We stayed at the hotel for its 1)location - very near the start line of the Kuala Lumpur Marathon and 2) convenience - next to the Masjid Jamek lrt station

What I paid (due to reservations made on booking.com) was actually a LOT more that the amount I would have paid had I made reservations directly with the hotel. Found out during check-in when I was initially charged (and paid) a much lower amount. However, when they realised that I made reservations via booking.com, I was made to pay a much higher amount than the initial payment made.

The location is great - walking distance to many sites and subway. There is a good shared space on the last floor where one can work (internet speed is fast). The AC worked well. They were cleaning every day and providing bottled water. Besides, there is a cooler on the upper floor where you can refill your bottle with more water.

There is McDonalds on the first floor, so on the one hand you can always get a snack, but in the other hand the smell of their fried food gets into the room if you want to open the window. Besides, in a shared space in the evening (if you have to work late hours or just want to chill there) you might see occasional visitors - rats. So be cautious if you are afraid of them. They usually target the garbage can in the space.

Convenient location, very near LRT station. A bottle of water per person is provided daily, with a water dispenser on top floor for free refills if not enough. Downstairs is McDonald's and multiple convenience stores nearby. Able to see KL tower from room. Shower pressure acceptable. AC, wifi and free taxi provided from airport to hotel.

Would prefer to have a fridge in the room. Only a multi-purpose shower gel/ shampoo provided, best to bring your own shampoo and conditioner if needed. Not enough hooks in bathroom to hang stuff while showering and only a half glass for shower stall, so clothes on top of toilet becomes wet unless extremely careful (holding the shower head or have it turned towards the wall to minimise splashes). Towel rack is on top of toilet.

The location of the hotel is excellent, it's right across the road from an MRT station and within walking distance to cafes, shops and restaurants. The bed was very comfortable. The room was small but had everything you needed. Overall cleanliness was good. Staff were friendly. Good value for money considering it's in a capital city.

There weren't enough plug sockets - it would be good if there was one on each side of the bed. The shower could have been a bit cleaner but the overall level of cleanliness was good.

Big M Hotel in Kuala Lumpur provided a fantastic base for exploring the city. The location is truly excellent, placing you right in the heart of the action and within easy reach of the city center. What truly stood out was the hotel's proximity to public transportation. Getting around Kuala Lumpur was a breeze, with various options just steps from the hotel's doorstep. Beyond the prime location, the staff were incredibly friendly and smiley. Their warm and welcoming demeanor made my stay even more enjoyable. They were always ready to assist and offered helpful advice. If you're looking for a conveniently located hotel with a friendly atmosphere in Kuala Lumpur, Big M Hotel is a great choice

Pros : - The hotel let me have an early check-in since I arrived in the hotel early -Very helpful and friendly staff - Good Wi-fi services - Electric Kettle with Coffee packs were there along with water bottles - Good location with a lot of places to eat, shop and visit - Peteling Street is about 500m away - Good cafes like LOKL Cafe is only in the walking distance -Good room and very comfy bed -Safety Box was there. - Even the "wake-up" call at 4.15am was right on time as requested

Suggestions to improve : - Might be a good idea to have a mini fridge in the rooms to store food and drinks - Maybe to add a couple of English speaking channels in the tv in the rooms - The door to the balcony right next to the room 701 (which is where I stayed) closes very loudly and it makes a huge noise to scare who ever is in the nearby rooms. Might be a good idea to do something about it

My room was 507. This hotel is bang for a buck. For really cheap, you'll get a comfortable room that's more than enough space for a solo traveller. It is also in a central location, right next to the MRT and the Merdeka Square. Chinatown is about ~7mins away on foot. Bed and pillows was comfortable and the general room is clean.

There was mold in the ceiling of the bathroom but other than that, it's clean.

This place is so close with lrt, mcd, masjid jamek, dataran merdeka.

The room is a lil cramp, we have to push the queen bed towards the wall just so we can have enough space to perform solat. Aside, everything is good enough for the price.

Very clean room and comfy beds. The hotel is in a great location close to Chinatown and Merdeka Square. Staff were friendly. Able to store bags after checking out.

The hotel is on the main road with no car entry/exit spot, so you need to get grabs from a side street (with a lot of suitcases this might be hard)

We loved our stay with Big M Hotel. The hotel is in the best location, close to the centre and to public transport. Our room was big, comfortable and clean- we had a room with no window and had no issues with dampness. We received house keeping everyday including new towels. We find the staff friendly and helpful. We really liked the roof top terrace and sitting area. We will be staying with Big M Hotel during our next visit to KL.
