Convenient location: center of Sliema, everything (Lidl, the beach, local shops) is close. Very responsive service, water, cleaning, towels exchange were done without any reminding. We took half board and the food was delicious, especially desserts, a lot of sea food, local specialities, big variety, even some extras on the weekend. Waiters remove dishes very fast. We had luck and even got a restaurant upgrade (in the neighbor 5 star hotel: AX The Palace). Nice gym, sauna and indoor pool (heated), everything is clean, comfortable and has all necessary equipment (towels, water, cosmetics). There was also water, cosmetics, safe (but we didn't use), fridge, tea and coffee bags in the room. We'll definitely come back. Thank you so much, vacation was amazing.

Nothing to say, TV does not support streaming platforms (like Netflix) but these are really small things compared to all the amenities and advantages of the hotel.

Would have been good to know before hand the road construction going on around the hotel entrance. Nt agood start, walking around the mess, to try to find the entrance.

The hotel is phenomenal and deserves five stars. It is located in an ideal location from where there are many opportunities to visit neighboring towns and cities. The hotel serves an incredibly good breakfast and there is something for everyone. The hotel has one outdoor pool on the eighth floor and another indoor smaller pool on the seventh floor. Extremely pleasant hotel, very clean and tidy with extremely friendly staff. Since the hotel itself is located at the very top of Sliema, wherever you go down to the coast you will come across a nicely decorated promenade and there are also numerous bus stops. Bus traffic works well, but one fact should be kept in mind: THERE IS A LOT OF AUTOMOBILES AND EVERYTHING IS RESISTANT! A city bus covers a distance of about 30 kilometers in about an hour and twenty minutes!. It took us 30 minutes from the hotel ado airport (it's about 7 km)!. The water from the tap is not drinkable, but it is bacteriologically correct. Malta should be visited because of its interesting history, but keep in mind that it is not a destination for swimming!.

Everything was perfect and there was nothing to complain about. The problem may be that there is too much traffic on the road because there are too many cars. The Maltese authorities must resolve this as soon as possible. Also, a problem for older people is the configuration of the city itself - many climbs at incredible angles. The place is executive if you need to get in better condition for climbing Mt Everest!.

What an impressive user experience! Our first visit to Malta and stay at the AX Hotel was truly exceptional. For a mere 25 euros extra (note: off-peak season), we could upgrade to an Executive Suite with a private sauna. Arrival: The staff left us impressed with their incredible friendliness. Never before have I been treated so warmly and respectfully in any of my previous hotel stays. Despite the affordable off-peak season rates, we experienced top-notch service that made us feel like VIPs (even though we didn't avail ourselves of such treatment). A huge thank you to the entire hotel team for a fantastic vacation. Room: The Executive Suite was an absolute dream. The view could have been better, but the room was one of the cleanest we've ever stayed in. It was spacious and had everything one could need – simply fantastic. The culinary experience was just mega. The variety and quality of the food exceeded our expectations. The waitstaff were uniformly great, always attentive and friendly. Without a doubt, this hotel must be recommended – from the excellent cuisine to the top-notch service, an all-around successful experience. Finally, we would like to express our sincere thanks to the entire staff for this wonderful vacation. Your outstanding service and the friendly atmosphere made our stay an unforgettable experience. We are regulars at this property because the rooms are classically designed, spacious and well equipped. The location is ideal with bus connections across the island and close to local amenities. It is also quiet. The food is of high quality with a buffet that contains staples and changing special dishes e.g Maltese pastries at breakfast and different meat and fish dishes in the evening buffets. Finally, the staff are highly courteous, polite and committed to ensuring an enjoyable stay. This is our number one hotel in Malta that we keep coming back to.

Good breakfast, room was big. Indoor pool, sauna and steam room was good. Small but okay.

Check-in was the problem. We were early so we're asked to wait till 3pm. check-in was completed. However customers coming at 2.45pm were given priority and we had to ask for the access card at 3pm. Even then nothing was ready for us. Waiting in the lobby seeing reception staff handing room cards to late arrivals was a pain The reception staff need to get themselves organised. Poor service.

Close to the sea (3 min). Close to the bus stop to Valetta (10 min). Awesome dinner and good breakfast. Teapot, mini bar and bottle for water in the room. Wonderful staff. Gorgeous pool on the roof and a good pool inside.

The room requires small cosmetic fixes. It will be good to have a bit more variety of sausages (or something like that) for breakfast. Not close to the historical Valetta part, but it is expected.

Good value for money. We were offered a room upgrade on 5th floor and a voucher for 2 free drinks (we chose changing the towels every 2nd day). The room was big enough and a big plus for having a balcony. The breakfast was the same, more or less, everyday, but you could choose from many options. It was nice that you could have omlette prepared on spot. During summer, outdoor pools are great to use. Gym is big enough. Parking is also provided, if needed.

Well, there aren't exactly 4 stars there. The hotel looks pretty old, the walls in the room were dirty. Although we agreed on having the towels and sheets changed every 2nd day, no one came for cleaning. We had to call the reception on our 3rd day stay so the cleaning could change us the towels, bring toilet paper, some slippers and take out the garbage. Not even in the 4th day did the cleaning entered the room. The indoor pool was not heated, so we had to leave, due to cold water. (Be aware that the indoor and the outdoor pool are shared with the hotel next to it - AX The Palace). The saunas are pretty small, only 4 people could fit.

The hotel was amazing. The room is spacious with a massive bed. Nice bathroom with great shower. Breakfast was very well stocked in a lovely room/hall. The location was great for us. It's in a great road in Sliema. Near to the Valletta ferry and near to the coast for walks etc. The staff were a highpoint. All lovely and helpful. The restaurants on site are really good and the Pools are amazing. Loads of beds and chairs, bars and food with table service. One of the best hotels we've stayed in. Good underground parking as well. 5 euros a day but totally secure and spacious.

The rooms were clean, spacious (balcony classic room) although pretty humid; every day cleaning service was very efficient, DELICIOUS breakfast, the indoor very elegant, good location

The indoor swimming pool was overcrowded, very loud, people were going around with outdoor shoes on; parking issue - firstly they wrote 3 euros per day, at the reception desk I found out it's 5 euros and in the end, at the payment moment, I was informed that it's 5 euros TRULY a day - if parking at night on Saturday and leaving in the morning on Sunday the payment was 10 euros because they calculated actually two full days which AT LEAST should be clearly said in the beginning, we were left with the comment "that's how it is"
