I had a wonderful stay at People & Places Hostel in Sliema. From the start, the hospitality of the manager, Mark, made all the difference - he gave me an extensive list of local recommendations, was always on call to help if needed, and was genuinely friendly and lovely to chat to. The hostel / guesthouse itself is very clean and in a superb location, just steps from the beach and close to everything you need in Sliema. As a female solo traveller, I always felt safe there, which made my stay even more enjoyable. One of my favourite parts was the rooftop terrace - a great spot to relax with beautiful views of the sea and Sliema. I was also able to extend my stay without any hassle, which I really appreciated. The only thing to keep in mind is that there’s no kitchen and no air conditioning in the rooms, but if you know that when booking and it’s not a deal-breaker, it’s absolutely fine. Another note - this is not a party hostel but more of a guesthouse, which suited my needs. Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay and have already recommended this hostel to friends. Would have been a 10/10 if there was a kitchen but I knew that when I booked.

Best hostel i ever stay!I was more then 300 different hostels all arond the wourld! Sweetest owner/maneger i ever see,kind and super caring person. Everything is clean,building is fresh and after reconstruction. Big hallway/living chilling room on 1 level. Elevator is big plus! Perfect clean rooms,good and comfort beds. A+++ level bathroom and shower! Nice terrace on rooftop with chairs,table. Excelent location!

The room is very clean and the ambiance is very relaxing. It exceeded my expectation, the room has almost everything that you need ( refrigerator, microwave, utensils etc) If i would have known, i would have stayed longer in this place. The check in/check out process is very convenient, no hassle at all. There is the vending machine in the common are that is very helpful. Almost perfect and highly recommended. I will come back definitely.

The location is perfect, it takes only one minute to get to the beach and to the main street. The manager was kind, friendly and very well organized - he sent the necessary information before the check-in and made sure everything went smoothly. Everything at the hostel works great, it gets cleaned every day, and the lobby downstairs is quite aesthetic and pleasant. I would definitely recommend it and come back myself.

Really nice location, quiet but still lively and you can find both traditional and modern blending together. Easily accessible to the capital and many means of transportation to choose from close-by. The staff were very helpful and had a good demeanor and pleasent attitude. Overall very good value for the price and felt very safe even as a solo traveler.

Needs at least a towel rack and hook per person or some other way to let wet towel dry as the room becomes musty. Extra fans for the summer. Some cleaning products for the bathroom would be appreciated. Towel was too small to use for body

People and Places was truly a wonderful place — very clean, quiet, and comfortable. The location is excellent, and Mark is by far the kindest person I’ve met in Malta. He did everything he could to help, and thanks to him, I felt completely at home. I highly recommend staying here — it’s more than just accommodation, it’s a warm and welcoming experience.

I apprecitate the warm welcome and especially Mark who was very kind and helpful as I arrived early and needed to do some work online. Also, I appreciated that staff was in touch with me via text and helped move my belongings as I was out and about walking in town. I recommend this place very much. Very clean, a central location and very modern.

The beds are some of the most comfortable I've slept on in my life. The people who work are very kind and nice, always available for all information, the room is large and comfortable and thanks to the elevator, the room itself is easily accessible. It is also nicely lit and the air conditioner works very well, even too well :)

Unfortunately, the pressure in the shower is terribly weak, it takes much longer to shower than it really should. The toilet bowl was poorly cleaned, there were black marks on the board, which is by far the biggest minus of this facility. The door to the room is a little harder to open, but that's not a big problem.
