Breakfast staff were all friendly and accommodating. The doormen were very polite. The counter staff and management were also very helpful and trying their Best to provide a great service which is why I would go there again

Some staff members kept coming over asking you to review them at breakfast times. One staff member would even hang around watching you eat so that you can provide him with a good review. I think he wanted us to do it there and then which I found a little annoying.

Plenty of shopping nearby. + All rooms include hot tubs. + Very friendly and accommodating staff. + Wide variety of food for the daily free breakfast. With multiple restaurants inside the hotel, for lunch and dinner. + Amenities such as the pool, gym and spa. + Free bottled water provided daily.

- Relatively far from Pavilion KL, at a 25-minute walk. And during peak times, rideshare times are just as long. - Mini-fridge was stocked with pay-to-use drinks, which left little room for our own food; we could fit 6x 500mL bottles. - Swimming pool was frequently crowded as it was too small for the large number of rooms.

Pro’s: I stayed for around 10 days at the Intercontinental, and had a pleasant stay. Location wise it’s excellent, a short walk to KLCC, shops and restaurants and it’s on the busy Ampang road, making it easy accessible with taxi and public transport (Ampang Park). If you leave the hotel and go right you’l reach a small mall just by crossing the Tun Razak road. It has an excellent supermarket with good coffee and a large selection of ready meals and good wine, as well as several smaller but excellent venues. If you go left and take the first fly-over you’ll find a food truck park with good and very cheap Malay food. Room is quite big, with a good sized bathroom and an excellent bed. WiFi is good, and lighting can be adjusted in an easy way. AC was excellent, quiet and without a lot of wind blowing. Cleaning was done each day during my breakfast. Breakfast itself has a good spread of Malay and Indian food, and the usual choices of eggs and a small salad and fruit drink counter. Fresh noodles and all the trimmings too. Kudos to Jodhi and his team for recognizing me and giving me a bit of extra attention. Check-in and out was a breeze by competent employees. Pool and gym were extremely quiet except on weekends when there would be the occasional family gathering, but even then there was ample room. If you can get a good deal it’s an excellent choice.

Cons: Breakfast is a bit monotonous and lacks luxury items like smoked salmon. Fruit consists mostly of melon, melon and the occasional melon. And it can be impossibly busy during weekends, when even a part of the lobby is transformed with tables. Children galore. I felt uncomfortable when a Chinese lady appeared at breakfast in the bathrobe and slippers provided by the hotel. As I was considering upgrading myself to the club floor and lounge I found out that what you have to pay extra for each occasional day is the same as booking it for your stay. If you travel alone you pay the same as two people staying in a room. It’s around RM300 (EUR 60). For two persons it might be a reasonable price, for one person it isn’t worth it.

The location of the hotel is very convenient. The train is just located across the road. Very close to many eateries and just walking distance to the nearby malls. Hotel staffs were all really friendly and helpful, concierge staff even helped me through my process of car rental there. Room was clean and breakfast was excellent.

The mattress and pillows were too soft, not to my preference 😅 had back aches afterwards. Since we were staying in most of the time, the TV channels were limited and no access to netflix or other streaming apps, water heater in the shower sometimes working and sometimes not working.

I like the location. It's near the KLCC and there is plenty of places to eat around.

Receptive staff and very helpful from the start. Premises was clean and everything went smoothly. Nice room. Room service had a good selection of food and beverages. Bottled water available in the room and topped up on request. Very polite and helpful staff, including Housekeeping and Room service. Short walk to KLCC and other malls. Central location and easy travel options. Good selection of breakfast at the buffet. We did not go for lunch/dinner, but took note of what was being prepped, looked good.

The pillows were too soft and we had to double up for proper head and neck support.

The spacious and tidy room, the gym and the pool, the stable and fast WiFi, the convenient location, and on top of everything, the tasty feast of breakfast. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We stayed for 10 nights and it felt like home away from home by the time we checked out.

If I really have to be picky, outside food (even snacks) wasn't allowed in the pool area. Due to safety reasons, our outside food (leftovers, for example) couldn't be warmed up in the hotel kitchen.

The location where this hotel is the main advantage.. They have smoking options on their rooms..

THE FOOD.. Keeping the name intercontinental,they have only their local food..

Good location for either transport to Petronas Towers & Suria KLCC or 10 minute walk. Superbly furnished and equipped with fabulous breakfast. Staff were all welcoming and helpful. Close to bus and train stops on Ampang Road. Nice pool area with towels, cold water and helpful staff.

Road noise from adjacent major road (Ampang) - especially at night between 01:00 - 05:00 with motorbikes in mass transit. This despite us being on 20th floor and facing away from road.
