grateful for this. Rooms were clean with no sign of wear and tear. Beds were so comfortable with good linen. Liked the pillow menu. Pool areas were very clean and well maintained with more than enough sun loungers and pool towels. We had paid for the executive package and marveled at the extra value and benefits. It was totally worth it. Loved the location and proximity to some really great eateries within walking distance. The bus stop is also really close by, and it is a convenient mode of transport to explore the local attractions.

A bit far from airport (PEN), <30mins without jam. In between 2 shopping malls good for shopping and eating. 10 mins walk to Gurney Drive Hawker Centre. If u like the local cuisine/ street food, must try, very delicious . Staffs are extremely nice and helpful. Even I reach there at late night, they are very patient. Extremely fast to complete the check in , I can get my room just around 15 minutes.

Apart from 2 shopping malls next to Hotel, it seem nothing around here. Need to go out by taxi or grab A bit far from George Town , 10mins grab and always jam(maybe weekend holiday)

My second stay here with my family. Firstly, we love the quiet ambiance. Secondly, easy access to shopping malls and eateries. Thirdly, we love the cleanliness of our rooms.

1. The bed is stated as an extra large double bed, but instead we were given 2 single beds that were joined together. It was so uncomfortable especially the middle bit. It was a letdown as we paid for a more comfortable bed. Please improve this as it is important to have a good night sleep! 2. This time the wifi is a bit slow.
