I wasn't expecting to enjoy my stay here as much as I did! Very friendly staff - especially Dhanraj at the reception treated us with the service expected of a 4 or 5 star hotel ✨ The amenities were well-kept, hostel was clean overall, areas for working were spacious (with sufficient wifi in all areas I was in), and kitchen was large enough to do regular cooking. Bedrooms were not overcrowded with beds, so that one could comfortably move through the room (stayed in a female dormitory).

Very nice stay overall. It could have been helpful to have some soap in the bathroom/ showers :)

I had a lovely stay for 9 nights at the end of May. The staff like Donraj and the French girl was very charming and caring and we had nice chats. They also gave me good advice on trips around the islands. The room was clean when I arrived and it was cleaned thoroughly every morning. The view from my room to the bay was stunning. It is a small hostel with a well equipped kitchen right at the reception. People were generally nice and respectful. No parties were held in the hostel. I slept very well. If it's too hot outside, a fan cools the room down. Sliema centre is just a 10 minutes foot walk away. The nearby bus station Exiles Bay is a good starting point for bus trips northwards or even to Valetta. Sliema‘s beach is just a footwalk up to 5 minutes away. You can view a beautiful sunrise in the early morning. There are also several supermarkets and grocery stores nearby. In general the surrounding is very nice with old Maltese houses with their typical balconies. It is quiet, too.

Only (very) small things: The beds are a bit creaky and I missed a wooden bar at the back of the bed because I almost fell down once when I was sitting on the edge of the bed. The pipe to hold the shower curtain came apart several times. Apart from this, the shower was okay. The selection of kitchen knives could be larger. A smaller knive for fruits and vegetables would be perfect.

This hostel is great in every aspect. Good location, exceptionally clean, well equipped and superb staff who care about their place of work. Nothing is too much trouble and they give every traveller, good, friendly help and advice. Dhanraj is an absolute gem and is a stand out member of the team. The level of cleanliness is at hotel standards - in fact better than some hotels I've stayed in. The kitchen is a great hub to meet like minded people after a long day of exploring and certainly has a huge footfall from every part of the globe passing through which made my experience so much richer. To sit chatting to people from all walks of life and nationalities was very enjoyable. Do I recommend Corner Hostel? Absolutely :-) Thanks for everything you do - I will be back.

Tiny gripe. It maybe an idea to tell guests arriving in the middle of the night the location of their bed ie top bunk on the right, bottom bunk on the left as we had a few shining their mobile lights at us looking for bed A or B etc waking us up.

Very easy to arrive at the hostel from the airport! The rooms were comfortable with a table for people who want to work / rest. I was lucky enough to be moved to a female room after my first night in a mixed dorm. But both rooms were nice and my roommates were friendly :)

It is located in the city Sliema, so it takes 40 minutes one way to Valletta (capital), for most bus transfers / ferry to Gozo, which was a little bit far. However the city of Sliema is very pretty, with rocky beaches just steps away!

Above all, excellent customer service. The staffs are very helpful, friendly and accommodating. Great value for money the the location 2 mins walk to beautiful promenade of Sliema, St Julian, all the nicest restaurants, bus stops and safe area. Our room (4bedder) and separate toilet (private) across the room were both cleaned and maintained daily. Towel rental is reasonable, 4eur, good quality and clean beddings too. Thank you for making our stay great experience with Malta. Well done to all the staffs!! Will definitely stay again.

I had a great time staying at this hostel in Sliema, Malta. The staff were amazing – very friendly, helpful, and always smiling. They gave great tips about the area and were always ready to help with anything I needed. The beds were really comfortable, and I slept very well during my stay. The kitchen was clean, spacious, and had everything I needed to cook meals, which was really convenient. The best part was the location – right in the center of Sliema, just a short walk from the sea, restaurants, shops, and bus stops. It was the perfect base for exploring the island. I would definitely recommend this hostel to anyone visiting Malta. I’ll be happy to come back in the future!

I had an amazing stay at Hostel Corner and can wholeheartedly recommend it. I especially want to highlight Dhanraj, the young receptionist from India. He was incredibly friendly, helpful, and always had a warm smile. He patiently answered all my questions and shared great tips about the area, making my stay truly unforgettable. The hostel itself is clean, cozy, and perfectly located. The relaxed atmosphere and inviting common areas make it easy to feel at home. A big thank you to the entire team, especially Dhanraj, for the exceptional service. I will definitely be back!

The place was exceptionally clean, very close to the sea but also very quiet. The staff member was amazing, HE was so kind and such a genuinely nice person, who always has a warm smile to greet you, it felt like I was part of the corner hostel family, and this wasn't just to me I saw he welcomed all of the guests in the same way. If you are going to stay in Malta this should be the place that you stay, it is cozy and welcoming. In fact I would rate it as the best hostel that I have ever stayed in. I arrived on my birthday and I was given a very heart felt happy birthday, when I returned that day, although he had nothing else to give I was given one of his personal snacks as a gift. I know it wasn't much but it felt very special - its not the expensive presents that you remember the most, but I think i will always remember that present. Thank you for making my stay feel like I was part of your family. Oh the bed was also very comfy, and the pillows were good too.

Worst thing about the place is that I had to leave and go home!!!!!

I’ve stayed in countless hostels across the world over the past 10 years, and this one stands out. The team at the reception Dhanraj, Viktoria, Cléo and Margaux were hands down the best I’ve ever encountered. Friendly, helpful, and genuinely kind, they went out of their way to make everyone feel welcome. Whether it was giving local tips, helping with bookings, or just having a nice chat, they were always available and smiling. It felt more like staying with friends than at a hostel.

Dhanraj concerns every guest's needs and tries to help each one of the guests. He likes to chat with every guest and makes us at home in the guesthouse. Victoriam is also a lovely staff who solves the guest's problem immediately. For example, when I found that the wasted water in the basin and the base of the bathing booth didn't go well, as soon as I reported to her, she efficiently cleared the pipe. The wasted water goes smoothly. I feel comfortable staying in this guesthouse. Every corner of the guesthouse is clean and tidy, and the facilities are user-friendly. Thanks for Dhanraj arranging me a bed in the woman-room, that's why I extant the stay in this guesthouse.
