The lady at the counter was loud & cocky towards Malaysians but surprisingly meek & polite towards foreigners. Very discriminatory. Her voice is so loud that it can be heard outside the hotel!

Very good stay on Penang Island, right next door to the Penang Botanical Gardens which was a bowl of fresh air and a haven for monkeys and lush vegetation - 20 min walk from the hotel. This hotel is reachable from KL Airport by taking a train to Butterworth from KL Sentral or Kuala Lumpur Main Station, changing for the ferry over to Penang, then bus 101 to Gurney Plaza before walking 10-15 min to the hotel - or you can take a Grab direct to the hotel. I only used Grab on the island to go back to the hotel in the evening from the funicular and it was easy as pie with the app. This hotel is classic but has all the stuff you need for a good stay: A good bed, a good shower, a proper air conditioning and the feeling of being safe and looked after. Right next door is OO White Coffee where you can enjoy a nice Chinese style breakfast. You do have to give a cash deposit of 50 MYR upon check in which they will give back on departure. It was a quick stay and it ticked all the boxes for me. I went to Miami Beach after check out for visiting the Teddy Bear Museum and it is reachable by bus after a 10 min walk from the hotel - or you could take the bus in the other direction for the excellent Cornwallis fort or the town of George Town.

Nothing, it was very good and good value for money.

The staff was extremely helpful! The room I first got was very bad, and they changed it the next morning with pleasure, to a very good one, which made me stay for almost a week more than planned. Big spacious room, comfortable bed, very friendly helpful cleaners everyday.

Far from the city & nightlife. Bad soundproofing, so depending on who you get as neighbours you might sleep like a child or stay up all night.

Room and toilets are very spacious. Good location. Very near to Gurney Drive, Botanical garden and Thaneermalai Waterfalls Temple. A lot of restaurants around.

No wardrobe. Only one chair. Wardrobe and additional chairs and small tea table will enhance the facilities in the room. Limited car park.

I like the hotel locations...nearby the Gurney Drive n a miles from Batu Feringghi Beach...also many convinience store around the hotel 👌🥰

Only about the toilet door it's not easy to open n close because of the door locked is problem ...it's was unsafe for kids & senior citizens or the oku to used it in the room.. ..hope the hotel management will do something good for the customers as soon as possible 👌

Location is near city park and botanical garden. There’s plenty of restaurants nearby. Room is clean, water pressure is strong, aircon is working well. There’s filter water dispenser at the corridors. There’s no problem parking my car.

Lack in sound proofing. Could offer a better toilet seat.
